Chapter 173

Karma stumbles with him. "W-Wait!! I- He'll be able to help more.."

Many hours after the doctors started the procedure, Kye is rolled Back into his room, with Emma on the bed with him. His head was stitched up, with tight wrappings keeping them secure and covered as a secondary measure. Anthony glances at karma. "No." He hands karma a knife, keeping a grip on his other hand. "I'm only bringing you because you're my dad and I trust you more." He starts quickly walking through streets, eventually teleporting them in front of a house. He growls loudly, pulling down his Hood. "You ready?" Jake quickly bolts over to the bed, still crying. He gets in it next to him and grabbing his hand, putting his other hand to his cheek and rubbing it softly with his thumb, squeezing his hand, crying harder as he stared at him. Karma huffs lightly. "N-No, I-I meant th-the other.. me... [I-I'm] not ready.." the doctor sighs. "Please be careful touching around his head. Once he wakes up you'll be given a document to tell you all the necessary procedures needed outside of the hospital, but for now just keep an eye on him. He should wake up soon, though it could be today, could be next week. We don't have an exact estimate." Jake sighs shakily, nodding a bit and just continuing to rub his cheek, glancing at the doctor. "O-Okay.. M-Mmf.. Is.. Is he.." he closes his eyes tightly. "Is he g-going to remember m-me..?" Anthony huffs a bit. "Fine. But it's going back on right after and if he doesn't cooperate, I'm slapping him." He uses his gun and rips it off, staring at him and holding the rosary tightly in his hand. "Aye. Look at me." Karma bristles, his visible eye's pupil going very dilated. He huffs, Squinting as his eye adjusted, and blinking rapidly. "Geez, where else would I be looking?" The doctor looked a bit concerned. "It is likely he will have some issues remembering things for a while, but nothing that substantial, and all the lost memory should be able to be recovered within the therapy." Anthony scoffs, grabbing him by the collar of his hoodie and pulling him closer and down a bit. "You will do as I say or I will make sure you don't get to come back out, do you understand me? You have no authority over me whatsoever. You're helping me kill the man in that house and then you're going back in. Got it?" Jake cries harder but stayed quiet, gripping his hand tighter. "H-He can't forget m-me.. I-I need him to r-remember.." Karma scoffs, looking annoyed by this. "Yeah, whatever.." the doctor shakes his head. "Regardless, he won't forget you entirely if he forgets anything about about you. It should be fine." Anthony nods, letting go of him. "Good." He gestures to the knife in his hand. "That's only if necessary. He's probably asleep now, so it should be an easy kill." He sighs, getting his gun ready. He walks around to the side of the house, finding an unlocked window and climbing in silently, not a single noise coming from him, nor did he cause any noises. He glances back to see if karma needed help getting in. Jake nods a bit, sighing shakily. "I-Is Emma going to F-Forget anything..?" Karma did not, easily slipping into silently. The doctor looked unsure. "Erm.. well, we've never had a case with something like her before, so... we don't know." Anthony was crying again and shaking, but remained silent. He sneaks around the house, getting to the bedroom, the door open. An older man, about 50, was laying in the bed asleep. Anthony stares at him, the memories of the emergency room filling his brain, squeezing the gun tightly and pointing it at the man from the doorway, aiming for his head, clutching karma's rosary in the other hand. He looked terrified, glancing at Karma, it clear he needed help doing this, giving him a pleading look. Jake sighs shakily, sniffling and nodding a bit. "A-Alright.." he lays down with Kye, keeping a grip on his hand and glancing at the doctor. "Wh-When he's awake can you take the intubation tubes out..? H-He can just wear normal o-oxygen tubes, R-Right..?"
Karma purses his lips, and puts his own hands against Anthony's, stabilising it, and allowing a more accurate shot. The doctor nods. "After we can be sure that he's stable." Jake sighs shakily, glancing at Kye. "M-Mmf.. W-We need to retrain him before H-He wakes up then.. H-He's had the intubation t-tubes before.. H-He's going to panic.." Anthony takes a deep breath, shooting, it going straight through his skull. Anthony drops the gun immediately, turning back around and frantically getting the rosary on Karma, not able to and just giving up. He wraps his arms around Karma as tight as he could, crying harshly into his chest and clutching his rosary in his hand still, shaking violently and hoping he'd just let him do this, needing the comfort. The doctor sighs and shakes his head. "He won't have full control over his body for a little while after he wakes up. He'll have time to calm down without the ability to do much." Karma groans, hating this. Anthony sighs shakily, keeping his face pressed into his chest as he managed to eventually get it on him, snapping it on and clutching onto him tightly, continuing to cry harshly. Jake sighs shakily, nodding a bit. "O-Okay.." he sniffles. "I-Is.. Is he going to b-be in pain...?" Karma's shoulders relax, and he sighs shakily as his visible eye's pupil goes back to normal. The doctor thinks for a moment on this. "Hopefully, no. We will be giving him pain medication through his IV once she starts to show signs of blossoming consciousness." Jake nods a bit. "Th-Thank you.." he looks up at Kye, whispering to him quietly, but the doctor could hear it. "I'm still here, baby.. I haven't left.. Not once.. I'm still here.." he squeezes his hand a bit, tears dripping from his eyes. Anthony glances up at him, crying harder, picking up his gun and shoving it in his pants, looking absolutely awful but forcing a weak smile onto his face. "H-Her killers d-dead.. H-He's g-gone.." The doctor sighs. "Call if you need anything else, or notice anything with him." They go to walk out. Karma sighs shakily, hugging him tightly. "You're so brave.." Anthony sighs shakily, holding onto him tightly, keeping the weak smile on his face. "D-Do.. Do y-you think she'd b-be proud of m-me...?" Jake sighs shakily, nodding a bit. He lays his head back down on Kye's shoulder, rubbing his chest and stomach as he couldn't touch his head. Karma nods. "I do, hun.. I sure am..." Kye's hand twitches very lightly. Jake stays in the same position he was in, continuing what he was doing, watching him closely for any other movement, knowing he'd need to call the doctor if there was any. Anthony looked happy with this, shutting the bedroom door and holding onto karma tightly, teleporting them back outside his apartment where Max was already waiting outside with his backpack. Anthony glares a bit at Max for being outside but just ignores it, seeing as he was fine. He looks up at Karma. "Wh-Where do we G-Go..?" Alas, there was not. Karma smiles a little. "Home.." Anthony smiles back a bit more, hugging him tightly again, nuzzling his chest softly. "O-Okay.. T-Take us th-there.." he takes his backpack from Max, putting it on. Max comes over, wrapping his arm around karma's waist. Jake sighs shakily, laying his head back down. Karma smiles more, and teleports them in front of a new house, a quaint, small one, with plants absolutely everywhere, flowers and berry bushes all throughout the front yard, and decretory vines running cleanly across the red bricks of the walls, trimmed so it didn't look overgrown, but just nice. It was quite a long time, hours, before Kye's hand twitched again. Anthony wipes his eyes with his hoodie sleeve, staring at the house in awe and looking up at karma. "We.. We get to live here..?" He looked extremely excited. Max wraps his arms around Karma from behind, kissing his cheek softly. Jake had stayed awake the entire time, quickly examining and watching him closely. Karma smiles more. "Mmhm.." he felt warm with happiness. Kye's hand twitches again, this time slower, as if it were an actual movement, not a random reflex, and didn't twitch back to how it was. Jake quickly presses the button for the doctor repeatedly, sitting up and watching him closely, hoping that if he spoke to him, it might help him. "Kye.. It's me.. Jake.. I'm right here with you.. Don't be afraid.. I'm right here.. I've been right here with you.. You're safe now.." Anthony hugs him tightly and kisses his cheek. "I love you, dad!!" Max smiles happily, heading over to the front door and glancing at Karma to see if he had a key. Kye's head tilts very very slightly, about a centimetre, to the left. The doctor comes in swiftly, immediately going over. Karma's heart fluttered in his chest, a warm calm flooding him. He grabs his key from his pocket, and opens the dark wooden coloured door to the interior, where the walls were an elegant cream, with warm reds painted onto certain sections with swirling patterns. The rest of the walls that were empty underneath were covered with hung up paintings, or hanging plants with flowers or not. The ceiling was a dark brown like the door, also wood, and the floor was too, wood panelling this colour. As they walked in, there was a small hall, that opened up on the right and the left, the left having the kitchen, and the right a living area, with a maroon, velvet couch against the north most wall under a large painting and two plants on either side of it, a small end table to the left of it with a plant on it, and a small end table to the right of it with a lamp. On the right wall there was a fireplace, on top of it housing several books, and more plants. On the south most wall was a small standing table that housed a TV on it, and more plants. In between these two, was a dark brown wood table, and under it, a maroon circular carpet. There was a window to the right and left of the fireplace, shielded by dark gray curtains. Directly in front past the large open section leading to the kitchen and the living area was another hallway, with 2 doors on the right, and 1 door on the left. Anthony looked amazed, it clear he had not expected this. He looked beyond excited and happy. He turns to face Karma, looking up at him and hugging him as tight as he possibly could. "Thank you.. Thank you so, so much.." Max looked happy as well, smiling softly and looking around. "It's beautiful.." Jake sighs shakily. "He's waking up.." He squeezes Kye's hand a bit. "Can you squeeze my hand, baby..?" Karma chuckles lightly, glad they liked it, and hugs Anthony back. The doctor sighs, watching intently. Kye squeezes Jake's hand weakly, bur it was much less faint than it had been. Jake looked hopeful, squeezing his hand back. "Squeeze again if you recognize and remember me, baby.. It's Jake.. Your fiancé.." Anthony nuzzles him. Max had noticed all the plants and looked a bit confused, looking to karma and gesturing to one of them. "Um.. How do you uh.. How do you provide for those plants exactly..?" Kye squeezes again, as suggested. Karma tilts his head. "Hm? Wha'do you mean?" Max let's out a long sigh. "Uh.. Starts with a W and ends with a R.." Anthony had walked to look at the doors, checking the first one. Jake looked even more hopeful. "You're doing great, baby.. Emma's right here too.." he scoops up Emma and lays her in between them, her being semi-conscious at the moment. "You're going to be okay.. Both of you are.. You're doing amazing.. I love you so, so much.." The door led to a small bathroom, with yet another group of plants, and another circular maroon carpet on the floor, with, even though Karma didn't use it, nicely designed red and black shower curtains. Karma still didn't get it. "What?" He laughs awkwardly. The doctor watched, nodding at Jake's words, and grabbing a clipboard, scribbling down a few things about him with the movements, along with another scribble bit as Kye let out very quiet groan. Max sighs, spelling it out, not wanting to say it and upset him. "W-A-T-E-R." Anthony giggles a bit, looking extremely excited, leaving the bathroom and shutting the door behind him, going to the second of the 3 doors. Jake smiles weakly at him, squeezing his hand once again, very very carefully moving Kye's head so they were looking at each other if Kye was able to. "I'm right here.. I know you can't talk yet.. You will eventually.. I'm right here though.. You're okay.." it was clear he was just trying to reassure Kye. Karma frowns deeply as he understands it after a moment of thinking about it, freezing, though he really did try to keep himself calm, but he was simply unable to. This room was a guest room, with a warm blue toned colour scheme compared to the red everywhere else. It had a fluffy white carpet in front of a navy blue and white bed on the Northern most wall under a blue painting, 2 white end tables on either side of it, one with a plant, the other a lamp, a dresser opposite the bed on the southern wall, with a tv on top of it, a white desk on the eastern wall with a plant and a desk lamp on it, and a selection of wall decor on the western wall. All the walls had the same cream, but with blue detailing in the painted portions, and the floor was a white wood. Kye's eyes were not yet open, but they were slitted just barely.Max quickly moves over to him, pushing him up against a wall having to lean down a bit to reach him but pushing him into a passionate kiss, smiling against his lips, clearly just trying to get his mind off it. Anthony giggles, figuring this would probably be his room. He goes to the last door and opens it. Jake sighs shakily, rubbing his cheek softly. "I'm here when you're ready, baby.. Take your time.." The doctor looks to Jake. "When he does wake up fully, try not to overwhelm him. He will be rather lightheaded and might not understand what's going on." Karma tenses, his eyes wide. He was shocked by this, but he lets it happen, shaking harshly but grabbing onto him. The room was larger than the guest, but not by too much. The bed was again against the walls in the corner between the northern and western walls, the headboard to the northern wall, with red and black sheets and covers and white pillows, a single black side table to its right with a lamp on it, and a black desk next to it off to the side with a few plants on it, and a desktop. in the corner of the northern and eastern wall there was a very large plant, and a painting on the eastern wall next to it between the plant and the door. At the end of the bed there was an openable case, and further down on the southern wall was a flat screen tv, with a desk below it holding several video game consoles, and a few controllers as well. To the left of that were two large doors that led into a walk in closet, where, at the end, was a holder for a large scythe on the wall. The walls of the room were painted black, the floor the same dark brown, and the ceiling also dark brown. There was another maroon carpet in the center of the room, where a few books were scattered. Max notices this and sighs, pulling back a bit but staying close, rubbing his back soothingly. "There's no need to be afraid, baby.. I'm right here.. I'll always be by your side.." he nuzzles him softly. "You're so beautiful.." Jake nods a bit. "A-Alright.." he looks back to Kye, smiling softly at him. "You're so beautiful, baby.. I'm right here.." His eyes were filled with hope, not knowing how much Kye forgot about him, but knowing that he still at least partially Remembered him, this being enough. "Zarrons here as well with Levi, Zul, and Celeste.. And Jordan's here.. We're all here for you, baby.." Anthony giggles more, clearly enjoying everything. He goes over to the bed and sits on it, figuring karma wouldn't care. He lays back on the bed, letting out a long sigh and staring up at the ceiling, relaxing his body, it being the first time he could do this in a very long time. Karma sighs shakily, gripping onto him very lightly. Kye's head shifts a little more, and one eye twitches, though staying closed. Max nuzzles him. "Wanna go see how Anthony's doing, sweetheart? And you can show me where our room is." He giggles a bit, holding him in his arms tightly to make sure he knew it was okay. Jake just watched him closely, glancing at the doctor, but quickly looking back to him. "It's Jake, baby.. I love you.. I love you so much.." tears start to drip from his eyes once again, it now becoming clear how exhausted he actually was from the crying and not being able to sleep. Karma nods, gulping. Kye's eyes flicker open very slightly. Max holds his hand, looking for Anthony and seeing him laying on the bed. Anthony had set his bag to the side and was curled up on the bed in the bedroom he assumed to be karma's. He looks over to them, smiling and sitting up. "Hey.." Max nuzzles karma and goes over to the bed, sitting on the edge. "Hey." Jake sighs shakily, cupping his cheek in his hand. "Hey, baby.." he glances at the doctor. "Can you take the tubes out now..?" Karma smiles a little, doing the same. "You really like it here, don't you..?" The doctor shakes his head. "He needs to be watched a bit longer before we can do that." Jake sighs shakily, nodding a bit and continuing to rub Kye's cheek with one hand and hold his hand tightly with the other. "O-Okay.. P-Please.. Take it off a-as soon as possible.." Anthony giggles a bit, nodding rapidly and moving over to him, nuzzling him softly and sitting in his lap and looking up at him with pure joy in his eyes. "Mmhm!! It's beautiful!! I love it t!!" Max smiles happily, watching them with happy, hopeful eyes. The doctor nods, continuing to watch as Kye blinked very slowly, opening his eyes back to their slight state. He seeming to be staring at Jake. Karma smiles warmly. "I'm glad.." Jake notices this and laughs a bit weakly. "Sorry, I look like a piece of shit right now.." he smiles weakly at him. "You still look beautiful as always.." Anthony giggles. "Where do I sleep??" Max looks around the bedroom as he already knew it was his and karma's. Kye squeezes his hand tighter. Karma gestures to the guest room down the hall. "That's the guest room, we can shop for some things to tailor it to you if you want, later." Anthony's eyes light up. "R-Really?!" He looked amazed, for both the fact that he had a bed, and for the fact that Karma was going to buy him stuff for his own room. Max giggles a bit, going over to the bed again and sitting down, leaning over and kissing karma's cheek softly, falling back against the bed. Jake squeezes back, glancing at the doctor. "He's squeezing my hand.." he laughs a bit again, it clear he was just happy to see Kye awake. "You're so amazing, Kye Ralzinglau Afton.." Karma laughs, nodding. "Of course." The doctor kept a keen eye on him. "I'll be sending someone to get you what he needs." Jake nods a bit, leaning down and kissing Kye softly on the lips, looking back to the doctor. "Do you have an estimate on when he'll be able to go home..?" Anthony hugs him tightly, giggling happily. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" Max chuckles a bit, looking to karma. "We can go shopping whenever y'all want to." Anthony nuzzles Karma, just hugging him as tight as he could, clearly very very happy with them, knowing that he'd be safe and loved here, that being enough. The doctor thinks. "Well, once he's able to move he'll be able to walk and everything, but honestly the longer he is here the better. If that's not something you'd be keen to, we can always have someone sent with him to keep him on schedule until it becomes habitual, or until it's not needed anymore." Karma gave him a loving look, very happy. Jake sighs shakily. "I-Imwant him home..." he glances at Kye, moving his hand from Kye's for a moment and moving them up to his ears, very carefully covering them, being sure not to hurt him, lowering his voice quite a bit. "Do you um.. Do you think you'd be able to get him on something for uh.." he glances at Kye. "His depression..? He's struggling quite a bit with it and I just want him to be happier.." Emma's head shifts a bit. Anthony nuzzles him, looking up at him. "U-Um.. Can we also get food..? I'm starving.. We can go shopping afterwards!" Max smiles at them, shifting a bit and laying his head on Karma's thigh, looking up at him, his hair a mess at the moment as well as Anthony's as they both hadn't brushed their hair in quite a while. The doctor sighs, nodding. "I'll add it to his notes." He scribbles some things down. Karma hugs Max to his side. "Sure, hun."Max nuzzles his thigh, sitting up and glancing around the room. "Where's your brush, babe?" Anthony giggles a bit, trying to run his fingers through karma's hair. "Is your hair knotty, too? Mine sure is." Jake nods a bit, taking his hands off his ears and moving his hand back to Kye's hand, glancing back to the doctor. "H-How long until he can talk A-Again..? I-I know after the tubes are taken out.. B-But.. H-How long is that..?" Karma chuckles. "I'm fine.. it's in there." He points to a drawer in one of the end tables. The doctor thinks. "Should be not too long."Max nods, grabbing the brush and brushing his hair out quickly, moving over to Anthony. He sits behind him and carefully brushes out his hair, smiling at him. Anthony smiles, getting up once he was done, instinctively going to put his Hood up, but quickly stopping himself. He sighs, taking off his hoodie and setting it down with his stuff, examining his arms, then being extremely skinny and he lets out a long sigh, wanting to get more comfortable with himself. He goes over to Karma, grabbing his hand and holding it tightly, sighing shakily. "I-I can't hide in the hoodie forever.." He kept glancing at his arms, looking extremely nervous about it. Max sighs, going over to them, glancing at his own hoodie, but shaking his head a bit, just wrapping his arm around karma's waist. Jake nods, sniffling, laying his head back down on Kye's shoulder, whispering to him. "You still there, baby..?" Karma puts a hand against Anthony's cheek. "I know how it feels.." The doctor leaves to get everything situated. Kye groans quietly again. Jake smiles at this. "Good job, baby.. Just stay with me.." Anthony nods, smiling a bit and looking up at him with confident eyes. "I'll be okay. I'm strong and I've got you by my side in case I get upset. I know you'll keep me safe." He smiles more. Max smiles brightly at them, heading out of the house,.not actually knowing where they were or where they were supposed to go. Anthony kept a very tight grip on Karma's hand, letting out a long sigh.  Karma follows Max, heading somewhere he knew, eventually coming into the lead. The doctor comes back a few minutes later with a packet of papers. Anthony keeps a grip on Karma's hand, looking extremely nervous, glancing up at karma. "What if someone says something..?" Max sighs, going over to Anthony's other side and grabbing his hand, rubbing the back of it softly with his thumb, trying to comfort him, still trying to get used to having a child of his age. Jake was smiling a bit and looks over to the doctor. Karma shakes his head. "Nobody will." The doctor hands him the packet. "That has a copy of his needed routine, his prescriptions, and any other details needed. Anthony sighs shakily and nods, gripping both of their hands tightly and heading into the mall, looking around for a place that served demon friendly food, eventually finding one and pointing to it. "Can we go there, first?" Max had been glancing around for stores that might interest Anthony, noting them in his brain, chuckling a bit to himself as he saw a certain store, rolling his eyes at it and quickly looking back to them. Jake smiles and nods. "Thank you very much.." he takes it. Karma nods. "Sure!" The doctor nods. Anthony nods, walking quicker towards it and then going in and over to the counter, glancing at Karma and Max, not wanting to order himself and just whispering to Karma. "Can you just get me something that I can eat, please..?" Max orders his own food, getting a weird look from the cashier as he ordered demon food. Jake sighs. "Could we get a male for the person that comes home with him? Just for. The sake of Kye." The doctor nods. "Of course." Karma nods to Anthony, ordering his and Anthony's food. The cashier nods and gives them the price, Max paying it quickly. Anthony stays hugged up to Karma's side, smiling a bit. Max gets their food when it comes out and takes it to a table, Anthony quickly following while pulling karma along. He sits down quickly, grabbing his food and starting to eat, it clear he was quite hungry. Max smiles at this, just glad he was eating. He sits across from Anthony, gesturing for karma to sit next to Anthony, setting up both of their foods. Anthony glances at karma. "Thank you so much.. I'm starving.." Jake nods back. "Thank you." He rubs Kye's cheek. "He seems like he's doing good, right..?" He glances at Kye. Karma smiles brightly, sitting next to Anthony and also starting to eat. The doctor nods. "No bad reactions, seems to be coming back to function, which is good. I'll have someone else in here to take out the tubes." He leaves. Kye kept his eyes on Jake, which were a bit more open now, the sharp golden glow of them glittering in the reflectant sunlight. Max starts to eat as well, looking to Anthony. "I saw a couple stores that I thought might interest you. But, To start. What kind of clothes do you want?" Anthony thinks, having finished eating quickly. "Um.. I like jeans and sweatpants.. I also like blue and red!" Max chuckles a bit, nodding. "Your father loves red." Anthony smiles brightly, nuzzling Karma's shoulder softly. "Cool!" Max sighs lightly, thinking. "Hm.. We can look around and you can point out what you want. But there's two rules, okay?" Anthony nods. "Alright! What are they??" Max chuckles a bit. "Don't look at price. And nothing too revealing. Got it?" Anthony giggles wildly, nodding, mostly at the second part. "Alright, alright." Jake smiles at him, leaning down and kissing his nose softly. "I'll kiss you on the lips as soon as the tubes are out, baby.. Just wait a few minutes.." he nuzzles him, still holding his hand tightly. Karma chuckles awkwardly. He was really enjoying this. He felt like they were a proper family, which only made him happier. Kye keeps his eyes on him, squeezing his hand harder. A few minutes later, another doctor comes in. Jake kept his smile, glancing at the doctor, squeezing Kye's hand back. "They're just gunna take the tubes out and hook you up to oxygen, baby.. I don't know if you can yet but don't bite it, okay..?" Once they all finished eating, Max throws away their trash. Anthony stands up, quickly grabbing onto Karma's hand and looking to Max. Max smiles and heads to a store nearby. Anthony's eyes widen as he sees a tye-dye shirt with darker colors. He points to it quickly, looking up at karma.
Kye nods his head very slightly, and the doctor goes over, Kye staying very calm as they got everything out, and then hooked him up to the regular oxygen. Kye stares blankly at the ceiling once they finished. Karma chuckling. "You want that?" Anthony nods rapidly. Max chuckles, grabbing the one that would fit Anthony. Anthony picks out several pairs of jeans and sweatpants as well as a few more shirts, Max carrying them all. Anthony then grabs a pair of shoes, clearly loving them and looking to Max for approval. Max nods, smiling back. Anthony giggles a bit, holding onto karma still. Max brings the items to the register, the cashier ringing everything up. "Your total is $245.35." Max nods, pulling out the necessary money and paying for it quickly, grabbing the bags. Max looks to karma. "Decorations next?" Anthony looks up at Karma. Jake smiles brightly, leaning down over him and pressing his lips against his, keeping his eyes open and watching him closely, pulling back very slightly, breathing warmly against him. "Can you talk, baby...?" Karma nods, looking to Anthony and smiling more. Kye keeps his eyes on him, searching Jake's as he sighed shakily, his mouth parted very slightly, and he seemed to be trying at least, but to no avail. Anthony giggles. Max nods, taking them to a store nearby and going in, gesturing around. "Go crazy, hun." Anthony smiles brightly, looking around, grabbing several things, bringing them to Max but then seeing a section with different bands, his eyes widening and he quickly goes to the posters, finding a panic at the Disco one and grabbing one. "That's all!" He gives it to Max. Max nods, buying everything, the bill being quite expensive but he pays it quickly, grabbing the bags as well. He looks to karma. "Can you think of anything else?" Anthony looked overwhelmed at the moment, filled with joy. Jake keeps his smiles, nodding. "That's okay, baby.. It's not a problem.." he sighs lightly. "Let's do a thing here.." he grabs Kye's metal hand with his other hand, which happened to be his metal one. "I'm going to ask you some questions.. If the answer is yes.. Squeeze with your metal hand.. If it's .. Squeeze with your real hand.. Can you do that for me, baby..?" Karma thinks, and looks to Anthony. "Do you like video games?" Kye squeezes his hand. Jake nods. "Do you love me..?" Anthony nods. "Yeah!" Anthony looks extremely surprised. "R-Really..? That's.." he laughs nervously. "That's really expensive.." Jake smiles and nods. "Good.. Do you remember what happened to you..?" He frowned.a bit at this, knowing if he did, that he'd have to wait til he could talk to say. Karma shrugs. "That's okay. I have a couple in my room, we can get you your own for yours." Kye took a long time for this. He seemed to be thinking hard, and after a while, gently squeezes his real hand, before quickly switching and squeezing his metal firmer. Anthony smiles more. "Alright.. Thanks, dad.." Max smiles, heading to a store. "What console do you want, hunny?" Anthony tilts his head. "PS4, maybe?" Max nods, glancing at Karma as he grabbed a box with one, gesturing for Anthony to look at the games, whispering to Karma. "I need help buying the console, babe. I can get the games." Jake lets out a long sigh, nodding, glancing at Emma. "Can you communicate with Emma..?" Emma was staring at Kye with scared eyes, she had been the entire time. Karma tilts his head, not quite understanding. "Wha'do you mean?" Kye thinks about this more, seeming confused, and not answering. Jake frowns more. "Do you remember Emma..?" Max sighs. "I don't have any more money on me. I used it on the clothes, food, and other things. I have enough for a few games for him though." He looked a bit guilty for some reason, feeling he wasn't providing enough for them. Kye did another confused squeeze, switching from both hands. It was likely this meant he didn't remember everything. Karma nods. "Oh, okay.." He did still seem confused about his guilt. Jake frowns deeper. "O-Oh.." he glances at Emma, it clear this made him upset. He looks over towards Zarrons bed, hoping that he was awake, needing him to get Levi and Zul up. "Aye.." Levi was laying on one side of Zarron with Zul wrapped tightly in his arms and Celeste was happily playing on the computer, having been fine just sitting there with everyone. Max sighs. "Thank you, baby." Anthony comes over with several games, most of them being shooting games, a couple being apocalypse games. "Got some!" Max smiles at him. "Cool, hun!" He heads over to the register, giving the amount for the games and then looking to karma for the console. Anthony takes the bags from everything else they had bought from Max, not wanting to make him carry everything. Zarron groans quietly, his eyes flickering open. "Mmyea..?" Karma gets his wallet from his pocket, and pays the remaining needed for the console. Jake sighs shakily. "Kye's awake.. Can you get Levi and Zul up..?" H-He.. I don't think he really remembers Emma.." Max carries the rest of what Anthony couldn't, smiling. Anthony looked extremely excited. "Hang on, hang on. I need to get my magic stronger again. I'm gunna teleport us back." He moves over to them and closes his eyes, it taking several moments but he managed to teleport them and the bags back to the house and into Karma's room, but looked like he was about to pass out afterwards, quickly setting the bags he had down. Max frowns a bit at this, quickly setting what he had down and moving over to him, scooping him up. "Hey, hey.. Careful, sweetheart.." he rubs his head softly. "We'll get your magic back.. We'll start out with small things though.. Not that, okay..?" Anthony smiles weakly. "B-But I did it.." Max chuckles, nodding. "Yes, yes you did." Anthony looked proud of himself despite the fact he was now extremely tired. Max nuzzles him, glancing at karma. "Let's get you in your bed and your father and I will start setting up your game console and stuff, alright?" Anthony shakes his head a bit but quickly. "N-No!! I um.. ..I wanna sleep with you guys tonight.." he looked nervous. Max sighs, looking to karma to see if this was okay with him. Zarron looked momentarily confused, before he groans as he stretched, and nudges Levi and Zul to try to wake them up. Karma looked very worried about this, but sighs. "Alright.." Anthony sighs shakily, nuzzling Max softly. Max carefully lays Anthony in the middle of the bed, moving all the bags to the corner of the room. He takes off his hoodie and shirt, leaving his jeans on. He climbs into the bed, cuddling up to Anthony. Anthony looks to Karma, shaking a bit and it was clear he was scared, but it wasn't clear exactly why, but it didn't seem to be because of them. Levi yawns, looking up at Zarron and then over to Jake. "Mm?" Jake sighs. "Can you and Zul come over here, sweetheart?" Levi nods a bit, getting off the bed and picking Zul up, rubbing his head. "Hey, buddy.. Wake up.." Karma furrows his brow, cuddling close as well. "What's wrong..?" Zul yawns as he wakes up, stretching and mewing, his eyes opening slightly, and he smiles at Levi softly. Levi kisses him softly, carrying him over to Kye's bed, getting on it and keeping Zul in his arms. Jake sighs shakily, carefully moving them closer to Kye, looking down at Kye. "Do you remember Levi and Zul, baby..?" Anthony gulps. "N-Nightmares.. Th-They.. They're scary.. I-I'm scared, dad.." he turns so he was snuggled up to karma's chest, starting to cry, crying quietly into his chest. Max frowns deeply, feeling extremely bad and wrapping his arms around both of them. Kye's eyes flicker to look at them, and he stares for quite a long time, before weakly squeezing his real hand. Karma sighs. "Oh.." he holds him close. "Don't worry, hun.." Jake sighs shakily, looking to Zul and Levi. "Mmf.. Try talking to him.." Levi looked scared, but nods a bit, looking to Kye. "H-Hi, daddy.. A-Are you.. Are you okay..?" He clutches into Zul tightly, clearly terrified. Anthony continues to cry, shaking harshly and just holding onto him, knowing he'd be okay with them. Max sighs shakily, hugging them both tightly in his arms, knowing how he felt. Anthony looks up at Karma, moving the hair away from his other eye so he could see them both, his bottom lip quivering. "I-I'm s-safe H-H-Here, R-Right...?" Kye's eyes soften, before he turns his head away. Zul frowns deeply. "Why'd you do that..?" Kye looks back to them with his eyes, looking saddened, and almost guilty. Zul looks worried.  Karma sighs, his other eye squinting, uncomfortable from the light. "Of course you are.." Levi bursts into tears, shaking and glancing over at Zarron desperately, it clear seeing Kye like this upset him greatly. Jake sighs shakily, glancing at Kye and then looking to Levi, carefully removing him from Zul. He bounces him softly, taking him back over to Zarron and laying him on top of him, muttering. "Please try to calm him down.." He quickly goes back over to Kye, grabbing his hands again, sighing shakily. "I'm sorry, baby.. Levi's just.. Overwhelmed.." Max quickly gets up and turns off the light for karma, coming back and cuddling up to them. Anthony cries harshly into his chest, nodding a bit and just holding onto him tightly. "I-I love Y-Y-You so m-much, d-dad.. D-Don't let G-Go of me.." He presses his face into his chest, pressing his body up against him. Max hugs them as tight as he could. Kye was frowning deeply. Zarron frowns, holding Levi close. "Hey, it's okay buddy.." Karma rubs his back softly. "I won't, hun.." Levi cries harshly. "D-Daddy's sick.. H-He won't talk t-to m-me.." Jake sighs shakily, rubbing the back of both of his hands with his thumbs. "Zul and I are still here, baby.. Don't worry.. I won't leave you.." Max sighs shakily, just keeps them in his arms. Anthony sighs shakily, taking deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. After several minutes, he manages to stabilize his breathing and shaking. He opens his eyes and looks up at Karma, keeping the hair out of his face. "M-Mmf.." he sniffles. "Y-Your eyes are really p-pretty.." He was clearly trying to take his mind off of everything that upset him. Zarron sighs. "He'll be okay, though, bud.." Karma smiles awkwardly. "Thank you.." Anthony sniffles, nuzzling his chest softly. "I-Is it okay if I S-Sleep with you guys s-sometimes..? O-Only when it's bad.. I-I haven't had anyone t-to be able to snuggle with when I'm s-scared.. I-I don't wanna freak L-Levi out And-And his dad, Kye, doesn't L-Like me.. S-So I couldn't talk to h-him.." Levi sniffles, just snuggling up close to his chest, glancing up at him and digging around in his pocket, pulling out a bandana and showing it to Zarron. "M-Mmf.." he looked nervous. "I-I bought a b-bandana.. And-And.. I-I know you wear y-yours because of.. M-Mmf.. M-My grandpa.. B-But.. C-Can I wear my bandana L-Like yours...?" Karma nods. "Sure.." Zarron looked absolutely horrified. "Wh- Are you serious?!" Levi's eyes widen and he looked terrified, quickly shoving the bandana back in his pocket and shoving himself off of Zarron and off the bed, protecting his head, shaking violently and staring at him, dead silent. Anthony nods a bit, sighing shakily and squirming out of his shirt, feeling comfortable enough with them to do this, throwing it to the side and cuddling up to them, closing his eyes and resting his head on Karma's chest. "I-I love you b-both so so m-much.." Max smiles a bit. "I love you too, sweetheart.." Zarron frowns deeply, but looks away, feeling extremely violated. Karma smiles warmly. "Me too.." Levi scootches himself into the corner of the room, clutching his head and breathing heavily, looking awful. He presses his back into the corner, trying to take deep breaths to calm himself but failing, absolutely hating when people yelled. He stares at the ground, pulling his Hood back up, this being the first even semibad attack he had had since he'd been with Zarron. Max nuzzles Anthony's back. "We can set up your room tomorrow, sweetheart.. Just get some rest.. At least one of us will stay right here with you all night.." Anthony sniffles and nods, pulling the blanket onto all of them, getting comfortable and starting to doze up, falling asleep almost instantly. Max was filled with joy. He looks to karma, whispering to him. "He's so, so brave.. After everything he's been through, he's still here.. He's a fighter.."
Jake was examining Kye's body, glancing at Zul and gesturing for him to talk to Kye, not having noticed Levi as he was on Zarrons side of the room. Zarron felt horrible, but he didn't know what to do. Karma nods, smiling kindly.
Zul looked very very worried, glancing at Levi, and not wanting to talk to Kye. Jake sighs, putting a hand on Zul's shoulder. "He's just sick, sweetheart.. He'll be okay.. I promise.. I know it's scary to see him like this again.. But look.." he points to Kye's mouth, showing him there was no tubes. "He doesn't have tubes in his mouth this time.. He's breathing all by himself.." Celeste glances up from the computer and immediately sees Levi, her eyes widening and she takes the headphones off and sets them down on the bedside table along with the laptop, quickly going over to him and picking him up, glancing at Zarron as she didn't know what to do. Levi shook violently in her arms, gasping for air in panicked breaths. Celeste wines a bit, quickly going over to the side of the bed, just squeezing him tightly. "Wh-What's wrong with him..? H-He's shaking and c-crying.." Max reaches over and kisses Karma's lips softly, smiling at him, just observing him before laying back down. "Mm.. I wish we had a baby baby.. Levi was the most adorable baby in the world.." he glances at karma's arms. "And I know he did stuff to you, but.. He really is an amazing kid.." he chuckles a bit. "Would you wanna adopt a baby at some point? Cuz uh.. Obviously we can't really have one.." Zul shakes his head vigorously and pointing at Levi. "Levi!!" Zarron frowns deeper. "I-I.. L-Levi, I'm s-sorry.." Karma looks a bit surprised, and smiles a little, looking off. "I was hoping for a biological one, actually.. for um.. a hypothetical heir.. and stuff.." Max tilts his head, looking a bit confused. "Oh.. Uh.. Alright..?" It was clear he didn't really know what he meant. Levi just cries harder, clutching onto Celeste's shoulders tightly, digging his nails into them. Celeste just bounces him, not knowing what else to do with him, wincing from his nails. Jake glances over, frowning deeply and quickly helping Zul off the bed. "Go help him, buddy.. Thank you for being a good brother.." he kisses his head softly. Karma laughs awkwardly. "Like.. with a surrogate.." Zul looked baffled. "B-B-But?!" Jake huffs a bit. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. I'm not leaving your father and sisters side. Just go see why he's upset and have uncle Zarron help you." He was still gripping Kye's hands tightly. Levi digs his claws more into her shoulders as he continued to cry. Celeste whimpers and throws him off of her and onto the bed next to Zarron harshly, huffing. "I was just trying to help, meanie." She crosses her arms and sits on the end of the bed away from them. Levi bangs his fist down onto the mattress, pressing his face harshly into the mattress. Max secretly pulls out his phone and searches the word "surrogate", quickly shutting it off and looking back up at karma. "Sure!" He smiles brightly. "How do we uh.. Get a surrogate..?" Zul looked extremely upset by this, and then angry, yelling at him, "You're a dick of male reproductive system. In all caps." Zarron grabs him, holding him tightly. Karma chuckles. "My sister." Max chuckles a bit as well. "So I'm assuming it'd my DNA then.." he nuzzles him, having shifted a bit so their heads were next to each other. "I wanna take you out to dinner soon.. Somewhere really really fancy.." he glances down at his pocket, playing around with something inside of it. Jake looks surprised. "Hey! No cussing, Zul!" Levi looked scared of him, frantically trying to get away, protecting his head with one arm, looking like he was expecting to get hit by Zarron. Karma tilts his head. "Alright." He looks curiously at his pocket. "Whatcha got there?" Zul huffs, still angry, and runs off to Levi, hugging him tightly. Zarron looked extremely guilty. Levi frantically gets into Zul's arms, crying harshly into his shoulder, whimpering loudly and whispering in his ear. "I-I-I'm gunna G-Get hit.. P-Protect M-My head.. I-I'll die if th-They break.. I-I don't want t-to die.. P-Please don't L-Let me d-die.." Max looks extremely surprised, closing his fist over what he had. "U-Uh.. It's um.." he blushes immensely. "H-Heh.. A p-present I guess..? Not S-Sure when to give it to Y-You though.." he looked extremely nervous. Zarron looks away, wishing Levi would just leave. Zul rubs his back softly. "No, he's not going to hit you, okay..? You're safe, don't worry, just calm down.." Karma was oblivious. "Oh. Well, I can wait." He smiles. Levi notices this look on Zarrons face and gulps, getting out of Zul's arms and getting off the bed quickly, grabbing Zul's hand and trying desperately to get them out of the room, looking like he was about to pass out, swaying and barely able to see. "..C-Can't.. ..B-Breathe.." Max smiles nervously back at him. "Mm... What's your favorite thing to do..?" Zul looked extremely concerned, hugging him again. "L-Levi..?" Karma thinks. "Mm.. cooking.. or gardening." Max giggles a bit, carefully moving Anthony out of both of their arms, moving over to karma and laying on top of him. "Mm..~ Do you like cuddling..? Cuzzzzz... I can work with cuddling for your present.." he kisses his lips softly. Levi looks in his general direction. "..H-He hates M-M-Me.." he kept repeating this over and over and over again and again. Karma chuckles softly, smirking slyly. "I sure do~" he said against his lips, kissing back afterwards. Zul hugs him so tight his breath was tightened, making it hard to speak. He was just extremely worried about him. Max giggles a bit, moving his mouth to his ear, breathing heavily into it, pressing himself against him. "How soon do you want your present, baby..?" Levi collapses into his arms, knocking them both to the floor, just gripping onto him tightly, pressing his face into his shoulder and trying to calm down, clearly needing help with this as he struggled greatly with it. A chill runs down Karma's spine and he sighs shakily, tensing from this. "Heh..~"  Zul was getting very stressed now, and looks to Jake pleadingly, fury in his eyes accompanying this. Jake just acts like he didn't see him, extremely scared to leave Kye even for a second. Levi eventually starts to calm down in his arms, his breathing stabilizing. Max raises both eyebrows, glancing downwards for a split second, a chill running down his spine as well and he sighs shakily, nuzzling him. "N-Not that, baby.. B-Better than that.." he presses his face into his neck. Kye glares at Jake as he sees Zul's look, not liking that Jake was ignoring him. Zul keeps his held close. Karma looks confused for a moment, before shaking his head and just moving his head and bringing him into a kiss again.
Max sighs shakily, kissing back very very passionately, closing his eyes. He pulls back after quite a while, opening his eyes and breathing heavily, staring into his eyes. Jake glances at Kye, frowning deeply. "I-I'm not leaving y-you.." Levi sighs shakily, sniffling and muttering. "He's going to hit me.. I-I was just asking... H-He hates me now.." Karma looked a bit bothered by this, still unsatisfied, but says nothing, his expression softening after a moment. Kye lets go of both hands, and looks away, angry. Zul shakes his head. "Levi, he wasn't, He doesn't hate you.." Jake frowns deeply, looking hurt and just sitting there next to him, tears in his eyes. Emma has gone back to sleep.Levi sniffles. He carefully gets up after a few moments, helping Zul up and walking over to Zarron, keeping a tight grip on Zul's hand. "M-Mmf.. I-I love you, Z-Zarron.. D-Don't be m-mad.. P-Please.. I-I'll leave you a-alone b-but please don't be m-mad.." Max sighs shakily. "M-Mm.." he glances at Anthony. "I-I can give you your present N-Now if you really want it.." he nuzzles karma's neck. Kye does not look back at him. Zarron sighs. "I'm not mad.. you just... this bandana is not a good thing.. I didn't want to see him when I looked at you.." Karma shakes his head, just trying to get him to kiss him again. Max sighs shakily, giving him a quick kiss and looking at his eyes, knowing karma didn't normally act like this, checking to see if he was high. "Are you high, sweetheart..?" Levi sniffles. "M-Mmf.. C-Can I wear mine o-one my forehead Th-That way I still have one B-But it doesn't look like yours..?" " He pulls out his light green bandana. Jake sighs shakily, just staring at the ground.
Karma growls quietly, his normal eye quickly closes so Max wouldn't be able to see, though Max would've been able to before this, it indeed more dilated than usual. He just tries again to kiss him. Zarron nods. "Sure.." Max let's out a long sigh, kissing him for a few moments before pulling back again. "Karma, baby.. When did you even have the time to get high??" Levi smiles a bit weakly, climbing onto the bed and pulling Zul in next to him, carefully rolling it and then adjusting it on his head, glancing back at Zarron as he tied it. He looked happier now, it clear he was just trying to be like Zarron but not knowing how to go about it. "What kind of clothes do you normally wear..? I wanna go shopping and get some for me.."  Karma huffs, shifting, disliking his questions. Zarron lets out a long sigh. "I just wear whatever's in my closet.." Max sighs shakily, looking at the floor on the side of the bed where karma was, it clear he wasn't mad at karma, just sad that he didn't want to hang out with him just to hang out with him, feeling he was only doing this because of the drugs. Levi giggles a bit. "That doesn't help me at all, silly!" He pulls Zul into his lap, hugging him tightly and kissing him softly. "I wanna dress like you!" There was a needled syringe on the floor, with a small amount of whatever what it had been used for still in it. Zarron groans. "It's just.. like... t-shirts..." he was clearly tired. Kye was still angry, but he was trying to move more, his arms gaining a bit of movement on top of his hands now.
Levi notices his tiredness and quickly lays down, cuddling up to him and resting his head on his shoulder, nuzzling him softly. "We can sleep if you want.." He glances at Zul. "You should snuggles too!" Celeste had gotten in between Zarron's legs and fallen asleep, not having wanted to disturb them so she just laid there. Jake smiles a bit at this. "That's good, baby.. You're doing good.." Max sighs shakily, picking it up and throwing it in the trash, getting back on the bed and sitting on top of him. "I'm not letting you do anything with me just because of the drugs by the way. That's not how it works. I'll cuddle with you for now but you have to stay in the bed with me and Anthony. Okay? We promised Anthony we'd stay with him." Anthony was out cold in the middle of the bed, curled up in a ball. Zarron nods slowly. Zul just lays against him. Kye grumbles, immediately stopping as he heard him. Karma grumbles, clearly not happy with this, and struggling. Max huffs, clearly getting upset. He slides off of him and gets off the bed. "Fine. I'm going to lay in Anthony's room." He storms out of the room, shutting the door behind him, quickly going Anthony room and laying on the bed. Levi snuggles them both, smiling a bit. "I love you both.. My best brother and my best uncle.." Jake looked hurt by this, looking off and just sitting there silently. Karma's eyes widen and he grabs for him, but fails, grunting and trying to get out of the bed, but simply slipping off of it, and knocking himself unconscious with the fall. However, the fall was not great enough to make a noise that would've alerted Max. Kye glares at the floor. Zul smiles warmly. Zarron just stares.Max bursts into tears, pulling a very very expensive engagement ring out of his pocket, his bottom lip quivering, having wanted to give it to Karma then but karma being high ruining all of it. He shoves the ring back into his pocket, laying there as he cried silently, already knowing he wasn't going to get any sleep that night. Levi looks up at Zarron, frowning a bit. "Are you okay...?" Jake sighs shakily, glancing at Kye. "M-Mmf.. I-I'm getting the feeling Th-That you don't want me H-Here.." Zarron nods. "I'm fine.." Kye does nothing in agreement or protest. Jake sighs shakily. "Mmf.." he gets up off the bed, glancing back at him and moving over to one of the chairs in the room, sitting down and staring at the ground, tears in his eyes, it clear he was emotionally broken, having cried all the tears he could since he's been here. Levi sighs, nodding a bit. "Alright.. Let's all sleep.. I'm exhausted.." he snuggles up to them, curling up and closing his eyes, falling asleep almost instantly. Zarron and Zul both do the same. Kye still, does nothing.Jake sighs, just deciding maybe he needed to sleep, closing his eyes and leaning back, his head against the wall and he falls asleep quite quickly, snoring quietly, it clear he needed this sleep.
