Chapter Nine: Salem vs Salem

(Y/N) Pov

Why am I not surprised by the heavy weight on my...wait...Ruby and Neo are still pinning down my arms...then who. I open my and see Emerald...with my mask in her hands. I free my arm trapped by Neo and grab my mask back and put it on. I slip free of Ruby and pull Emerald out of the room. I look at her and she seems afraid.
(Y/N): "What do you want..."
She flinches at my voice.
Emerald: "I-I went to...uhhhh...the Emerald forest for...for you. I found what you were looking for."
Emerald hands me the gem and I put it in my pocket. I keep my gaze on Emerald.
(Y/N): "How did you get into my room?"
Emerald: "I-I picked the lock..."
(Y/N): "And why did you remove my mask?"
Emerald: "I-I-I just wanted to...see your face...how have you been (Y-"
(Y/N): "Don't say that name out here. It needs to be a secret."
Emerald: "Okay...now I'm gonna go."
(Y/N): "I would like to talk to you later understand."
Emerald: "Y-y-y-yes Salem sir..."
Emerald sprints away and I make my way to the throne room. I also send a baki to give a note to Cinder, telling her to go to the throne room.

Throne Room

I give Wilfre the third gem and start to walk near the grand door but Wilfre stops me.
Wilfre: "Wait, with these three gems I can make you stronger...and give your drawings more power."
I make my way back to the throne and wait to be told what to do.
Wilfre: "Kneel and bow your head. Do not move or else it will hurt and take longer."
I do as instructed and I hear Wilfre stand. Then an immense feeling washes over my entire body...it feels nice. I feel a new strength that must have been locked away inside me. Then the feeling dissipates. I look up and see Wilfre sitting back down onto his throne with a smile.
Wilfre: "Your drawings should be able to hold their own in battle. And you are a little stronger than before. This should make it easier to beat the queen of the grimm."
Cinder: "You really think you can beat her?"
I turn to see Cinder walking towards us, a frown on her face. I smile and cross my arms behind my back.
(Y/N): "Cinder...you appear to underestimate me. I already have a way to beat Salem."
Cinder: "Really, and how are you going to do that?"
(Y/N): "Simple actually! You know where Salem is, you know her allies and their faults, you know the layout of the place, Salem will underestimate me. And most importantly...Salem thinks you still work for her."
Cinder's face turns into one of shock.
Cinder: "When...when did you plan all this..."
(Y/N): "When I first found out you worked for a higher power. You'll notice you had no way of contacting Salem while you were here. I also didn't allow you to leave, as I couldn't risk you turning on me. But now I know how to counter you if you do turn on me...but that doesn't as the people who used to be loyal to you are now loyal to me."
Cinder: "I-I..."
Cinder kneels before me and Wilfre.
Cinder: "I think you can actually beat Salem now. And I would like to pledge my loyalty to your cause..."
(Y/N): "You may rise, for we have to pay a visit to Salem."
Cinder stands and nods, we then make our way out.

Evernight Castle

We stand outside the doors to the meeting hall. It was easy to get inside and everything is in place for an "ambush". I turn to Cinder to get one last bot of conformation.
(Y/ N): "They are still having their meeting right?"
Cinder: "Yes, they are."
(Y/N): "Well let's crash it."
I kick the simple wooden doors open and walk inside as everyone at the conference table stands up, Cinder told me who they all were, I see Salem seated at her throne...the gem is in her head.
(Y/N): "Well that makes things more difficult."
Arthur: "Excuse me but who are you?"
Tyrian: "Who cares who he is! At least there is finally some excitement around here!"
Salem: "Hold, who are you exactly?"
(Y/N): "Allow me to introduce myself. Salem, I am Salem. And I'm here to ask for you obedience."
Everyone in the room laughs...their mistake. I pull out a revolver and shoot Tyrian directly in the head, killing him instantly. This grabs everyone's attention. I put the gun down, but not away, and smile.
(Y/N): "Now will you take me seriously?"
Salem: "Kill him."
I see Hazel charge at me, I shoot the rest of the clip at him but that doesn't stop him. I leap out of the way and start to draw some men to help me. Five men appear out of thin air, all armed with handguns. They start to battle Hazel as I move on to Arthur. He tries to flee but one of the men I created put two rounds in his chest before getting killed by Hazel. I make my way to Salem who stands up, ready to fight however two more men break through the windows and subdue her. She kills them but not before I get to her and use my dagger to pry the gem out of her forehead. She screams out in pain and falls to the ground holding her head. In my hand was the fourth gem, but I wasn't done with Salem yet. I walk back over to her and put a collar around her neck. She looks up at me and tries to kill me but instead she receives an electric shock.
(Y/N): "Wouldn't it have been easier to just submit to me when you had the chance?"
I look over to see that Hazel killed all of my men but was greatly weakened. Cinder walked in and finished him off...a shame really. I pick Salem up and pull her close to my face.
(Y/N): "I'm the real Salem, bitch."
I see a portal open up and I escort Salem to it, Cinder follows along.

Wilfre's Throne Room

Wilfre: "Another gem in our grasp. You continue to please me Salem."
(Y/N): "You haven't give me a reason to disappoint."
I look over to the other Salem. The new gem I put in her head, a (f/c) one, just added to the fact that I owned her now. That she was powerless to stop me and that she had underestimated her opponent. I summon two shadow ghouls.
(Y/N): "Take her to the dungeon, I'll deal with her later."
They grab Salem and take her away. I turn my attention back to Wilfre.
(Y/N): "Now I have to get the gem from Raven and that will be five correct?"
Wilfre: "Yes. I don't know how many more there are, but it won't matter if we can't find the grip of the scepter. Anyway you are dismissed...in fact take a few days off. We are ahead of schedule anyway and I need more time to locate more gems."
(Y/N): "I'll take that break once I get the gem from Raven."
Wilfre nods and I take my leave. As I walk to my room Mercury approaches me.
Mercury: "You are a legend! You took down the most powerful being without even trying."
(Y/N): "Well I had to plan for a while before taking any action. It helped that I started early when I first found out Cinder had someone above her."
Mercury: "Anyway I gotta go. Just wanted to say your awesome!"
I chuckle at his antics I then arrive at my room and see Emerald standing outside, I approach.
Emerald: "So...Salem. I heard you took down-"
(Y/N): "Yes I did. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm tired."
I push past Emerald and enter my room. As soon as I enter I get tackled into two hugs. I look down to see a worried Ruby and Neo, but before they can do anything else I pick the both of them up and put them on my bed. I lay down and immediately feel them cling onto both my arms as I fall asleep.
