connor has been playing video games for hours and i just want to be with him but he's too preoccupied.
"baby?" i say walking into our bedroom
"yeah" he says aggressively tapping on his game controller
"when do you think you'll be done?" i ask
no response.
"hello?"
"yeah sorry" he said quickly
"when will you be done?" i say slightly annoyed
"give me ten minutes babe"
"okay can i lay in between your legs?" i ask shyly
"of course sweetheart" he says
i lay in between his legs and he runs his fingers through my hair and i sigh.
"everything alright darling?" connor asks concerned
"yeah i just want to be with you right now"
"i'm always here" he says going back to playing

i can tell something is off with y/n but i dont want to push her too much.
"okay darling i'm done" i say putting my controller down and brushing my hands through her hair as kissing her forehead.
"come here and cuddle with me"
"okay" she says quietly
"is my baby feeling alright?" i ask as she puts her head in my chest
"just super tired and feeling a bit sad" she sound drained
"why sad my love?"
"i don't know it's coming from me being tired" she says blankly
"okay go to sleep i'm right here"
