A/N: this chapter contains alcohol consumption

It was 8pm, Chan and Felix had finally arrived at Jisung's. Currently, they were sat in Chan's car a block away since - strangely - the street was pretty packed that night. For the umpteenth time, Felix sighed. "Do we have to?" he hesitantly asked as he played with the end of his dress (despite its lack of stretchy material).

As a sign of comfort, Chan placed his hand on top of Felix's. "Lix, you remember the pros, right?" Receiving a mere 'hum' in response, Chan couldn't help but fail to withhold a small frown. "It'll be okay. C'mon," he said; and soon they made their way to the front door.

Chan knocked as Felix spoke up once more. "I don't even see why we need to meet at Jisung's. He said dress fancy, and we did. So we could've met them at the restaurant or whatever, right?" he huffed, "There's no need for this double... what."

The door opened as Felix rambled; cutting him off and leaving him in astonishment. Chan, too. Ahead of them was Jisung - dressed up fancy but looking rather smug - and holding what was probably alcohol in his free hand. Behind him, there were several other people; their identity hidden by the colourful lights that illuminated the inside of his house, alongside the music that was heavily boosted.

"What... what is this?" Felix asked. Yet, he only received a bold grin in response as both him and Chan were motioned to come in by Jisung; who then beckoned them to the side after making their way through a swarm of intoxicated people.

"It's a 3racha appreciation party!" said Jisung; hiccuping after as he slurred on his words - quite evidently merry.

Both Felix and Chan wore looks of disbelief; yet happiness, too. Pretty much all of their friends believed that Chan, Jisung and Changbin deserved some appreciation for their hard work and devotion to music. "Enjoy yourself, lovelies!" Jisung exclaimed before he wandered off aimlessly, probably finding Minho (or another drink).

With an evident change of mood and atmosphere between them, Felix turned to Chan who wore the same look of glee. "What do you say, CB97?"

To this, Chan grinned. "I say: let's party." Boy, did they both stick to their words; not long after, Chan, alongside Jisung, Seungmin and Changbin were pretty much plastered. Yet, Felix decided to dance, first.

He was completely in his own world, letting the music take him into a trance; taking over his body as it worked with the beat - seamlessly. He had consumed some alcohol; but clearly not as much as the majority of his friends. This meant he still had much of his stability when it came to dancing, and thankfully wouldn't fall and end up spraining an ankle.

However, Felix soon opened his eyes; leaving his trance-like state as he scanned the room. The colour-changing lights really added to the whole 'free' feeling atmosphere that was created, and it clearly looked like most people had let their hair down. Yet from his peripheral vision, Felix couldn't help notice Chan talking to someone whose back was towards Felix; leaving him wondering who the person was.

Initially, he shrugged it off. Yet he soon turned to face them fully as he realised the person seemed to be getting too touchy-feely with his boyfriend — fake boyfriend, Felix had to remind himself. Why did he even care so much?

Felix tried to convince himself it wasn't a big deal, yet moments later he found himself in the kitchen slumped against the counter with a flat drink in his hand; evidently no longer in the mood to dance. He occasionally glanced at Chan and the unknown person as they interacted, noticing how Chan seemed quite familiar with this person - despite his merry state.

Yet, Felix was soon caught off guard as he felt a weight fall upon his shoulder. "Lixie," the voice whined. It was Hyunjin. Drunk Hyunjin. Felix looked at the older boy, and despite the awkward angle he could tell Hyunjin was bothered by something; not only did Hyunjin clearly seem the party type and in this moment evidently was not, his strong pout was enough to tell his mood.

"What's up, Jinnie?" he asked.

The addressed boy took a long sigh before speaking. "Binnie is acting distant with me..." he said as he fiddled with his ring-adorned hand. Felix's eyebrows furrowed at this; he knew Hyunjin and Changbin were... close (to say the least) but he didn't understand why they'd have issues.

"He's just been... Talking less an' texting less an' laughing less with me... I told Jisung to throw this party just so he might wanna dance with me an' stuff," sulked Hyunjin.

Felix sighed; seeing one of his closest friends so upset impacted his own feelings. He hugged Hyunjin's side and mumbled to him. "It'll be okay, Jinnie. Maybe he's just stressed out with school and stuff." To this suggestion, Hyunjin nodded. He seemed to be less upset as they talked more.

"Jinnie?" Felix asked, hesitantly. The older boy looked at him, allowing him to proceed. "Who's that... Over there with Channie?" He said as he signalled.

After a moment of trying to make out who the person was, Hyunjin let out a little gasp before he mirrored Felix's hesitancy. "That's... His ex."

For a moment, Felix said nothing; much to the surprise of Hyunjin. Instead, he bit the inside of his cheek as he thought. A few tense seconds later, he spoke up. "You gonna finish that drink?" This caused Hyunjin to look down at his drink then at Felix; slowly shaking his head then proceeding to watch Felix down the 3/4 full thing after it was handed to him.

A few hours later, Felix was just as merry as the rest of his friends; yet he was back with Hyunjin in the kitchen. "Lixie," said the latter before hiccuping.

"Hm?" Felix responded, drawing out the 'm' as he slouched onto Hyunjin's shoulder.

"I have an idea... for how we can get their attention all to ourselves," he said.

Felix's eyebrows furrowed as he looked up at the older boy, motioning him to speak. Hyunjin then smirked. "One word."
