"We know what you're up to,"
said Chan.
This was followed by a soft giggle from Felix, and two confused looks directly across from them. "What do you mean?" Seungmin asked, eyebrows furrowed.
He and Jeongin exchanged a quick glance before looking back at the two Aussies, in which Felix began to spoke. "We know you've planned this to try and get us to tell what we've helped think of for your anniversary," he said, giggling.
"Yup!" added Chan, "Yet, sorry, Seung. My lips are sealed," he said, mimicking the action.
"Mine, too, Innie. Sorry bub," Felix said, giving the youngest a wide smile. However, he merely received a still-confused Jeongin, who slowly nodded as he glanced away, deep in thought.
"I don't know about you guys but I'm stuffed," Chan announced, gently rubbing his thumb over the back of Felix's hand as he spoke. "Maybe we could meet up for dinner tonight?" he asked, glancing at Felix before looking at the two flummoxed boys.
"Sounds good to me!" Felix chirped, grinning after.
"Sure," Seungmin said, taking ahold of Jeongin's hand, who then got brought back to the present moment.
"We should get going," Jeongin said, his tone leaving no room for discussion. As they stood up, he continued to speak. "We'll see you guys at that new place down the street, 8-ish?" he asked.
"Can't wait," Chan said, flashing them a bright smile before adieus were vocalised and Seungmin and Jeongin were then out of site.
"So..." Chan then said, loosening his grip on Felix's hand as he turned to face the younger blond. "Is it just me or... They're acting a bit weird?" he said, eyes narrowing slightly.
"I kinda thought that, too," said Felix, nodding before he continued. "But, I don't know, when we were at lunch, Seungminnie seemed kinda jittery. Maybe they're just really worried about what to do for their anniversary," he suggested, shrugging his shoulders afterwards.
"Yeah, maybe..." said Chan, tone not reflecting the calmness of Felix's own.
"Anyway," Felix then spoke up. "What do you wanna do?" he said, leaning back to rest in his seat.
"We've got a while to go until dinner," he pointed out, looking up at Chan from his angle with big doe eyes. Cute, Chan thought.
"We could go back to mine?" Chan suggested somewhat unsurely as him and Felix were much more prone to hanging out at the younger boy's house whenever they were together, if they hadn't made plans to go out, that is.
"Sure," Felix said, grinning. "I can't wait to see your dog!" he exclaimed, jumping up. The older boy chuckled before standing up.
"I reckon Berry can't wait to see you, either," he said, before they both made their way to Chan's.
"Ah, Berry!" Felix squealed as he crouched down, allowing the excited dog to jump into his arms. "Who's a good doggie?" he said, pecking the top of Berry's head as the fluffy dog in his arms panted softly, unable to contain the copious amount of excitement.
Felix giggled as he stood up, watching Berry attempt to kiss Chan who laughed heartedly, gently ruffling his dog's hair as he headed upstairs, Felix following suit before he gently placed Berry down, who wandered off into the living room.
"Ah," Felix said, flopping down onto Chan's bed. "Your bed is so comfy," he mumbled, curling up into a ball. Chan chuckled watching the younger blond, unable to refrain from cooing at the cuteness of Felix, who blushed brightly in response. "Shut up, Christopher Bang," he mumbled playfully, clearly indulged by the comfort of Chan's bed.
"Never!" Chan exclaimed, flopping down to lay next to the younger blond, who let out a 'oof' at the actions of the older. Chan then turned to face Felix, whose eyes, in that moment were closed.
Felix hadn't fallen asleep so soon but he was so relaxed that Chan sought the opportunity, as he had done many times, to admire the beauty of the younger boy. Freckles adorned Felix's face like jewellery, yet their beauty couldn't be materialised, at least not to Chan. The younger's nose was so cute, as well as his soft, plump lips that always looked kissable.
Chan couldn't resist but to touch, to gently run his first finger across Felix's bottom lip, only to then caress his cheek. "Lix?" he mumbled, watching at how the younger's eyes opened to look at him.
"Hm?" Felix said.
"You're so... Cute. Have you ever had a real boyfriend?" Chan asked, tilting his head slightly to maintain better eye contact.
Felix chuckled airily before he spoke, voice soft. "There was one guy back home," he started. "I fancied him and we kissed at this bonfire thing, so I'm guessing feelings were mutual but... He wasn't able to adjust to the fact that I wear 'girl's' clothes and, yeah," he finished, shrugging after. "For him it had to be a certain way and for me... My way was different."
Felix finished, yet he didn't expect to be pulled close into Chan's embrace, them both laying down at the same level, despite their natural height difference when stood up.
"That's a shame," Chan said, securing an arm around Felix's waist.
"Yeah..." Felix said, breathily, eliciting a concerned look from the older boy, yet Felix was quick to reassure Chan with his next words.
"Thanks for not judging me," he said. "Thanks for not caring about how I live my life or what I choose to wear," Felix said, sniffling as he couldn't prevent tears beginning to well up in his eyes.
"Hey, hey, hey," Chan said, wiping a stray tear that fell onto the younger boy's soft cheek. "No need to thank me, Lix," he said, softly. "Whatever makes you happy is the only thing that matters. If there's one thing you way you are that I admire - and there's plenty of things about you that I admire," he said, chuckling.
"It's that you're so happy with who you are. Finding that in people nowadays isn't easy, but I see it there in you and for that..." he paused, taking a minute to come down from feeling overwhelmed. "And for that... Who am I to judge the way you do things?"
"No matter what happens... I'm glad I met you," Felix mumbled.
"Me, too," Chan said, grinning softly.
