Chapter 112

About 7 in the morning, Emma wakes up and starts screaming. Levi jerks awake and looks at her angrily. Kye groans awake, yawning and rubbing his eyes awake. "Well, Good morning, Emma..." Emma looks at him and tries to get on top of his chest, stopping the screaming, grabbing the shirt and holding it in her mouth again. The shirt was pretty much soaked in saliva at this point. Kye sighs and grabs her, carefully setting her down beside him and looking at Levi. "Can you watch her for a second?" Levi still looked angry. "She woke me up." Emma giggles at Levi. Kye shrugs. "Yeah? I just need to go for a few minutes." Levi shakes his head. "I'm not watching her." He lays his head back down. Kye furrows his brow. "Why not?" Levi huffs. "Because I don't want to." Emma tries to get back on top of Kye. Kye looks confused, but just sighs and picks up Emma, and getting off the bed, leaving the room. Levi goes back to sleep. Emma smiles and starts hitting Kye softly, giggling. Kye groans, still tired. "Could you stop please, Emma?" He heads to the guest room where Jaidan was sleeping, and knocks on his door. Emma frowns but stops, laying her head on his chest. Jaidan comes to the door and answers it, staring at him, still half asleep. Kye smiles awkwardly. "Uh, Hiii..." Jaidan looks at Emma and then back at Kye. "What do you want?" Kye clicks his tongue. "I have some questions..." Jaidan sighs. "Alrighty. Go ahead." Emma looks at Jaidan and then looks up at Kye, wining. Kye shushes Emma. "Can I come in first?" Emma continues wining, starting to hit him again. Jaidan huffs and steps back to let them in. Kye grunts and grabs her hand carefully, holding it back as he stepped in, and then went over and sat on the bed. "Okay, so... how much do babies need to eat? In like, a day, Roughly?" Jaidan sighs and sits next to him. "It depends on the kid. Levi ate a lot. Try every few hours and just whenever she seems hungry. They also eat in the night sometimes." Jaidan starts to wake up more, looking at Emma and looking confused. "Where'd she come from?" Kye intakes a sharp breath. "Uh, she's your sister." Jaidan's eyes widen. "What?" Emma tries to start hitting Kye again. Kye grabs her hand again, looking at her. "Stop it, Please." He sighs and looks back at him. "She's Addison's, obviously, but she didn't want her, so.. I'm... taking care of her... for... some reason.." he looks confused. Emma doesn't stop, starting to wine louder and she keeps pointing at Jaidan like there was something wrong with him. Jaidan looks a little confused too and tilts his head at Kye. "Why would you do that..?" Kye mutters as he continued to try to stop her. "I have no idea..." he then notices that she was pointing at him and looks even more confused.  "Why are you pointing at him?" Emma starts to scream. Jaidan huffs. "Can you shut her up, please?" Kye frowns. "Emma, please. What's wrong?"
Emma screams louder and starts to squirm in his arms. Kye looks concerned, and looks up at Jaidan. "Hold on.." he gets up and takes her out of the room. As soon as they got out of the room she was fine, smiling at him. Kye furrows his brow. "What..." he shakes his head and goes back into the room. When they go back into the room she immediately starts screaming again but this time she starts crying, her head starting to hurt from all the screaming. Kye looks baffled, looking at Jaidan. "Uh, could you round up everyone? I think it's time we get a plan going on where we're going from here..." Jaidan sighs and nods, walking out of the room. Emma stops the screaming but continues to cry, laying her head back on Kye's chest. Kye rubs her back and sighs. "Do you just not like him...?" Emma nods a bit and puts a hand on her head. Jaidan was going to all the rooms and getting everyone, telling them to go to the living room. "He's going to be there when we talk in just a moment, Okay? But I can keep you away from him if you don't scream, Alright..? I'll protect you.." Kye said. Emma nods slightly, looking up at him and frowning, pointing to her head. Kye looks confused and looks at her head. She wines quietly. Kye sighs. "It'll be okay, b- um... Emma... it'll go away.." he heads to the living room, looking for where Jaidan was. Jaidan was leaning against the wall by the couch. Addison, Jake, Levi, and Vik were sitting on the couch. Karma was pacing back and forth by the couch. Emma looks at Jaidan, quickly turning her face away and curling up in Kye's arms, covering herself with the shirt so they couldn't see her. Jaidan looks at Kye. Kye bounces Emma a little, soothingly, and goes by Karma. Karma, just seeing that Kye was there starts talking. "Alright. We all need to decide where to search first. We have several worlds in question right now just due to accessibility, those being the Sea Kingdom and the Elf Kingdom. However, the Sea Kingdom is fairly small compared to the Elf Kingdom, so that would probably be where he would go to hide. Would anyone like to add or suggest any information?" Emma makes a small noise, shifting under the shirt, it falling out of her mouth and to the floor, her starting to cry, pointing at it. Jake sees her and raises an eyebrow. "Who's she?" Vik looks confused. Addison huffs, rolling her eyes. Karma raises an eyebrow at Kye as he slowly knelt down to grab the shirt and gave it back to Emma. "Uh... Emma, shes... Addison's.." Emma takes it, putting it back in her mouth but not covering herself with it. Addison looks at Jake. "I wanted to give her up for adoption but Kye wouldn't let me." Jake looks at her. "Why would you do that? She's adorable." Addison huffs, looking away. Jake sighs, looking back at Kye. "She's super cute." Kye looks away from Jake, making a noticeable effort to hug her closer to him in an act of protection, it clear that he didn't trust Jake. Karma clears his throat. "Right, but does anyone have anything they want to say pertaining to our mission?" Jake sighs, looking away. Jaidan looks at Karma. "I think what you got is pretty solid. But we should go to the sea kingdom first." Jaidan looks at Kye and smiles. Karma looks confused as to why. Kye meets Jaidan's gaze and smiles appreciatively. Emma tries to grab Kye's arm, attempting to bite it. Kye winces as she bites him. "Ow! Hey!" Emma let's go and starts to lick up the blood. Kye sighs, and Karma grumbles and glares for a moment at Kye. "Jaidan... why exactly do you propose this is what we do?" Jaidan sighs. "I just think we should. Alright?" Emma continues to lick it up, finishing after a minute, pointing to the kitchen as if telling him to get a paper towel, her smiling a little. Kye mutters a curse under his breath. "Will you excuse me for a minute?" Karma facepalmed, grumbling, and Kye went to the kitchen to grab the paper towel and position Emma. Karma huffs. "Alright. Fine. It'll take less time to search through anyway. Everyone grab everything you need, I will take care of the magic side of things seeing as our eldest is occupied, and we'll get going as soon as we can." Emma waits for him to pat her back, leaning her mouth over the paper towel. Jaidan nods. Jake sighs. "It's not like any of us brought anything.." Karma rolls his eyes. "Well. The people who live here, if you have anything, nows the time to get it. If not, here's what you'll need." He uses his magic to produce 8 transformation charms, and places them on the table. Kye pats her back. Emma burps, spitting up onto the paper towel, taking her head away from it when she was done and smiles at Kye. Jaidan, Levi, Addison, Jake, and Vik all grab one. Addison sighs. "I don't need anything.. I just want to find him.." Karma sighs and nods to Addison. "We all do." Jaidan goes to his room, changing his outfit and coming back. "I'm good now. Just needed some fresh clothes." Kye throws the paper towel away and smiles back at her, going over to the group and taking 2 of the charms, giving one to Emma, and Karma takes the last one. Emma puts the shirt back in her mouth, looking at the charm and then handing it back to Kye. Jaidan looks at Kye. "What are you going to wear?" Kye sighs and shakes his head, pressing it to her and whispering to her, "You need it.." he looks to Jaidan. "Huh? Wha'do you mean?" Emma looks at it again, putting it around her neck and smiling. Jaidan sighs. "A shirt? And doesn't she need clothes?" Emma looks at Jaidan and shakes her head, nuzzling Kye's chest. Kye smiles at Emma and then looks back at Jaidan. "Uh.. Well I don't really think either of us need anything.." Karma rolls his eyes. "Can we just go?" Emma looks at Karma, putting her arms out to try to get him to hold her. Jaidan sighs and shakes his head. Jake looks at Karma. "Sure." Karma scoffs at Emma and moves away from her. "Kye, can you please transport us, seeing how you know where the kingdom is?" Kye smiles awkwardly. "Yeah, of course..." Emma looks sad and looks back at Kye, starting to cry. Kye huffs. "Can you please just hold her, Karma...?" Karma looks exasperated. "FINE." He goes over and takes Emma, looking a bit nervous. Emma stops crying and giggles, looking at Karma's metal arms and rubbing one of her hands on them. Karma looks really uncomfortable. Kye, with Emma out of his arms for the first time since he got her sighs in relief, and starts the spell. Emma takes the shirt out of her mouth, holding it up to show Karma, smiling. Kye sighs. "Everyone ready?" Karma nods rapidly as he moved his face away from the shirt. Jaidan picks up Levi and goes over to Kye. Jake, Vik, and Addison also go over to him. Emma frowns, putting the shirt back in her mouth and looking over at Kye. Kye conducts the spell, holding both hands out, and then snapping, causing all 8 of them to be met with a flash of colour, a slight sick feeling in their stomach, and a slight ring in their ears before their vision returns, this time as they are in the water, the charms allowing their bodies to already have been transformed, and to be right outside of the kingdom, which looked extremely heavily guarded, a drastic difference from the last time it was visited. Emma looks at Kye, not liking being in the water without him and putting his arms out to him, wining. Karma, seeing this, eagerly hands Emma back, and Kye takes her. Emma grips onto Kye, still having the shirt in her mouth and laying her head on his chest, looking scared. Levi looks around and then looks at Jaidan. "This is so cool!" Jaidan smiles at him. Jake sees all the security and raises an eyebrow, looking at Kye. "It's pretty heavily armed now." Vik looks around too and smiles slightly. "This is pretty cool." Addison had her arms crossed and sighs. "Let's just look around." Kye frowns, looking anxious and holding Emma tightly. "I Uh... shouldn't be seen with you guys..." his eyes darted around at all the security, looking as if he wanted to run away. Jaidan covers for him. "Go ahead. Do what you need to do." Addison raises an eyebrow. "Why can't you be seen with us...?" Emma wines again, looking up at Kye. Kye sighs shakily "I just can't... you'll... figure it out when you get in the city..." He looks down at Emma and looks weary. "Can any of you hold her while you're in there...?" Karma looks suspicious of Kye. Addison speaks up. "You're the one who wanted to keep her. So you deal with her yourself." Jaidan was already holding Levi so he shakes his head. Vik sighs and shakes his head. Jake smiles. "I'll take her." Kye looks distraught, looking between all of them, and then to Jake, with a look of utter desperation. "You promise you won't hurt her...?" Jake rolls his eyes. "Sure." He didn't sound like he meant it though. Kye frowns when he sees this and swims over to him, looking angry, and holding Emma tightly close to him. "If you so much as hold her too tight, I will rip your brains out through your MOUTH, and FEED them to her as an APPETISER." Jake huffs and tries to take Emma. Emma tries to get away from both of them, trying to swim away. She's able to get away, and Kye looks confused and off-put. "Hey!" Emma swims a couple yards away and then stops, looking at them and shaking her head. Kye tilts his head and swims after her. Karma looked beyond annoyed, and looks to the others. "Let's get going." He swims towards the city. Jaidan, Addison, and Vik swim after him. Jake looks at Kye and huffs, turning and going with the others. Emma swims around until the others were gone and then stops again, letting Kye grab her. Kye frowns, taking her and staring after them, before gulping heading downwards and in the direction of a giant coral egg looking building. Karma looks around the city, immediately realising why Kye had been so hesitant, as there were about a million Wanted sheets with his face on them, strewn absolutely everywhere. Addison looks surprised. "What did he do?" Jaidan sighs. "He stole the crown.." Emma curls up in Kye's arms, sensing that he was nervous and kissing him on the cheek, smiling at him. Karma snags snags one of the wanted posters and reads through it, then looks at Jaidan. "You know who he murdered?" Kye smiles very slightly at Emma before diving into cover by the building, in a large sparkling silver bush, and watching the entrance of the egg building. Jaidan looks confused. "He murdered someone...?" Karma huffs and shrugs, gesturing to the poster which said said so. Emma nuzzles him softly, smiling brightly. Kye looks at her and whispers to her very quietly. "Stay here... be very very quiet... please... I'm going to be right back..." Addison raises an eyebrow. "I let him flirt with me and stay at my house. Yet he didn't tell me that he murdered someone. Great. That's fantastic. Hopefully he kills the baby." When she said this, she seemed very serious. Karma looks at Addison strangely. "Why do you hate your child so much?" Addison huffs. "Because she's a demon." Emma frowns and shakes her head a little bit. Karma glares at her. "Then maybe you should pick and choose your partners a bit better." Kye looks absolutely desperate. "Please... if you don't we both could die.." Addison looks away. "Mmf.." Emma looks a little scared, letting go of Kye and swimming off again but this time farther. Karma huffs. "You have yet to actually TELL who the father is. I'd like to know." Kye looks terrified as she does this, and simply takes his chances, darting away and into the egg building. Emma continues to swim around but then when she realizes that Kye wasn't coming for her, she stops out in the open and starts to cry softly. Addison pulls Karma to the side, whispering. "If I tell you... You HAVE to PROMISE that you won't tell ANYBODY... Can you do that...?" Karma sighs and nods. "Secrets kept with me don't see the light of day. You can trust me." Nobody regards Emma, several seeing her, but afraid of the security nobody comes to help. Meanwhile, Kye hid behind the coral walls, seeing several groups of children playing together and with adults. He scanned the area, until his eyes were set on one particular boy. Emma just stays there, waiting for Kye to come back. Addison swallows, looking away. "The father is Kye..." Karma's face goes pale, and he laughs nervously. "You're... You're joking..." If they weren't under water, Addison would clearly be crying. Karma gulps and takes a deep breath, whispering. "...um... You... You do know that um... that he's also your stepson...? R...right...?" Kye's eyes widen as he sees him. The boy had fluffy, flaming crimson hair, blonde ears and tail with white tips, his ears having tufts of white fur off the tops of them, and had a very fluffy tail. The boy also had a coat of glistening scales along his arms, back and parts of his chest, as well as the obvious fish tail, that accompanied his Kitsune tail. The scales and tail were a beautiful iridescent silver, that glittered different colours as he moved. The most important thing that Kye noticed however, was the boy's shining, fierce gold yellow eyes that shone with confidence and compassion.  Addison looks at him, her eyes widening. Karma takes a deep breath. "You didn't..." Kye sighs, and not knowing what to do but knowing he had to do it quick, he just swam into the crowd, grabbing the boy, covering his mouth and swimming as fast as he could put, seeing Emma and swimming to her, the boy struggling madly. Emma sees them and looks confused but relieved at the same time. Addison moves away from Karma, shaking her head and covering her mouth, in shock. Karma looks away, crossing his arms tightly. "This doesn't change the fact that the secret's safe with me." Kye scoops her up with his other hand and he held the boy awkwardly and sped out of the city to an area beyond it in a coral bay. He let go of the boy, and let Emma float on her own. Emma looks at the boy and then at Kye, looking really confused. Addison was still in shock. "W-What have I done...?" Karma sighs shakily and swims a bit away, back to the others, allowing her space. "I don't think we're going to find him here. There's too much security and paranoia filling the streets. I think we should move on." The boy tries to get away, but Kye grabs him by the shoulders. "Hey, Hey.. calm down..." the boy looked panicked. "W-Who are you?! Wha'do you want?!" Kye sighs. "Listen, I'm your father... I just want to take you home..." the boy stopped struggling, his eyes widening. "Y-You're... my..." the boy notices Kye's eyes, and he instantly believes it. A small smile grows on his face, but it quickly fades. "Wait. Why did you leave me?!" Kye frowns. "I couldn't get to you... I was imprisoned somewhere, I wanted everyday to be able to see you... please, you have to trust me, we need to get out of here.." the boy looked hesitant to believe him, but frowned, knowing he didn't have anywhere else to go. Emma swims up to Kye and tries to get him to pick her up. Addison stays where she was, hanging her head. Jaidan sighs and nods. Jake looks over at Addison and then back at Karma. "What's wrong with her?" Karma shakes his head quickly. "Nothing. She's just. Upset about Vincent. Where's Kye?" Kye picks her up and gulps. "I came here with a group. Come with me. Please. "The boy looked not quite convinced. "What's your name...?" Kye frowns, knowing he'd recognise it. "Kye Afton..." the boy backed up, looking scared. "No, you can't be my father! You- You're a traitor!" Kye sighs. "I'm not a merman..." the boy looked utterly confused. Kye continued. "And... neither are you.. fully, at least..." the boy shakes his head. "Wh- What are we Then?!" Kye sighs. "Demons." The boy's face looked shocked. "That explains..." Kye nods. "The extra tail? The ears? The magic? Yeah." The boy stares at the ground, and then looks back up at him, confidently. "I'll go with you." Kye looked relieved. The boy huffs. "My name's Zulier, by the way... Zul, for short." Kye smiles warmly, remembering that he had suggested that name to Queen Jessica. Jaidan shrugs. Jake looks suspicious. "No. Seriously. What's going on?" Emma starts playing with the shirt again, glancing at Zul and then back at the shirt. Karma snaps at him. "Nothing! Even if there WAS something, YOU wouldn't have the right to know!"  Kye gestures away. "Come on. I'll lead you there." Zul and Kye swim off, Kye holding Emma still. Emma yawns and lays her head against Kye's chest, closing her eyes and falling asleep. Jake looks a little hurt. "Geez... I was just asking..." Karma huffs and swims back to where they started. "Follow me!" Kye notices Karma, and swims towards him and the rest of the group. Addison sees that they were leaving and follows, staying a little ways behind them. Jaidan sees the boy with Kye and smiles. Vik looks confused. "Who's that? Why do random children keep popping up?" Kye smiles back at Jaidan, and then looks at Vik. "He's my son. His name is Zul." Zul smiles at him confidently, his golden eyes gleaming. Jake looks at Zul and then Kye, looking at their eyes, remembering that Emma had those same eyes. "Um.. I understand why you two have the same eyes.. But.. What about Emma...?" Addison freezes, looking over to Karma quickly. Kye looks down at Emma and shrugs. "Must be a coincidence. Maybe that's why she likes me." Karma glances at Addison and shakes his head quietly to tell her to stay calm and stay silent. Addison nods back at Karma, taking a deep breath. Vik believes this and nods. Jake looks at Karma. "You guys ready to go?" Karma nods, and Kye smiles at Zul, who smiles back. "Alright, Elf Kingdom?" Karma nods again. "That'll be our best next bet." Emma shifts in Kye's arms, staying asleep but she seemed to be trying to get sideways in his arms like she was carried when she was first born. Jaidan sighs and smiles a bit at Zul. "You're adorable."
Zul smiles at Jaidan. "Thanks!"
Kye lets her do this, and sighs, glancing at Jaidan, speaking quietly. "Can you hold her while I do the spell...? She's asleep, so she should be fine..." Jaidan hesitantly nods and carefully takes her. Addison was noticably staying close to Karma. Kye then closes his eyes, and once again puts both hands out, then snaps, all 9 people being blasted with a colourful array of light, and a twist in their stomach before their eyes adjusted, and they were met on a luscious greenery covered shore. The portal traveling had woken Emma up, her immediately starting to scream once she saw that Jaidan was holding her. Kye quickly takes Emma from Jaidan and hushes her. Zul stood there still, looking completely baffled. He was staring down at his legs, where he was covered in silver scales all the way up his legs and up just to his belly. Jake kneels down to Zul, chuckling. "It's completely normal kid. I promise." Emma quiets down once she's in Kye's arms, nuzzling him but also looking a little angry that he gave her to Jaidan after saying that he'd protect her. Kye growls at Jake, glaring at him, but then looking down to Emma and sighing, rolling his eyes. Zul looks at Jake, confused. "How do you know...?" Emma grabs Kye hand, laying it on her but the wet shirt was touching his hand. Jake smiles. "I can do it too, silly." Zul tilts his head. "You can?" Kye tries to pull his hand away, frowning. Karma huffs. "Alright, everyone! Find somewhere you'd like to set up, I'll supply you with a tent! Everyone group up for those who want to share!" Jake nods. "I could show you later if you'd like." He stands up and looks at Vik, walking over to him, signifying he wanted to share a tent with him. Jaidan looks at Levi and smiles, holding his hand. Addison sighs and looks at Karma. "Could I share with you...?" Emma doesn't let him, holding it close to her. Jake looks over at Kye and then back at Zul. "Sure..." Addison looks at Karma, not knowing what to do but then looking back at Kye again. "Could I talk to you for a second...?" Kye raises an eyebrow. "Sure.." Karma quickly goes off, using magic to create the tents for everyone else and get them all situated. He made a fire and lit it up so everyone could see better considering how late it had gotten. Addison walks a little ways from the group and looks at Kye. Jaidan was still semi-close to them. Kye bounces Emma a little. "What is it?" Addison looks at Emma, staring at her eyes and then looking back at Kye. "You know how she has the same eyes as you?" Kye furrows his brow. "Yeah?" Addison looks away slightly. "It's.. It's because you're her father..."
