Chapter 21: Yes, No, Maybe So?

//Julia's POV//

As Chase and I were flying back to Charlotte we decided to continue our fun little questionnaire that we were doing. I told him more about my family and he told me more about his, he hopes that Ryan will find a good girl to be with, where we would like to travel to, different television shows that we enjoyed watching, and if we wanted to trade hairstyles with anybody. As were were making our descent into Charlotte he decided to ask me just one more question that had me checking if I still had a pulse and did I even clearly hear that right.

Chase:"Do you love me do you want to be my friend? And if you do, well then don't be afraid to take me by the hand. If you want to I think this is how love goes...Check yes or no?"

When he asked this I sat there for a minute and thought about everything before I turned back to look at him and give him an answer. I know that it sounds crazy that we haven't even had an official date yet and just met in person today, but I have these feelings for him that I can't explain. So he's gotta be special for me to not even think twice about saying yes to his question. At first I didn't really know what to say but I finally built up the courage to just tell him how I felt. 

Julia: Aww Chase that is the cutest and sweetest thing ever. I know that we haven't known each other long but I feel like we have known each other forever. I have had the best time getting to spend the whole day with you while you showed me around your hometown and your family. I know we haven't even had an official date yet and that we just met in person today.To be completely honest with you I have had the biggest crush on you for a long time now and seeing how you treat me and make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I have definitely developed feelings for you and was just secretly hoping that you felt the same way. I have these feelings for you that I just can't explain, so you've got to be pretty special then. To answer your question I would Check yes and wouldn't even think twice about it. 

//Chase's POV//

After asking that question I began to think that maybe it was too risky to ask her. Thanks to George Strait for the lyrics. I noticed it was still quiet so I snuck a quick glance over at Julia before trying to focus back on the plane as we were making our descent back into Charlotte. She had this joyful look on her face as she sat there and I'm assuming she was contemplating how she was gonna answer me. I know people probably think that I am full on crazy for asking her such a loaded question even though we haven't even had an official date, but I don't care I have this feeling about her that I just can't explain. I sure was hoping for the best and that she had mutual feelings toward me. She looked back over at me and then began to answer me.  I couldn't believe my ears when I heard what all she was saying to me. She explained that first of all she was having such a fantastic day by getting to spend it with me and let me show her around my hometown and my family. Then she went on to say that she has had the biggest crush on me for the longest time; she noticed that I always treated her with respect (which is how women should be treated anyways) and that I made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She ended it by then saying that she had developed feelings towards me, she hoped I had reciprocating feelings, and that she would Check yes. 

I was over the moon happy and could not wait until this plane was safely on the ground and not moving. I radioed back to her through my headphones and explained that we were landing and to hold on tight to the side handles if she needed them. I didn't want her to be peaceful and relaxed because I know from plenty of experiences that landings can be a little rough sometimes. I also told her that I felt the same way about her and thought that she was the most beautiful woman that I had ever seen. She was so excited about everything going on that she radioed back to me and said be careful landing this plane and that I needed to hurry it up so we could hug and kiss each other. That only made me even more giddy then I already was. 

We softly landed onto the runway at the airport and began rolling back into the hanger that I have here in Charlotte. The plane soon came to a stop and we were officially back on the ground in North Carolina. I was turning to look over at Julia and saw that she was already looking to her left at me. We sat there what felt like forever just smiling at each other before we decided to climb out of the plane, so we could fully embrace each other. I told her that I was going to get out of the plane first and that she was to stay there, so I could help her out and fall into my arms. I thought to myself I could not wait to tell Blaney how this day has went and to really thank him for setting me up with her. I got out of the plane quickly and walked over to her side so I could help her out of the plane which was kinda y'all I might add. I helped her out of the plane and onto the ground before she immediately threw her arms around me. I put my arms around her also and gave her a small squeeze letting her know that she was safe. I noticed as we were hugging that even in the high heels that she had been wearing all day she was still shorter than me which made her even cuter then she already was. 

We pulled back from our hug a little bit and she began to lean forward onto me. I copied her and leaned in closer to her, and then we were slowly starting to press our foreheads together. I could tell that she was kinda nervous and overly joyful at the same time. This is my chance I thought to myself before I began to lower my forehead and press my lips onto her pink plump lips. We were kissing each other and it all felt right in the world.
