It was finally Friday, and luckily for Felix it was a half-day at school. He rushed his goodbye to his friends and Chan; hastily pecking the older boy on the cheek before initiating his plan. This plan, in particular, didn't require Chan to run as seamlessly as Felix hoped it would - and frankly, he was fairly confident it would go just fine.
And so he waited; (only two minutes).
"Bye..." said Jisung, clearly unable to contain his smile - henceforth, his excitement came into light; only causing Minho's heart to melt at the sight in front of him.
He grinned back at the younger boy. "Bye," he answered, his tone fitting his expression.
"I'll see you tomorrow?", asked Jisung. His tone was hopeful - and shy; yet he knew the answer - they both did.
The older boy picked up on this tone, chuckling lightly as he, himself, felt the same way around Jisung and they hadn't even gone on their first date yet. Although - there had been something between the two, some time before. Finally, Minho answered. "Of course," he said whilst grinning. "I'll pick you up at 6:30pm." This caused the younger boy to grin, too.
Their fingers brushed slightly as they spent a moment indulging in the comfortable silence; soon parting with a tinge of sadness - both boys hoping Saturday evening would come sooner.
Once Minho made his way to the car, he certainly didn't expect to see what he did. His mood immediately changed - from neutral to confusion - to irritation.
Before him stood an ever-so-smug Lee Felix. Not only this, but Felix's stance emitted such a patronising, cocky aura. He wore a mischievous grin and in his eyes, a sly glisten could be seen. The blond soon spoke, knocking Minho back to reality. "Get in, loser. We're going shopping."
His face grimaced at this, eyebrows furrowing as he looked sharply at Felix. "One: this is my car. Two: why are you leaning on it? And three: who said I'm taking you shopping?" Once Minho had finished speaking, he cocked an eyebrow at Felix; waiting expectantly.
The younger boy began by letting out a rather dramatic sigh. "Yes, this is your car. I'm leaning on it because I felt I looked nicer like this - oh, could you take a picture of me like this so I can post it on Instagram? And lastly," said Felix; his tone as satisfied as ever knowing all of his answers were plausible: "I don't have my license yet. Plus, I've been in need of some new clothes. So I spoke to your mum and she said you can take me! Since no one else can."
Minho wanted to roll his eyes on hearing the last part. "Not even your... boyfriend?", he said; tone slightly harsh on the last word.
Felix huffed as he stood properly, crossing his arms. "Chan, Changbin and Jisung are hanging out. They're working on a project for their music class so... No," he answered; making sure he seemed unamused.
Minho grumbled to himself before contemplating. His mum would be a bit annoyed if he didn't go; yet he'd be much more annoyed if he did go. Sighing quietly in defeat - as he did not want Felix to hear - he unwillingly grabbed his car keys from his pocket. To this, Felix grinned brightly. "Thank you, hyung!" he said; voice filled with over-the-top with sweetness. As a result of this pretentious act, Minho rolled his eyes. Soon enough, they made their way to the mall.
"Hm, this is cute. What do you think?" enquired the blond as he looked over at the brunette. There Minho stood, with a enormous pile of clothes in his arms and a very, very unimpressed facial expression. Yet Felix acted as if he payed no heed to this as he maintained a sweet smile.
Minho grumbled in his dull response. "Don't know. Looks okay."
Felix pouted at this before turning around to face Minho and fully and crossing his arms. "Hyung. You have to help me. On mine and Chan's next date we're going to this new restaurant and I have to look beautiful. And since Jisung is busy, you have to help me," he stated, whining almost (which successfully irritated the older boy slightly).
"Why didn't you just ask Hyunjin?" asked Minho; his tone nothing short of impatience.
Felix huffed in response. "He's on a date with Changbin hyung later!" At this point, both boys were keeping their thoughts and feelings to themselves: Minho was irritated and fed up of shopping with Felix; meanwhile Felix was basking in the glory of success.
"I think..." said the younger boy as he turned back to the cold-shoulder red dress, stretching out his words for unnecessary emphasis. "I'll get it!" he said, grinning. As almost if it were routine by now, Felix found his size then placed the item onto the pile Minho held.
Turning to face another part of the store, Felix gasped in bewilderment. "Ooh, hyung! Look! So many shoes!" As he expected, Minho did not seem to reciprocate his energy.
Yet, Minho did not notice Felix smirk on hearing the older mumble the following words to himself: "Which of these 'heels' can I stab myself with?"
After 4 agonisingly-long hours of shopping and trying on clothes, Felix was finally done. He had enough fun doing both things - shopping and annoying Minho. As both boys waited at the till for his father's card details to be processed, Felix grinned to himself as he unconsciously drummed his fingers on the counter; thinking about how happy Chan will be to hear about the success of his plan.
"I can't believe your dad is letting you buy all this," said Minho. His tone allowed Felix to infer that Minho thought of him as rather bratty, yet Felix didn't really care. He hummed before responding. "It's a treat. He's been away so long and... It's nice to have him back. Some of the stuff I bought was for my mum. He can take her out some place fancy, and then all three of us can go out."
Minho stayed quiet at this, helping Felix carry the bags (although he carried the majority, himself) before he dropped the younger boy off at his house. He was exhausted, to say the least - he couldn't almost feel his arms due to the weight of the clothes and accessories the younger boy bought in excess. Boy, did Felix irritate him beyond belief.
