Monday had come around again, which, although Felix hated; he was rather excited for what was about to happen. Chan was picking him up that morning, so he woke up slightly earlier than usual to get ready.
He dressed himself in a pastel pink oversized t-shirt and light blue, skinny ripped jeans. With that, Felix wore white sneakers. He then adorned his left hand with rings before brushing his fluffy hair. Soon enough, it was 7:30am and Felix made his way down for breakfast.
"Hi, mum," he said as he entered the kitchen; proceeding to hug his mother tightly - an adorable habit he had since childhood, before kissing her lightly on the cheek.
She smiled softly before running a hand through her waist-length black hair. "Good morning, Fe," she said before taking a bite out of her toast.
"I can drop you off at school today, if you want," she suggested before continuing: "My blood test is at 9am so I don't mind."
Felix grinned at his mother; feeling warm in her loving nature. "It's okay," he responded, as he prepared pancakes for his breakfast. "Chan is picking me up—" not only did Felix pause in his words; he froze.
He wondered if now that him and Chan were fake dating, he'd have to introduce Chan as his boyfriend to his mother. He'd hate to lie to her -- the thought of doing so causing his heart to sink. Yet on the other hand, she'd be gravely disappointed in him if she knew why he was fake-dating the older boy.
"Fe?" his mother called, snapping him out of his dilemma only to see her staring at him suspiciously; an eyebrow raised and a hand on her hip.
He laughed, not as joyful as usual before speaking. "Nothing," he said, hesitant to continue. "I was just... Well, can Chan come round after school? For dinner?" he asked, hopeful she'd say yes.
After a moment of thinking what on earth is on Felix's mind, his mother nodded. "I don't see why not. I'll be home by 6pm. You boys can hang out until then." Felix hummed in response, spreading Nutella onto his pancakes before taking them to the living room to eat.
Once he had done and washed the dishes, he looked out of the kitchen window to see what he presumed was Chan's car until he saw the elder step out and make his way to the front door. Damn, did Chan look good. On hearing the doorbell ring, Felix opened it to greet Chan whose outfit was quite notable, as his own.
However, Chan wore a black hoodie with a t-shirt sticking out underneath, and black ripped jeans with black boots. Felix, in his mind, rolled his eyes at the lack of originality. But hey, black suited Chan, suited Chan well.
He was brought back to reality on hearing the older boy clearing his throat, then moving aside as he grinned. "Sorry," he said, shyly.
This caused Chan to grin as he chuckled; "It's alright," he said as he ruffled Felix's hair. "You ready?" he asked.
The younger blond nodded before grabbing his bag. "Mum!" he called, "Chan's here."
Moments later Chan was face to face with a woman smaller than himself; her expression was nothing short of kindness and excitement. So that's where Felix gets it from. He began to politely introduce himself. "It's nice to meet you, ma'am. I'm Chan, Felix's —" The two boys glanced at each other before Felix nodded slightly; unnoticed by his mother.
"Felix's boyfriend..." said Chan, as he unsurely took ahold of Felix's small hand in his own large one. This caused Felix's mother to gasp as her hand covered her mouth.
"Boyfriend?!" she exclaimed. "Fe, you have a boyfriend!" Both boys awkwardly grinned before Felix tried to ease the tension, playfully.
"Wow, mum. Be careful, you might've inhaled all the oxygen the world has to offer."
She hit his arm lightly before laughing, hugging both boys tight then pulling back to look at them. "You do make a good couple! You go so well together!" she said, clapping ever so excitedly.
Felix's cheeks tinted light pink as Chan's eyes slightly widened. "Muuuuum," said Felix, in a whining manner.
"Oh! Am I embarrassing you? Sorry! I'm just so happy for my baby!" she said, her hands soon finding a place on her cheeks as she took in the joyous news. "Hold on a second...", she said, causing both boys to glance at each other with unspoken words of fear. Has she figured out?!, thought Felix. They both gulped before looking at Felix's mother.
"Is that why you got all weird this morning when you asked if Chan could come for dinner?"
Felix relaxed his tense shoulders before nodding, proceeding to act his way out of this situation. "Yeah," he grinned, pulling Chan closer to himself.
His mother laughed before speaking. "Aw, Fe. Chan is more than welcome to come for dinner!" she pointed out.
This caused Chan to grin as he tried to hide guilt; "Thank you. I look forward to it," he said, in a soft manner.
Soon enough, both boys had left and arrived at school. Once they had gotten out of the car, Chan walked over to Felix. "So... should we hold hands?" he asked, seemingly unsure about how they must come across as a couple.
Felix nodded. "Yeah, but give me your hoodie first," he said, noticing the older boy's confused expression before continuing. "I — I mean so it seems like we're dating. It's not like you smell nice and I'm bound to keep your hoodie, anyway," said Felix, slightly flustered as his cheeks turned a shade of dusty pink.
Chan laughed softly; he'd let Felix keep his hoodie if he wanted to. So once he had handed it to the younger, Felix put it on. Chan noticed how it was much more loose for Felix than it was for himself; and how the younger now had sweater paws. He looked adorable (to say the least). Despite this, Felix rolled one sleeve up to his wrist before taking Chan's hand in his own. "Let's do this."
Minutes later, the two had successfully found their friends - and much to their luck, Minho was also there; speaking calmly with Jisung - who immediately noticed Chan and Felix holding hands as they walked over. "Oh my god!," he exclaimed. "Are you two together?!" This question now gaining the attention of all their other friends present — and Minho's. Chan grinned brightly, glancing at Minho before placing his arm around Felix instead of holding his hand.
"Yup," he said, popping the 'p'.
"We didn't know how to tell you guys that we kinda just... Hit it off differently," said Felix as he nuzzled himself into Chan's side. A few of the boys had cooed at the two, watching how Chan gently pecked the top of Felix's head.
"So you fancied each other but didn't tell us? Come on! You know you can trust me," said Hyunjin as he pouted. "I'm like Gretchen from Mean Girls. I can keep a secret," he added, before winking at Changbin subtly.
"Yeah..." Jisung said. "I'm a little upset you didn't tell me, Lixie. It's cool, though! I'm so happy for you two!"
The others nodded in agreement before Felix looked over at Minho. His expression was unreadable — yet both Felix and Chan had knew they got under his skin. "Can I just... borrow Felix for a second?", he asked, despite pulling the younger away before he could respond.
Once they had reached a more secluded area, Minho's frustration was now expressed. "Are you fucking kidding me, you peanut brain?"
Felix felt giddy; yet he contained himself and instead expressed surprise, with the best of his acting skills. "Crikey, hyung! I thought you'd be happy for me," he said, pouting after. Minho crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
"Seriously? You're dating him? You can't be that stu — you know what? Apparently you can. Have fun, Yongbok," he practically hissed, about to walk off.
"Wait! Hyung! The others will wonder where you've gone... Especially Jisungie." To himself, Felix smirked. He knew he had aggravated his cousin. He couldn't wait to tell Chan. The older boy, after a moment of contemplation, rolled his eyes as he made his way back to the others. Felix watched momentarily before following. This is gonna be a good day.
