//Chase's POV still//

She truly was even more beautiful in person; I noticed she had these golden brown eyes,cute little freckles that covered her face, and she was the perfect height even with high heeled shoes on.I could not believe that the girl I had been texting and talking to on the phone was standing right in front of me. I can't wait to thank Blaney for giving me her number the first day we had talked to each other. I was starting to overthink that I didn't dress up enough for this interview after seeing how beautifully she was dressed. I soon began to freak out because I noticed that she had turned around and was walking towards me. I thought to myself do I make the first move or do I let her do her job and speak to me first? It felt like she was sped walking trying to make her way over to me, but she finally made it over to me..

//Julia's POV//

I was getting mic'd up by some of the crew and camera crew when I noticed this very attractive man that had just walked into the Pool Room. I could see him through this little window that was in the room that I was set up in. I noticed he was tall but not too tall, had dark curly hair, was built up but not too bulky. When he had got there he was wearing these aviator sunglasses like what you would see on Top Gun; he also wore a blue striped shirt that had a logo on it, a pair of gray shorts, some nike tennis shoes, and a light blue hat. I was very distracted by who this man was then I saw him start walking into the area where I was and I soon realized that it was Chase that I had gotten so distracted by. I looked up from what I was doing and saw that he had just walked into the room that I was in, for a moment I thought that we had locked eyes for a minute but maybe that was just my imagination. I was finished getting mic'd up so I figured I should go over and formally introduce myself to him. Whelp here goes nothing...

Julia: Hey my name is Julia Winters and I will be the one interviewing you today.

Chase: Hey there MS. Julia I'm William Clyde Elliott II but everyone calls me Chase. It's nice to meet you in person finally. I can't believe that you are the one interviewing me today for NASCAR.

Julia: It is so nice to finally meet you in person as well. I got the call from NASCAR early yesterday morning that they wanted me to do this interview with you. Since everything has happened with me getting that job at Glass Case and then announcing it everyone has been wanting me to do interviews.

Chase: Wow that's crazy. I'm sure Blaney will be so excited to see that we finally met in person and earlier than we had originally planned. What time did you get into town yesterday?

Julia: Yeah my social media has definitely been blowing up these last 2 days. I'm sure he will be excited, I'm so glad that he didn't blow it and tell you that I was gonna be interviewing you. I got in around 4 yesterday afternoon. I flew into the local airport here in Dawsonville, so it wasn't gonna be a struggle flying into the Atlanta airport instead.

Chase: I can't believe Blaney knew about this. At least he was being a good friend though and not spilling any secrets. That's definitely much better flying into our small local airport than trying to fly into the busiest airport in the world.

{Just then one of the crew members came up to us saying that it was time to make it to our seats for the interview to start}

                                                        The Big Interview

Julia: Hey y'all my name is Julia Winters. I'm here in Dawsonville today at the Dawsonville Pool Room  getting the inside scoop on why this place has such a special meaning to the Elliott family. Here with me is Mr. Chase Elliott himself to fill us in on all of the details.

Chase: Hey y'all my name is Chase Elliott and I drive the number 9 Napa Auto Parts car for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Monster Energy racing series.

Julia: Let's get started shall we. So Chase when did you decide that you wanted to race full time like your dad did?

Chase: I began first racing Go-Karts and saw that I was good at it, so I began moving up in the series to eventually try and get a deal in NASCAR. When I began racing and could see that I was winning I knew that this was something I could do for a long time like my dad.

Julia: If your racing profession didn't turn out the way that you wanted it to did you have a plan of what you wanted to do?

Chase: If my racing career/profession didn't work out for me I wanted to be a pilot. So during the summer 2-3 years ago I decided to get my pilot's license since I have always had an interest in aviation anyways.

Julia: At what age do you remember going to the track with your dad for the races?

Chase: My parents have been taking me to the racetrack ever since I was a baby. They even have pictures of Dale Earnhardt Sr holding me which is pretty cool in my opinion. I vaguely remember being at the track probably around the age of 6.

Julia: How special is the Pool Room to your family?

Chase: The Pool Room is so special to my family because they have dedicated pretty much the whole place to our racing careers. Every time that one of us wins a race they "ring the sireen" so everybody in town knows that one of the Elliott's or both of them has won a race this weekend.

Julia: So what's the deal about Blaney saying that you never come to trips that he has invited you to go on?

Chase: Blaney must have told you that because he can talk all he wants but he never invites me to any of his trips that he takes. When the season is over they've gone to Hawaii, Disney, Costa Rica, you name it, and where was I?

Julia: Well maybe you'll have to start taking some fancy trips yourself then. What's your favorite thing about being from the state of Georgia?

Chase: Maybe I will start taking some fancy trips with some special friends of mine. My favorite thing about being from the state of Georgia is pretty much everything between my family, certain friends, The Varsity, ATL Speedway, and of course both the Braves and the Dawgs.

Julia: I definitely agree with all of those things being that I'm from Georgia also. Well folks that does it for us. Thank y'all for tuning in and for Chase letting us learn more about him and his racing family. I'm Julia Winters; bye y'all.
