Kayla's POV:
It's been about a month and a quarter since Nathan had left. I've done a lot. I've gone shopping with the girls, written a few songs, spent time with Alexander and Anna-Grace...etc. Nathan and I have thankfully been able to kept in touch. FaceTime, Skype, phone calls, texts. We kept each other updated on everything.
The babies have been making great progress. They're both healthy, strong and cute as ever.
Nathan and I were FaceTiming on our phones and I had the twins with me. Nathan was making funny sounds and noises at them. They made me giggle. The babies showed no emotion. They hadn't smiled since thy were born yet. But then Nathan made a certain face that made a huge difference.
Alexander smiled first and then Anna-Grace followed. My eyes widened and I moved quickly. I layed the babies down and let them continue to watch Nathan make the same face while I got my Polaroid. I snapped the picture got the perfect image of them smiling.
I situated myself and the twins again while the photo printed. I looked at the picture and smiled,
"Do you want to see babe?" I asked Nathan,
"Yes please." He said. I picked my phone up and turned the camera around. I watched Nathan's face light up as his eyes landed on the photo.
That went into the 11th page of the babies' scrapbook.
