Labor Time!

Nathan's POV:

Kayla was about to have the babies anyday now and damn was I nervous. We were at the boys house. Us lads were in the living room and Kayla was in my old room when she screamed,

"Nathan!" She wailed. I instantly panicked and raced to the bedroom where Kayla was clutching her stomach. She looked up at me and nodded. My eyes widened,

"Oh my God....LADS THE BABIES ARE COMING!!" I screeched as I grabbed the hospital bag and by backpack. Jay and Max were the first two to appear. I threw the bags at him. They luckily caught them. I carefully helped Kayla up and looked at the boys,

"You call the girls and Kayla's parents and take the bags to the hospital, we have to leave now!" I said hurriedly. All the while Kayla was controlling her breathing an gently rubbing her stomach. I easily picked Kayla up bridal style and ran to the car.

I unlocked it and carefully set Kayla in and buckled her before shutting her door, running to my side, buckling myself in and driving to the hospital with the boys right behind us.

~~~13 minutes later~~~

Still Nathan's POV:

We were finally at the hospital Kayla and I carefully rushed to the front desk,

"We need a room my girlfriend is going into labor!" I said in a rush. The lady nodded and said something into the phone thing they have and a nurse came with a wheelchair. Kayla was helped into it and rushed to the nearest labor room (picture in media), with me right behind her.

Kayla was privately changed into a hospital gown and laid in the hospital bed. They gave her some medication for her pain through an iv and Kayla was soon relaxed with me right by her side in the chair given. Dr. Chang came through the door and smiled when she saw the two of us,

"And how are you doing sweetie?" She asked. Kayla took a deep breath,

"I'm doing good...a few contractions but nothing major.." She said. Dr. Chang nodded,

"Alrighty Kayla I'm just going to see how far along you are." She said. Kayla nodded and propped her legs up as she held my hand. I grabbed we hand with both of mine and kissed it as Dr. Chang sterilized her glove,

"Now you'll feel a little pressure sweetie." She said. Kayla nodded. She crinkled her nose in discomfort. I squeezed her hand. Dr. Chang removed her glove and thre it into the bin nearby as she turned back to us,

"Well Kayla it looks like you're 6 cm dilated so in four more you'll be ready to deliver! I'll see you two in about an hour to an hour and a half!" She said very spritely. We nodded and smiled. As the doctor left, Jay, Max, Siva, Tom, Nareesha and Kelsie came through the door. Kelsie and Nareesha came by Kayla's side and the boys came over to me,

"Hey mate how's she doing?" Max asked. I finishedy hug with him after the others and smiled,

"Kayla's doing good! She's 6 cm dilated so in about an hour to an hour and a half the twins will be here!" I said excitedly. They all smiled and walked over to Kayla as the girls walked over to me. Everyone hugged and took a seat on the couch, then I took a seat at te chair I was sat in before. We all chatted for about 45 minutes when one of the nurses came through the curtain,

"Excuse me Mrs. Sykes would you like some ice chips?" She asked. Kayla nodded,

"Yes please." She said politely. The nurse nodded and gestured to the rest of us,

"Would you all like anything? Water?" She asked. I nodded,

"I'll take one." I said. Everyone exept Jay and Nareesha asked for one. The nurse was back in about 5 minutes. She handed to cup of ice to Kayla. Kayla smiled,

"Thank you." She said. The nurse nodded, gave everyone their water and then left. We talked for about another 25 minutes and that's when Kayla gasped and grabbed her stomach,

"Ow ow ow ow ow!" She said. My eyes widened,

"Nurse!" I screamed as I ran through the door of the delivery room. Our nurse, Rebecca, came running up to me,

"What's wrong Mr. Sykes?" She asked. I smiled,

"My girlfriend is going into labor!" I said. Rebecca smiled and nodded as she paged Dr. Chang. We both ran to the room. Everyone except me was pushed out and I went to get ready to help deliver my 2 pride and joys.

~~~~~4 hours later~~~~~

Still Nathan's POV:

"Oh we can see a head!" Dr. Chang said. I smiled as I held Kayla's hand tighter. I had pulled her hair back into a low bun before we had started. I looked at Kayla,

"Come on baby just a few more pushes and our beautiful babies will be here..." I said softly. Kayla bit her lip. She clenched her teeth and squeezed my hand. And then I heard a sound...the most beautiful sound in the world:

The sound of my babies.......

Kayla's head smacked against the pillows breathing heavily.

"Congratulations Mr. And Mrs. Sykes, you've given birth to two adorable, little babies..." Rebecca said. She handed me a pair of medical scissors and I gladly cut the umbilical cord. How could I pass up that offer?

Rebecca and another nurse wrapped Alexander and Anna-Grace in blankets then handed Anna-Grace to me and Alexander to Kayla. Kayla and I leant our foreheads against each other as we were sat in the hospital bed together and started crying,

'Our Babies Had Been Born'
