DECEMBER 3
Sasha's Point Of View
"This shit makes no sense to me at all," I looked at Lauren as she changed Raelynn's diaper. "Either her and Michael were fucking way before Paris or this is some weird miracle shit."
"That's what I'm saying," Lauren agreed. "I don't know of any sane mother that wouldn't want to rush to a hospital if she were in labor two months early."
"I may be wrong but I'm sure any baby born prematurely should be incubated since they're not fully developed."
"Those babies look fully developed to me, sis," Lauren shrugged.
Before I could say anything, Trevor came into the room. "What y'all in here gossiping about?"
"None of your business," Lauren rolled her eyes.
"Well, if it was about Michael, I'll be glad to let you know that he's downstairs right now."
"What's he doing here?" I huffed.
"Don't know, but he seems pretty upset."
Once Lauren was done cleaning Raelynn, we all went downstairs and found Michael sitting on the edge of the couch. It was clear to us that he was indeed upset.
"Michael, what's wrong?" I asked, taking a seat across from him.
"She's gone," he kept his head down. "She's gone."
"Who's gone?" Me, Lauren and Trevor collectively asked.
My heart was racing fast as worry shot through my whole body. My immediate thought was that Elise was dead, but Michael cleared that for us once he continued.
"Elise went back to the DR early this morning. She just left without saying anything at all."
Trevor, Lauren and I looked dumbfounded at what Michael just said.
"Wait, she left with the twins?" Lauren asked wide-eyed.
"No," he sighed, "she didn't take the twins."
For some reason, I breathed the biggest sigh of relief. I know Michael would probably lose himself if those twins were to ever be stripped away from him.
But why would Elise just leave her babies?
Things were beginning to look more fishy and confusing to me.
"How do you know she went back to the DR?" I frowned. "Do you know if she's safe? Why would she just leave her newborn babies?"
"Last night I mentioned co-parenting with her and I told her that I'd fight to make sure I got full custody of the kids if she ever tried taking them away from me but she said I didn't have to because she decided to give me full custody anyway. She said she couldn't live here in the states."
"Where are the twins now?" I asked.
"They're with my mother and Rebbie," he took his fedora off and placed it on the coffee table. "I mean, Elise told me last night that she'd be leaving today but I didn't think she'd just disappear without saying a proper goodbye."
"Bro," Trevor chuckled, "you're in your feelings cause she didn't say goodbye the way you wanted? You got your babies bro, that's all that matters."
"They need their mother too, Trevor," Lauren rolled her eyes. "Look, I'm sorry to say this, Michael but all this shit been a little too sus—"
