Chapter 85

They get back to the house and Jaidan goes to his room to see Levi and Celeste goes to her room and curls up on her bed. Jaidan walks into the room and Levi was awake and laying in between Jake and Vik. Jaidan goes over to Levi and Vik moves so that Jaidan could lay there. Jaidan carefully lays next to him and rubs his head softly. Levi smiles weakly at Jaidan, his eyes barely open and he says quietly, "Daddy.. I love you.. But.. Why did she hurt me..?" Jaidan's eyes start to water and he says, "It's okay now.. I promise.. I'll always protect you.." Levi tries to sit up but he winces and falls back. Jaidan says, "Hunny.. Just stay there. Do you need something?" Levi turns his head and looks at him and says, "I just want to get up.." Jaidan sighs and says, "Do you want to go somewhere? Is that why?" Levi shakes his head weakly and just says, "I just need to get up." Jaidan asks, "Why won't you tell me why? Is there something I don't know about that's going on?" Levi looks away and doesn't respond. Jaidan looks at Vik, confused. Vik smiles and shrugs and says, "I can't tell you without his permission." Jaidan looks back at Levi and says, "Can he tell me?" Levi says to Vik, "I don't want him to be mad at me.." Vik chuckles and says, "He's not going to get mad sweetie." Levi sighs and says, "I guess you can tell him.." Vik looks at Jaidan and says, "There's a special girl." Jaidan chuckles and looks back at Levi. He smiles a bit nervously and says, "Are you mad?" Jaidan smiles and says, "No sweetheart. What's her name?" Levi says, "Sophia." He holds up 5 fingers and says, "She's FIVE whole years old." Jaidan says,  "That's so cool buddy!" Levi says to Jaidan, "Can you call her mommy to see if she can come over?" Jaidan nods and calls her mother. He gets off the phone and picks Levi up and carries him to his own room. There was a knock at the door about an hour later.
