At 6:00AM Felix's alarmed blared like klaxon - a shrill noise ringing through his ears, forcing him out of a sleepy state. Although he knew it was coming, Felix's alarm never failed to surprise him — falling out of bed due to its sudden uproar had become a part of Felix's daily routine. Well — his weekday routine.

There would never be a moment he'd willingly wake up at 6:00AM on a weekend; everyone who knew Felix well knew this (especially his mother, who'd never prevail at getting him up before 11AM on a Saturday or Sunday). He grumbled when he realised two things: 1, it's Monday, 2, he has to go to school. Both of these things caused Felix to scowl as he groggily got out of bed; proceeding with his morning routine.

As he headed into the kitchen, a neon-pink sticky note left on the glossy white counter caught his eye; 'Rise and shine, sweetheart! Hopefully you're reading this as you prepare breakfast - although I wouldn't be surprised if you're reading this at 11AM: late. Anyway. Have a wonderful first day! P.S, I spoke to Jia and she said Minho would be delighted to show you around school! Have fun!'

Felix groaned; almost rivalling his alarm when it came to the loudness. He was adamant that there was no way he could have a 'wonderful day' with Minho by his side - all day, at that. With a huff and a pout, Felix quickly made some toast before heading on his way out; locking the door as he did.

The bus stop was only a five minute walk from his house; and that Felix was relieved to know, at least. Yet, he was more relieved to know that he'd not be carpooling with a certain someone. Quickly brushing off the thought that was such a nightmare, Felix headed towards the bus stop, and soon began his journey to his new school.

On arrival, Felix quietly thanked the bus driver before heading out into a scatter of students. There wasn't a uniform required here: just a sensible dress code that all students could adhere to without issue. After the crowd of students had cleared; Felix noticed the grand entrance to the school - and was he amazed.

The building itself was huge (that being an understatement to Felix). A tennis court was in view, on the left hand side of the entrance, its court being a luminous shade of green. 'Suddenly I wanna play tennis,' Felix thought to himself. Finally heading inside; he took a long look at the interior — evidently in awe at what was before him.

He was too dazed to even notice someone stood behind him; until that person tapped his shoulder lightly. This caused Felix to jump and almost scream, 'a reaction so dramatic it's natural at this point,' his mother would say.

Taking a few deep breaths, Felix turned around fully and looked at the boy ahead of him; and once more, he was amazed. The boy had light green eyes, and blond hair like Felix's own. Lighter than Felix's, though. He was quite pale, yet well built. Not much taller than Felix, perhaps a couple of inches.

He wore a look of slight concern - causing Felix to curse at his reaction prior to turning around. "Fuck..." Felix could only say - still in awe at the most mesmerising boy he had ever seen. The boy, on noticing how Felix calmed down, too, calmed down. He released a soft chuckle before holding his hand out, and just when Felix thought this boy couldn't get any hotter; he spoke with a voice so smooth Felix immediately felt weak in the knees.

"Hi... I'm Chan. Bang Chan. Or Chris. You can call me Chan, though... or whatever you'd like," said the boy, who Felix could now identify as Chan, however getting shy towards the end of his sentence; noticing that Felix still stared in awe as he spoke to the younger; Chan's own cheeks turning a small pinky hue.

'Damn, would I call you something else,' Felix thought, before realising he was yet to reply. "Oh! Hi, Chan! I'm Felix!", he responded with, a bit too enthusiastically. However; the taller boy grinned in amusement.

"Well, Felix. It's nice to meet you", said Chan, as the freckled boy returned his awaited handshake.

He was about to continue, yet he looked down at his and Felix's hand to notice that the younger held on, still. Despite their hands not shaking anymore. Felix soon noticed this; his cheeks turning a visible shake of pink before he let go. 'Hm, his hands are quite small. Cute,' thought Chan, before realising he was yet to fully introduce himself. "So, the headteacher told me you were coming, and that it'd be, perhaps beneficial for me to show you around. Since, and I quote, "Aussie to Aussie?"

Felix could not hold back his grin. Not at all. Not only was he happy that someone as beautiful as Chan would be with him throughout the day; he was happier knowing that it wouldn't be his bratty cousin. Chan probably thought Felix was a bit strange due to his rather big smile, yet he shrug it off; because he, himself, was happy the new boy was cute.

There was a short moment of silence between the two before Felix spoke up. "Yeah, that'd be great! Thanks, Chan." Maybe, just maybe, this day won't be so bad - maybe it'll be wonderful, like his mother said, thought Felix. However; Felix then believed he was truly not destined to be happy, as in that moment, an arm draped itself around Felix's small shoulders.

It was annoying; and if it was annoying: it was Minho. Felix's face dropped; quite evidently. For he was too caught up in his own dislike for his cousin that he didn't even notice a similar scowl to his own facing towards Minho.

"Felix-ah. Let's be real, here. I don't wanna show you round. I don't want a shit day. So, you do... you. And don't bother me, yeah?" spoke Minho, with a tone that irritated Felix beyond belief; never mind the words.

"Whatever, Minho", he plainly responded with, "I don't want to you show me around, anyway.
Nor do I need it. Because Chan, here, is gonna do so. So, off you go." Felix motioned Minho to leave with a little 'shoo' of a hand gesture, using his other hand to move Minho's arm from his shoulders. On mention of the other boy's name, Minho looked over to see a face he was all too familiar with. He scowled, mirroring Chan's own facial expression.

The two then had, for what felt like forever, a quite intense stare-off. Felix furrowed his eyebrows at this; watching Minho walk away a moment later before looking back at Chan. "What was..." Felix took a moment to think of any words that could describe what had just occurred, but simply could not. "That?"

Chan looked over at Felix. "Sorry... That's  Minho. Him and I aren't... So keen on each other." On hearing this, Felix's eyes widened.

He was shocked - that someone finally understood his feelings towards the other boy; yet he was happy, for the same reason. "I know who he is... he's my cousin. But I don't like really him either!" exclaimed Felix, joyously.

Chan raised his eyebrows slightly before letting them return to their normal position. "I was gonna ask why, but wouldn't that have been a stupid question," he laughed, Felix joining him and nodding.

"It would've." Felix paused for a moment, before looking up slightly at Chan and saying "Y'know... When I woke up I wanted to be anywhere but school. But now... Maybe it'll be alright." After this, he smiled softly at the taller boy; Chan smiling down at him, too.

"Hopefully it will." The two boys rested in a moment of peace before the bell rang: the school day officially beginning.
