"I'm serious."I laugh out loud.

"Yeah sure" I reply back and Reagan clicks her tongue.

"Fine, believe what you want" she replies in a strop.

"Hey, I didn't say I don't believe you" I tell her as we reach my front door.

"Well it sounds like you don't" she says and walks through the door once I've opened it.

"Hey, I do believe it." I say as I run in after her. I shut the door locking it and walk towards the kitchen where she is, looking through cupboards. "What happened after?" I ask her showing her how interested I am. She looks back and leans on the counter.

"Well, after I prank called Mr Bart saying I was his mistress, I got found out because I kind of forgot to turn my no caller ID on. So when he called the number back, I obviously answered it and yeah... that's how I got in deep trouble. I can't believe I made such a silly mistake. I must be going forgetful in my old age" she says thrusting her hands in the air. I chuckle at her dramatic outburst. "So... is anyone home?" She asks me and all of a sudden she becomes a little shy. I squint my eyes at her change of behaviour.

"Does it sound like someone's home?" I rhetorically ask her and she rolls her eyes.

"It was just a simple question" she grumbles out.

"Yeah, a very stupid simple question" I reply back teasingly.

"Yeah yeah whatever" she takes out a jar of Nutella and a toast with banana.

"Want to make me one?" I ask her pouting and giving her my puppy dog eyes. She scoffs and takes a huge bite from her food.

"Yeah, no way. Nice try though. The puppy dog eyes was a good touch. Fortunately, it doesn't work on me." She says and walks out of the kitchen to where I presume the living room.

"You mean UNFORTUNATELY!" I yell back at her as I follow after her.

"Whatever. Now, Netflix. Hurry and put it on"

"Put what on?" I ask her once I'm seated. She switched the tv on and looks through the movie selections.

"Hmmm, how about instant family? I've wanted to watch that" I shrug and nod my head agreeing. We put it on and shut the curtains. I quickly grab a handful of snacks and situate them all over the coffee table. By the time the movie had finished, the snacks were all gone and it was now six in the evening. The front door opens and in walks dad and Leith. I stand up and so does Reagan. Dad and Leith don't notice us as they chatter among themselves, hanging up their coats and taking their shoes off. Reagan and I look at each other before I cough to get their attention. They both turn around and their eyes go wide when they see Reagan.

"Hello Mr Slater, Leith" Reagan automatically goes nervous once she sees Leith. I try to hide my smile. Yup, definitely still got a crush on my brother. I see Leith go stiff as he gazes at my friend. it's then I become a little bit suspicious. I look between them curiously. Before I could ask anything dad jumps in.

"Reagan Carter. Great to see you. My, you've grown" he gestures to her entire form and she nervously chuckles. Dad walks forward and hugs her. She closes her eyes and smiles. Reagan and dad are like the best of friends. Because of the death of her dad, my dad has been like a father figure to her. Her step-dad wasn't any same. He has two kids. A daughter, Clarissa and son, Ben. To say Reagan liked them was an understatement. She absolutely hated them with a passion especially her step-dad, Danny.

"I've really missed you Mr Slater" she mumbles as she hugs him tighter. I look at Leith to see him looking down. What's going on?

"Will you be staying for dinner?" They part from the embrace and she gives him a sorrowful look.
