The first day of classes was finally coming to an end. It wasn't anything special really. Mr. Aizawa revealed that he lied to us about expelling last place in the quirk apprehension test so that meant Izuku wasn't going home. I also decided that until I got a few training sessions with Mr. Aizawa and All-Might, I wouldn't reveal my powers to my class. I didn't want to take the chance of loosing control and accidentally hurting someone.
I was getting my bag so I could leave and return home when a certain ash blonde appeared at my desk and looking pretty angry. "How did you get in on a fucking recommendation with no quirk?"
I stood up calmly while pulling my backpack over my shoulder, his eyes on me the entire time. "I chose not to show my quirk today. Only idiots show everything the first day and make threats. What you saw today was all physical. I've worked hard to be where I am. Don't underestimate someone you don't even know Katsuki."
"What do you fucking mean? Are you threatening me you bitch?"
"Oh... no, I would never." I grab the rest of my things and leave before he can say another word to me. I left through the front gates and began my journey home.
What an asshole. Seriously, who does he think he is. I know I'm really good too, but I don't brag about it to everyone and put people down for it! Like seriously! Well he's got another thing coming if he thinks that he can just walk all over me. Especially with his quirk against mine. Just you wait Katsuki Bakugo. Just you wait.
~The Next Day~
I got to school really early in the morning to have a two hour training session with All-Might and Aizawa. After I changed into my gym uniform I had received the day before, I arrived at Gym Gamma.
"Good Morning young (L/n)! How are you doing this morning?"
"I'm fine. What will we be working on this morning?" As I asked this question I heard something rustle behind All-Might and realized that Mr. Aizawa was getting out of his sleeping bag and heading towards us.
"Before we start helping you control your quirk, we want to first begin by assessing how much stamina and and technique you have. We know that you have been training since a young age, but we need to see how far you are first."
"I understand Mr. Aizawa."
"Let's begin."
...
I arrived in the classroom after I had changed into my regular school uniform. Most of the class was already here and talking, I believe there are about five still missing. Class didn't start for another five minutes, but I still didn't feel like joining any group discussions. I sat down in my desk and tried to relax until the bell rang.
The talking was so loud from my classmates. I couldn't concentrate on my breathing and staying calm while I heard the piercing pitches of some of the girls laughter's. A few of the boys were also getting rowdy, but I kept my eyes closed and laid back in my desk.
After a few minutes, the bell rang and Mr. Aizawa walked in, giving out today's schedules. It seems that after lunch we will be doing one on one matches in the gym I spent some time in this morning.
We had our first class with both Present Mic and Ectoplasm before lunch, and soon we had already eaten and were back to our seats.
"Alright, as I said this morning, you will be performing one on one matches against another classmate. We will randomly decide who is against who when we are down their. Oh and I should probably mention that this will be a tournament." Some of my classmates got really excited about the idea of a tournament and started cheering. Soon everyone rushed off to the locker rooms to change while I calmly walked through the halls.
The whole class arrived at Gym Gamma and it seemed that the most popular emotion among them was excitement. I didn't understand why, it was just a gym.
"Okay, we are drawing spots now. Give me a few minutes and I will update the board for the match-ups." I waited it the same spot I stood while Mr. Aizawa drew the random pairs. Everyone else lingered off around the front entrance to talk again. I noticed in my side vision one other figure standing still like I was. I didn't care for who it was so I simply closed my eyes, placed my hands in my pockets and focused on my breathing.
Meditation. It wasn't something that I had a lot of chances to do, but in times like this, where I had just a few minutes to spare, it was nice.
"Alright everyone, come back over here." I lifted my head up and opened my eyes. My classmates had resumed their positions around me and we all gave Mr. Aizawa our attention. "First match-up will be Tokoyami vs. Sato. Take your spots here everyone else stand away from the circle. Make your opponent immovable or out of the circle an you win."
As the first match was taking place, I began to notice how small the circle was. it was about the size of a standard wrestling mat, so about 40 feet in diameter. Not a lot of room for those with long distance attacks. I didn't pay much attention to the first fight, but I saw Tokoyami's manifestation throw Sato out of the ring. everyone clapped for the two of them, while eagerly waiting to hear who goes next.
"Next up... Kirishima vs. (L/n)."
I walked up to the center of the circle and shook Kirishima's hand before we started. If I remember correctly from yesterday, his quirk had something to do with the durability of his skin? What did he call it? Hardening I think is what it's called. Not flashy, but something that could definitely prove to be a strong quirk with the correct training plan.
"Begin!"
