Chapter 27: Early Morning Coffee

//Julia's POV// 

I felt like I haven't been in to my office at CMS I'm so long. Today was finally the day that I was going back in, I was excited to see Kate and everyone else. I had got up early to pick out an outfit for the day, I decided to wear a flowy blouse with a pair of my black slack pants. While I started to get ready I heard a distinct ringtone from a certain Georgia boy. 

***PHONE CONVO WITH CHASE***

Chase: Good morning my girl.

Julia: Good morning to you too my Georgia boy. What are you doing up early? 

Chase: Well I just so happened to get back to Charlotte early and I wanted to stop by and bring you some coffee before I head back to Georgia. 

Julia: Aww that is so sweet of you! That will be so nice because I can bring it with me to work in a few hours. 

Chase: I'm going to stop by Starbucks and get us some drinks then. What would you like for me to pick you up? 

Julia: I think that I would like a hot coffee with a double shot of espresso and some cream and sugar. 

Chase: Alright I can do that for you. I'll see you in a few minutes then! 

Julia: Thank you so much. I'll see you in a few minuets, be careful! 

*** END OF PHONE CONVO WITH CHASE*** 

I had just finished my makeup when I heard a knock on my apartment door. I was in one of my Georgia Bulldog sleep shirts and some shorts with my hair up in a towel. I opened the door and there stood Chase with a bag of some breakfast food and a cup carrier with our drinks. I let him in quickly before anybody could see me in my pajamas. Of course Chase saw what I had on and had to say something about it him being a Georgia Bulldogs fan and all. 

"Man looks like I'm the one getting a good morning view" Chase said to me. 

I couldn't help but laugh and say thanks, but I think I'm the one getting the good morning view too. He blushed a little bit and then tried to hide it before I could see or say anything about it. He said that he had also picked us up some breakfast pastries for us to eat while we drank our coffees. I had to be at work at 9, I looked over at the clock to see that it was only 7. I had told Chase on the phone that I had work today so he brought me a special cup to carry my coffee in when I took it to work. It was one of his travel mugs that had his name, number, and signature on it. The color of the mug was a sparkly dark blue to match his paint scheme on his car. I was so excited to see him that I gave him the biggest hug and kiss on the cheek. He returned the hug and the kiss and then proceeded to kiss me on the lips. Our lips were in sync and it felt like we could kiss for a lifetime. 

We finally stopped kissing so we could get some air that we desperately needed. We sat down at the little table in my kitchen and ate our breakfast and drank our coffee. I was glad that he had ordered me a larger coffee than what I normally order for myself so I could take the rest of it in my new travel mug. While I went back into my room to start getting ready Chase cleaned up the kitchen and washed my cup for me. After he was finished he came back into the room where I was. I had already changed into my work clothes before he had came back to where I was. I was just getting ready to fix my hair when he came into my bathroom. He came up behind me and kissed my cheek before he propped up against the counter to watch me. I had to start leaving my apartment in about 20 minutes or so, so I can make it to work a little bit early. 

Once I was ready to go we both hugged and kissed again before I had to leave for work and he had to head to the airport. We promised to text and call each other once he was back safely in Dawsonville. I would let him know that I got to work but I didn't want to distract him while he was flying.

——Time skip to work——> 

I got to work and before I walked in I sent Chase a text saying I had made it to work okay and that I would talk to him later on. I turned the car off and grabbed my purse and my bag and started walking into the building. I set my stuff in my office and then grabbed my coffee to go swing by Kate's office. As soon as I walked into her office she immediately noticed my cute travel mug, she had never seen this kind before and was curious about it. I told her that one of my sweet friends had got me that travel mug. I thought to myself I can't wait to tell Chase later that everyone has been loving my mug! I sat in one of the chairs that is in front of Kate's desk. She wants me to work on some new marketing flyers and articles to put out for the upcoming back to back races. She wants me to get a celebrity or celebrity couple to come and take some pictures in some racing gear to get fans excited. So I told her that I have 3 couples that I can use...Sarah and Christian McCaffrey, Cydney and Morgan Wallen, and Abby and Dansby Swanson! 

Kate said that all three of them will be fantastic for the photo shoot. I can't wait to make my phone calls to my friends and have them come to the track!
