(XENA’S POV)

“Wow. It’s so nice to see you”, I joyfully said

Ayokong ipakita na weak ako.

Ayokong ipakita na nasasaktan ako.

Ayokong ipakita na affected ako sa nalaman ko.

“Anyway, congratulations nga pala sa engagement mo”, pinilit kong wag maging sarcastic and said it in a very sincere way although I don’t want it to be sincere.

“X-Xena.. I just want to say something”

Kanina lang Ms. Alvarez ngayon Xena na? Aba matinde!

“Call me Ms. Alvarez. I am much more comfortable with that”

Tension is building up.

“Xena I’m not here to quarrel with you”, he’s still calm despite of the tension

I eyed him, “And I’m not here to quarrel with you too”

“I told you I’m not here-----“

“I know!”, I cut him off. Naiirita ako sa sinasabi niya. Paulit-ulit nalang!

“Ano ba ang gusto mong sabihin Brenn!?”, I can’t see any expression in his face. Why is he like this!?

“Let’s not see each other anymore”

Parang may nabasag na salamin sa kaloob-looban ko. Seeing him face to face brings back sad memories but what just he had said tore me apart.

If he wants it to end, then I can’t do anything about it.

“Fine”
