Chapter Two: Retrieval

3rd Pov

It has been one day since (Y/N) was KIA. Ozpin has been sitting in his office thinking over the situation on his hands. A cup of coffee is on his desk but it hasn't been touched. Glynda has a look of concern on her face. She would think he would be happier because (Y/N) didn't bother to show back up. Then the teams he requested for came into his office. The teams were RWBY, JNPR, SSSN, CFVY. Ami's team, team ARM_, came as well but Ami seemed miserable. Ozpin stood up and turned his attention to the teams.
Ozpin: "So I see you have all arrived like I requested."
Ruby: "Why did you call us all here?"
Ozpin looks over to Ami, who is still looking dejected over what happened. Ozpin takes a deep breath.
Ozpin: "We have discovered the creature and we are sending you all to kill it..."
Reilly: "Finally, some action."
Pyrrha: "Why do you need all of us to kill it?"
Ozpin: "Cause the creature isn't a grimm and it has proven to be hostile."
Some of the people exchange worried looks, including Glynda, Ozpin continues.
Ozpin: "There is also something I want you all to retrieve as well. This is a top priority."
Blake: "More important then eliminating the creature?"
Ozpin: "Yes, Ami will know what it is. Glynda you will go with them as well."
Glynda: "Alright..."
All the teams leave and Ozpin picks his coffee up and walks over to his window.
Ozpin: "I hope we can give you peace after all we've done (Y/N)..."

Three hours later...

The bullhead touched down in the Forever Fall forest and all the teams got out. Along with Neo who insisted on coming along.
Yang: "So Ami what are we looking for?"
Nora: "Lets just hope we don't run into (Y/N)."
Ami clenched her fists in frustration but didn't say anything back.
Ami: "It should be in this direction."
They all started walking in that direction.

Ten minutes later

They about reached the location where (Y/N) died. The group sees some birds picking at something. Ami runs to what the birds were picking at.
Ami: "Get out of here you buzzards!"
Nora: "Whats the big deal Ami?"
Neo walks over to Ami and a look of horror appears on her face.
Velvet: "Whats wrong-"
Velvet sees the body of (Y/N)...everyone walks over and sees it. None of them know how to react, especially his own team. The body pierced with three stingers, the clothes stained with blood, partially picked by the animals of the forest. The expression on the face was a peaceful one...as if he lived for a bit longer before drifting into an endless sleep.
Glynda: "How...how did this happen..."
Ami: "...The creature did this. (Y/N) gave his life to save mine even after everything I did to him..."
Neptune: "Well what do we do now?"
Weiss: "Well we have to retrieve the body...right?"
Milly: "Yes! Why wouldn't w-"
Joan: "What's that over there?"
Everyone looks to where Joan is pointing. They see some weird looking creatures walking through the forest.
Sun: "What are they?"
Ruby: "I don't know..."
Nora: "I want one! They look super cute!"

Blake: "Let's follow them and see what they are doing."
Reilly: "Wait! Someone should take...(Y/N) back to the bullhead."
SSSN: "We'll do it!"
Coco: "I swear if anything happens to the body! You'll all regret it."
Team SSSN nods nervously and start transporting the corpse back to the bullhead while everyone else starts following the fuzzy little things. Unaware that they were being watched by a cloaked figure.

Five minutes later

Coco: "What are they doing?"
Ren: "They appear to be looking for something..."
Nora: "One will be mine..."
Everyone just watches as the creatures attempt to lift various objects up and carry them away. Once they all leave again Glynda speaks up.
Glynda: "Lets follow them again. Maybe we'll see where-"
An ear piercing roar is released and the ground starts shaking. The creature emerges and appears angry. Ami draws her weapon and gives the creature a death glare.
Ami: "This is the creature that killed (Y/N)..."
Everyone looks at the creature and prepare for battle. Nora charges the beast and slams on its head with her hammer. But the impact throws her back leaving no damage on the creature. The only effect that was had was that it was even angrier.
Glynda: "I don't think we can do anything to it. We have to get out of here now!"
Everyone begrudgingly follows Glynda's orders and runs back to the bullhead. They leave and Glynda informs Ozpin to prepare a funeral. Ozpin tells her that one is already prepared.

Meanwhile

(Y/N) is lounging around in a clearing in the woods being board while waiting for the fuzzy little creatures to return. Then the creatures return with various objects. (Y/N) stands up and walks by each creature inspecting what they have to offer.
(Y/N): "Thats a rock...thats a branch...another rock. Thats your friend..."

(Y/N) stops by one of the creatures and looks at what they have. He smiles and takes the item and pets the creature on the head.
(Y/N): "You found it...thank you."
The creature seems to beam with pride and happiness as (Y/N) inspects the book to make sure its the right one. After a bit he thinks aloud.
(Y/N): "Hmm...perhaps Wilfre will be able to confirm if its the one. Come on bakis, hope I'm saying that right, lets reture to Wilfre."
A portal appears and they all go though it...along with Wilfre's pet
