Jisung slowly snapped out of his trance and looked at Felix; about to answer the younger boy's question. Yet, before he could do so, the bell rang; signifying the end of lunch and the start of next lesson. However, this didn't stop Felix from hastily making his way over to the squirrel-like boy and pulling him along - before Minho got the chance to speak to him.
"First of all, what the fuck? How? Why? You do realise he's a brat, right? A complete and utter brat. He's so rude! And annoying! How is that attractive?!," exclaimed the freckled-boy, having to calm down his breathing due to the pace at which he spoke. This stunned Jisung, his own actions almost mimicking a fish as his mouth opened and closed slightly; before opening again for him to speak.
"Well..." he paused for a moment before speaking calmly, "Minho has always been nice to me... he helped me in dance class when it was compulsory for me to join. I practically had two left feet until he came along," said the tanned boy, releasing a soft chuckle followed by a grin at the beautiful memory.
Felix's lips pursed into a thin line. "We're on about the same Minho, right?" he questioned, with an evident hint of confusion in his tone. The older boy then chuckled once again; shaking his head at Felix's reaction.
"Yes. Yes we are... But why do you think he's annoying and rude? I mean, surely he doesn't hang around with a lot of people," the older boy paused before almost spluttering out his next words. "He hangs around with Kim Yongju! Yongju - who's practically an angel, Felix!"
Felix stopped the two of them from walking; just as they were outside of their next lesson. He placed his hands on Jisung's shoulders, (unexpectedly to the older boy), and shook him. "I don't know who Kim Yongju is! And if he's an angel then good for him! But! Minho! Is! Annoying!" exclaimed Felix after every shake.
"Yah! Felix! Stop that!" Jisung responded with; finally managing to remove the younger boy's arms from his shoulders. He huffed before speaking: "I promise, okay? Minho can be nice. Maybe you need to hang out with him more, or something. Oh, that's a great idea! Get to know h—" the squirrel-like boy was cut off from continuing; as a small, small hand was placed over his mouth.
"That's a terrible idea, Jisung. Terrible. I'm already related to him - and, trust me - that is more than enough," interjected Felix; his lips now formed into a scowl and his eyes narrowed (but the older boy thought he just looked adorable). Slowly, Jisung placed Felix's hand down before releasing a small squeak.
"I didn't know you were related, Felix! Oh my god! Wait... You're both Lees! Makes sense, I suppose." Felix sighed quietly to himself; noticing that the boy in front of him had began rambling like he did countless times that day.
"Yes, yes, yes. That's enough Minho talk for today, please. Let's just do some maths," pleaded the freckled boy.
"Fine, fine," said Jisung with a playful huff before turning around and opening the door; the two boys (alas) taking their seats at the back of the class.
Time does not fly when you're having fun, Felix concluded. There was still 15 minutes left of maths. 'More like 15 years,' thought the freckled boy before grumbling to himself. Maths, to say the least, was not Felix's strong suit. He understood the basics; but everything after that was in shambles.
He glanced at the clock for the umpteenth time before getting nudged by Jisung; the younger boy then adjusted his gaze from the clock to look at him. "Yah, Lix," Felix paused on hearing this nickname - he had it before, just didn't expect it so soon from his new friends.
"Yah, Lix!," exclaimed the older boy - almost a bit too loud - but he successfully brought the younger boy back to reality. "Where do you live?," he questioned, quieter than before. Felix had exchanged phone numbers with the other boys - but not addresses. However; he believed that he could trust Jisung with this much information, at least.
On hearing Felix's response, the older boy nodded understanding before speaking: "So you could either get the bus or walk, hm? None of us drive, really," he pointed out, chuckling awkwardly before continuing: "Chan and Changbin do, though. I'm sure Chan would love you give you a lift," said the squirrel-like boy before winking.
This caused Felix's eyes to widen rather quickly. "Yah! Why did you say that so... suggestively?" he questioned, shuddering at the last part. This caused the older boy to burst out into a fit of laughter — before the teacher had quickly shut him up with an ice-cold glare.
Jisung regained himself; catching his breath before looking at the younger boy once more. "Oh, god, Felix. You just made my day," he said, grinning wide. The freckled boy rolled his eyes playfully; the bell soon ringing and, after one last lesson, school soon over.
Felix made his way out of the school - or, practically scurried his way out - not wanting to bump into his cousin. He texted his mother to let him know he had finished and was leaving; placing his phone back in the pocket of his ripped jeans before beginning his journey home.
The weather was nice, so Felix decided to walk. The sun shone brightly, through the blanket of baby-blue that was the sky. Felix sighed in content; his first day was actually great, he believed. He had a cheery group of friends - some of them even gayer than him - (Hyunjin being the first to come to mind as soon as that thought occurred to him).
He chuckled to himself, his freckles illuminated by the sun that shone luminously over him. In his mind he continued to peacefully reflect on his day - until the fact that his new best friend has a crush on the most brattiest cousin in the world had popped into his mind. This caused Felix to scowl; huffing childishly at the thought. He was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice someone walking next to him; until they chuckled at his facial expression.
"Hey, Felix! Cheer up!," the addressed boy recognised the voice as Chan's, before turning to look at him.
"I'm fine!," he whined in return, a pout finding its way onto his mouth. This caused the bleach-blond haired boy to raise an eyebrow questioningly; chuckling lightheartedly nevertheless.
"Tell me, what's up? Did your last lesson suck? When I saw your timetable it said you have music first thing tomorrow, so you'll have me! Hopefully that won't suck," exclaimed Chan, eagerly. Helplessly, Felix grinned widely at the older boy.
"I'll be the judge of that. But, no. Last lesson was fine," he responded with, sighing after.
The older boy then nodded, before realising. "It's the Minho and Jisung thing, isn't it?," he asked; despite knowing the answer.
He certainly didn't expect the younger boy to stop in his tracks and groan, causing Chan to stop too as he watched him. Felix's groan soon turned into a whine, as if he were a child having a hissy fit. "I just... Yes. It's that," he vaguely answered with before the two continued walking. "What... What if they actually date, Chan?" Felix asked after a moment of a somewhat comfortable silence.
The older boy sighed quietly at the tone of the younger; deciding he did not like an upset Felix - even if he was incredibly cute. "Well... I guess it's one of those times where you have to bite your tongue," he responded with; after carefully pondering his answer. Felix nodded, huffing again.
"I guess. This might sound bad, but... Sometimes I wanna get revenge on Minho."
The older boy laughed - his eyes shaping into crescents as his bright smile widened; dimples showing. "It's a natural reaction for annoying family members, I guess," he said; as they continued their journey back to their respective homes. The freckled boy pouted.
"I'll have to think of something, then, won't I? Help me!," he pleaded at the older boy; before stopping in front of his house.
Chan was almost in a state of disbelief at such a request, yet he nodded slowly — almost as if a favour for Felix would be done on instinct. "Great!," exclaimed the younger before holding his phone out to Chan. "Add your contact, so later tonight we can devise our master plan!"
Once Chan had done so, Felix smiled warmly before entering his house. 'This boy...' thought Chan. Two hours later he received a text:
