Chase: If you aren't busy, do you mind if I call you on the phone?"
Julia: No I don't mind at all. I am done with my work for the day and am free!

***Phone Conversation with Chase****
Chase: Hey Julia, Congratulations on your new job at MRN being a fill-in for Glass Case!
Julia: Hey Chase! Aww thank you so much. I was definitely not expecting that at all today. Ryan let it slip that you knew this whole time and that you wanted to put your merchandise in my gift basket from them.
Chase: You are so welcome. Wow really? Haha of course Blaney would tell you that. Yeah I was talking to him as he was putting it together so I told him to swing by Hendrick Motorsports and grab a bunch of my merchandise to put in there.
Julia: I honestly walked into work thinking it was just going to be a normal day, but Kate my boss had the whole day planned out. That gift basket that they gave me truly was the coolest thing it was filled with so much stuff that I would enjoy, and I love that you gave me your merchandise too.
Chase: See you've already made such an impression on so many people that you have two really important jobs that nobody else can say that they have. Well I'm so glad that you enjoyed getting my merchandise in your gift basket. I so owe Blaney back for that.
Julia: Thanks I really hope that I have. I can say that I have 2 super important jobs that nobody has ever had before. I really did enjoy it. What favor do you have to do for Ryan?
Chase: No problem it's true though. I'm not sure what I'll have to do for Blaney; he mentioned something about me flying him somewhere as an option but I have no clue what he will end up telling me. He said to me that Bubba and I were the only ones that knew about MRN wanting to give you a job offer, I know he was nervous that I would have slipped up and told you and ruined their surprise.
Julia: I think that is so cool that you have your pilots license and can fly anywhere that you want, I bet it's also pretty convenient for you. I'm sure Ryan might have you doing something crazy knowing how he is and his personality. He told me at lunch that y'all were the only ones that knew and that you were a good friend for not telling. He was excited to know that we have been texting a lot, but that was definitely news to both Kim and Chuck.
Chase: Yeah I love being able to just fly anywhere that I want to or any plane also. I think that it's convenient because I never have to deal with huge airports like Atlanta I can just go to little local airports. I have known Blaney for over 13 years, so you would think that I would know what's coming from him but clearly I don't. I try to be a good friend even though he doesn't invite me to any of his trips. That is so funny that you had to explain to Kim and Chuck that ever since I called into the podcast that you and I have been texting each other.
Julia: I can see that because I feel like huge airports like Atlanta are so overwhelming anyways. What do you mean that he doesn't invite you on his trips, I figured that y'all were super close friends. I really did then they began telling me that they "shipped" us together.
Chase: Well for the past couple of years Blaney and Bubba have gone on trips after the season ends and you would think that they would invite me their other close friend to go but they don't. I then have to find out through social media that they are together out of the country somewhere. They just recently went to Hawaii and to Disney. Oh gosh, what does shipping even mean?
Julia: That's so terrible that they wouldn't invite you a close friend of theirs on these special trips to celebrate the season being over. When I talk to Ryan I'll have to ask and aggravate him about that. Lol "shipping" is basically a fangirl term for wanting 2 people to get together and become a couple because they may or may not be soulmates for each other.
Chase: You aggravating Blaney would be so funny to see, if you did it on air during the podcast would be even funnier. Hmm this "shipping" sounds pretty cool from your definition that you've given me. Maybe they could be onto something.
Julia: Ooh your right that would be funny doing it on Glass Case because he wouldn't know it was coming and you could always call in too and really annoy him about it. You'd never miss another invite again. Yeah I understand it from watching all my girly television shows because I wanted different characters to be together. They might be onto something if it happens in the future.
Chase: I will definitely call into the podcast for this. Whenever you go back on I'll do it, and you know it'll bring the viewers in. They want to hear Blaney tell the truth that I'm never invited to things that him and Bubba do together. Of course you would know from watching girly shows on tv. All I can say is whatever happens happens. I just checked my phone and we've been talking on the phone to each other for over an hour already.
Julia: Okay sounds like a plan. That's words to live by right there. Wow I feel like we could probably talk for hours on end really. What's your plans for the rest of the week?
Chase: We really could talk for hours and hours about everything under the sun. So far I'm just gonna be hanging out here in Dawsonville before leaving to go to Kansas for racing. I'll hang out with my parents, I need to talk to my pr team because I might have a hometown interview since I'm home for a little bit. What's about you?
Julia: We both have that Georgia charm of being easy to talk to. That will be nice since your parents might not come to every race of yours. Sounds like you'll keep yourself entertained for the next few days. I am not really sure yet the only thing I know is that I'll get to publish my next report first thing in the morning. Speaking of which it's getting late and I have to be up early for work, I have so enjoyed getting to actually talk to you on the phone. I am always here if you need to talk and you can always call me whenever. I have to get going, but I'll talk to you later. Goodnight Chase. Bye!
Chase: We certainly do have that Georgia charm. That's super exciting for you. I have really enjoyed getting to talk to you today too,I'm glad I built up enough courage to call you first. Thanks and same goes for me you can always call me too just to talk or whatever. Talk to you later. Goodnight Julia. Bye!
