New Dancers (Dance Moms Fanfic)

Chapter 17

~Layla POV~
Ms. Abby called us in to Studio A after everyone go here.
Abby- Congrats on your clean sweep last week. But lets get to the pyramid. First is Mackenzie, next is Chloe, Nia, Kendall, and then Lyric. You all in the same row because of the group dances. On top of the pyramid is our winning duet partners, Maddie and Layla. You guys almost had a perfect score. Now on to the dances for this week, Chloe, Maddie, and Kendall you will have a trio called Fame. Layla you will be doing a ballet solo called The Queen and Lyric you will be doing a duet with a boy called Le Corsaire. Nia and Mackenzie you will also be doing solos. Mackenzie your solo is called Out Of My Mind and Nia your solo is called Goodbye Maya. We're doing a jazz group dance called Grown Woman. I want a clean sweep again this week. Moms, if you want your child to have a private, you need to plan them. Girls, I also want you to work on your dances by yourself as well. One more thing, I want you all to invite your families to come watch you dance. That's it Moms your dismissed, girls lets get started.

~Staci POV~

We were sitting upstairs watching the girls learn the group dance. I think this dance is going to be a winner.

Jill- I think that its great Abby is giving all of the girls an extra dance this week.

Holly- Me too. I just hope that every dance has the same attention.

Christi- I think one dance is going to have less time and that's why she's offering privates.

Melissa- Speaking of privates, Staci your daughters had a ballet private this morning didn't they?

Staci- Yes they did. All of my daughters had privates.

Jill- Did your daughters start their dances?

Staci- Lyric and her partner worked on some partner work but they did not start their dance and Layla I believe know 30 seconds of her dance. But Abby told me when I walked in that she was going to start their dances early because ballet is a harder style to learn. My kids did not ask to start their dances early.

Holly- I agree that ballet is a harder style. I wonder if Abby will run their dances at all today.

Staci- She might or she might not. But its not like the girls know their who dance. All of the girls are going to do great this weekend.

Jill- Since you been here all day, do you already have your privates planed out?

Staci- The only privates I have planned are for my younger girls but for the twins no. I didn't know what they were going to learn today, so I didn't plan any.

Melissa- I was just wondering because when Maddie has privates before rehearsal and she has a solo she learns half of it.

Staci- Well, I had 6 girls in here. So, it would be a bit hard to learn half a solo when you have a lot of distractions in the room. Anyways on another topic, I'm glad that Abby is letting us invite our whole families.

Christi- Same. It will show them why the girls are always at the studio and why we spend so much money.

Holly- I also think the girls will dance better knowing that their family is out and has never seen them dance on stage before. I just hope that nothing goes wrong.
