Silly Me...I Forgot To Mention...I Cheated

Chapter One: Rebirth

Ami Pov

I get up early, as always, but I notice that (Y/N) is awake and ready before me. He's drawing on a piece of paper on the desk. As I approach him he put folds the paper and puts it away in his pocket sighing. I smack him on the back of the head.
Ami: "How are you up before me?"
(Y/N): "You didn't hear?"
Ami: "What?"
(Y/N): "Ozpin wants us in his office later."
I'm thrown off by this. How could a person like (Y/N) get this information before me, the team leader.
Ami: "How do you know this?"
(Y/N): "Well Ami, after serving two days of detention and not finding anything in the Emerald forest. I suggested to Ozpin that the strange activity had disappeared. Then yesterday, after serving my third day of detention, Ozpin tells me he found some activity coming from the Forever Fall forest."
I smack him across the face in anger. How dare he take that condescending tone with me. He looks back at me with an indifferent look and touches the spot where I slapped him.
(Y/N): "Did you have to hit me that hard..."
Ami: "Well I'm the leader so you do what I say and stop thinking your better."
I start to walk away so I can get dressed. I hear him stand up and walk to the door.
(Y/N): "By the way partner, I've known you were a wolf faunus the day I met you."
I freeze and turn to face him but I just see him walk out the door. How did he know...I-I hide my faunus features. Only Milly and Reilly know my secret.

TimeSkip

We report to Ozpin's office to get more details on our mission. (Y/N) is already there and he looks board but...his eyes tell a different story, his eyes are filled with excitement. Ozpin briefs us on our mission.
Ozpin: "I believe (Y/N) has briefed you on the details of the mission already Ami?"
Ami: "Just the basics."
Ozpin: "Well, thanks to (Y/N)'s voluntary work we confirmed that there was something in the Emerald forest but it has moved. Now we are picking up traces of it in Forever Fall. I don't know how it got there that quickly or what it is, but I do know that you should be careful when looking for it."
Reilly: "What do you want us to do when we find it?"
Ozpin: "If its hostile eliminate it, if not...we need to know exactly what it is."
ARM: "Understood."
Ozpin: "Alright the bullhead is prepped. Good luck and stay safe."

TimeSkip

Weiss: "I can't believe you have to go on a mission with him."
Nora: "Yeah, doesn't Ozpin let you leave him behind?"
Our friends team RWBY and JNPR were talking with us about the mission and why we have to bring (Y/N).
Ami: "For this mission Ozpin thought it would be best for (Y/N) to come since he kinda knows what we're looking for."
Blake: "Well, when you finish you can just leave him behind like you did that one time."
We all laugh, remembering how we saw him start panicking as we left him. I look over to (Y/N)...and I see him drawing on the page I saw him drawing in earlier. There is one thing I will admit about (Y/N), he can draw...really well. I should know cause Reilly stole his notebook to see if he had any dirty secrets in it. Reilly shared the book with the rest of our team but we just found some good drawings. I shake my head, annoyed that I was even giving him praise. We bid farewell to RWBY and JNPR and we board the bullhead. (Y/N) is nodding off while looking out the window as we take off. I look out the window to see Neo and CFVY waving at (Y/N). He doesn't wave back however, in the reflection of the window I see a sad expression.
Two hours later
We are all extremely board...Reilly starts picking on (Y/N).
Reilly: "Listen here. If you mess this mission up for us we will leave you behind and never come back for you alright."
(Y/N) doesn't respond but instead keeps his head down looking at his weapon. It was just a simple single-edged dagger. Reilly smiles and takes his weapon and looks it over.
Reilly: "I always wondered why the blade was in pristine condition. But I know why, it's cause you don't fight."
Reilly stabs the blade into (Y/N)'s seat. He glances over to the dagger but then looks out the window.
(Y/N): "We've arrived..."
The bullhead touches down and we all get off. I turn to (Y/N) with a stern look.
Ami: "Alright, what are we looking for exactly?"
(Y/N): "We're looking for some kind of creature. Presumably a large one at that."
Milly: "Thats it!?"
Reilly: "Let's just start looking for it. Being near him is bad for my health."
Reilly and Milly take off together leaving me with (Y/N). I immediately grab (Y/N) and push him against a tree. He winces in pain but I don't care.
Ami: "How did you know I was a wolf faunus?"
(Y/N): "I knew because one time you went into heat and tried to kiss some random guy."
I grow angry at this and start to punch him in the face. After about twelve punches I stop and let him fall to the ground. He barley manages to keep himself steady. I walk away from him pissed off.
Ten minutes later
There is nothing here. No tracks or anything, I start to get even angrier. I sigh and start to take my scroll out then I stop. The ground felt like it was shaking. I look all over and wait I then hear something charging towards me. Then I get shoved to the ground, hearing the sound of flesh tearing. I get my bearings and look up to see (Y/N) with a three pointed stinger through his chest. I look further to see a huge pink and blue deathstalker but...it doesn't have the mask. It unleashes a roar and throws (Y/N) off to the side. I don't know how to react so I do the one thing I can think of. Run. I run as fast as I can back to the bullhead. Milly and Reilly are sitting on the ground beside the bullhead. They get up when they see me. I push them in the bullhead and tell the pilot to get us out of here. The bullhead takes off and I look out the window to see if the creature had followed me, it didn't.
Reilly: "What the hell Ami! What has gotten into you?"
Milly: "We left (Y/N) behind at least."
Reilly: "Well thats good at least. Right Ami?"
I stop listening to them and just lie on the ground feeling defeated.

We arrive back to the academy and I go straight to Ozpin's office. I find him sitting at his desk drinking coffee while looking over some forms. He notices my presence and stands up with a smile on his face.
Ozpin: "How was the mission?"
I stay silent for a few moments as I watch the smile on his face turn into a frown.
Ozpin: "Did (Y/N) mess something up? I knew I shouldn't have sent him with you guys."
Ami: "Your right...if you didn't send him he would still be alive."
Ozpin: "What..."
Ami: "I found...the creature found me and started to charge me. (Y/N) pushed me out of the way and took the death blow for me...I panicked and ran. I didn't even try to recover the body."
I fall to my knees as Ozpin digests the news.
Ami: "What kind of leader am I? All I did was berate (Y/N) and helped bully him. Yet he still saved my life. He deserved to be leader and not me."
Ozpin: "Return to your dorm...and rest. I...need to think."
I don't respond I just get up and walk to the elevator. I just keep thinking of what I did before I wandered off. I felt drops of water hitting my clothes but I don't care. The elevator dings and I walk out. Team RWBY, JNPR, CDRL and SSSN try to talk to me but I push past them. I reach my dorm and enter, neither Reilly or Milly are in the room. I change into my pajamas and get into (Y/N)'s bed. Revealing my wolf tail and ears. I start to cry more and I whisper some very important words.
Ami: "I'm sorry...for everything."

3rd pov

In the Foreverfalls Forest it was quiet. A lone body was laying on the ground dead. The body was (Y/N)'s, the chest had three holes in it. The creature came back to the body and waited. Then out from the tree line, (Y/N) emerged with an intrigued look as he approached his own corpse. He crouched down and looked over the entire body.
(Y/N): "I still can't believe this worked!"
Wilfre: "What, were you surprised at what I said the book could do?"
(Y/N): "Well it is hard to believe. A book that can bring whatever is drawn in it to life? Sounds a bit far fetched."
Wilfre: "Well now that you've seen what a single page can do. Will you continue to work with me?"
(Y/N) continued to look at his own body and compared it to the drawing on the page. He smiled and stood up.
(Y/N): "Well I went through the trouble of faking my own death, might as well use it to get some revenge."
Wilfre: "Thats the spirit. Here you go."
Wilfre handed (Y/N) his new outfit, along with a mask. (Y/N) started putting on the uniform and the mask. He turned to Wilfre with his new outfit.
(Y/N): "How do I look?"

Wilfre: "Almost like I did when I took that identity."
(Y/N): "You've worn this before?"
Wilfre: "I have, but that is a story for another time. Let's get on to searching for the book."
(Y/N): "Alright, this book intrigues me. Cause if one page can be used make a living being imagine what an entire book could do."
Wilfre and (Y/N) set off in the forest followed by Wilfre's little pet.
