Chapter 25: How Bout You

A/N: Whew it's been a while folks. I can officially start working on this story again. Hope everyone is still enjoying it, and dare I say...NASCAR racing is back! 

//Julia's POV// 

Where we left off in the last chapter: I had a few minutes before Chase got back over to my apartment from Hendrick Motorsports to tidy up. I got everything unpacked from my trip and put into my hamper or my closet, I then took my computer into the living room and sat down with it plugged into the wall charging  as I began typing up my report. For my report I kept it pretty modest and focused on my interview with Chase, I didn't need anybody knowing anything else about what went on at the moment. I don't want to get Chase or I in trouble with NASCAR and with CMS. 

I had most of my report done about my interview when I heard a knock at my door. Of course I knew it was Chase but I made sure to look through my peep-whole first just to be sure. I opened the door to see my cute Georgia boy, even though we just saw each other not even 30 minutes ago I was still overly giddy to see him. I let him in and he had told me about what his meeting was about. 

Chase: Mr. Hendrick wanted to meet with us before we head out to Kansas for the race this weekend. He is wanting us to meet up at the airplane hanger around 6:15 before we fly out at 7 all together as a team. 

Julia: Hmm let me guess..you don't really want to ride with your team. You just want to fly to and from by yourself? 

Chase: Damn girl you already know me so well haha. It's not that I don't mind my team but I like being able to go and leave as I please and not have to specifically wait on anybody. Especially if somebody wins it's the longest. 

Julia: I had a feeling that was going to be the case when it came to you. At least you have a good team that you get along with though Jimmie, Alex, and William. I wouldn't want to be on a team that I'm not friends with or semi close to. 

Chase: I know right I am so thankful that I am on a team that I really enjoy. The guys are all so nice and have been there through a lot of changing within the team with drivers leaving or retiring. I'm also glad that I have friends like Blaney and Bubba too. 

Julia: Team Hendrick has definitely had some changes over the years that's for sure. While we are sitting here would you like some sweet tea or anything to drink? 

Chase: What a true southern girl to have sweet tea handy. Yeah I'll take a glass if you don't mind. Have you heard from GCOE about when you are going back on? 

Julia: Why of course I am. That is no problem at all, I'll make you a glass. I believe that I am going on GCOE next Tuesday. I need to double check with them and make sure that that is the right day. I'm excited to be getting to go back on that show and have a job there apart from CMS. 

Chase: Thank you so much for my drink. Oh that's good. Blaney likes to call and prank some of his close "buddies" on the show early in the mornings, so don't be surprised if you hear from me or Bubba and we sound a little cranky. 

Julia: You are so welcome. At this point after hearing the many different stories from you and experiencing Blaney for myself I'm not surprised. I guess it would be nice to hear from you on the show again even if you do sound a little cranky haha. Would you like to watch some tv or Netflix before you have to leave? 

Chase: Oh you know I'd call in to hear your voice even if it is a little early. Knowing that it was you calling and not Blaney I wouldn't be cranky or try to not be. Sounds like a plan to me, I don't have to leave for another hour and a half. I am good with watching anything. 

Julia: Aww really?! You are the sweetest thing. I'll scroll through what I have recorded on my DVR and if I can't find anything decent we can pick something on Netflix. 

Chase: I see that you have a few episodes of Game of Thrones to watch. I am not caught up on those two. How bout you? 

                                                      Back to just Julia's POV 

Chase and I were already sitting on the same sofa so we scooted closer to one another and pulled a blanket that I had over us. I had a few episodes of Game of Thrones to watch to get caught up on, and luckily for me Chase had not seen these episodes either. We were both 2 episodes behind from the newest episode that had just aired the other night on tv. While watching tv we noticed that we had the same favorite characters which are Khalessi and John Snow. I swear this boy and I have to be soulmates.
