lately, y/n has been getting home late from work. she's been taking extra long shifts into time for her to get sleep so she can pay for college. she's been working extremely hard and i've tried to help her out with money but she insists i don't. every night for the past month i've been staying up for her to come home. i wait always to eat dinner with her. i'm not complaining because i couldn't bare eating without her or going to sleep without her in my arms. i made us a nice dinner tonight and poured her a glass of wine cause she should be here soon. it's currently 11:30 and it takes her about minutes to get home cause she got off at 11. i sit on the couch and wait for her.
the door unlocks and my attention goes to her. i stand up and walk towards her
"con please stop staying up this late. you have work tomorrow i can eat alone and you can go get some sleep" she says putting her coat on the rack
"no i'm never going to eat or sleep without you" i say hugging her and giving her a kiss
"i love you" she says
"i love you too baby. how was your day?" i ask getting our food and bringing to our small dining table.
"exhausting. how was yours?"
"boring. i picked up around the house and edited some" i say placing her plate in front of her. she kissed my cheek and took a sip of her wine
"i'm sorry and thanks bubba" she says starting to eat
"don't apologize" i say
we ate and got ready for bed
"let's watch some tv babygirl" i say plopping on the bed and y/n following soon after. she lays down on my legs.
we watch our favorite movie and towards the end i notice y/n is asleep. i take a picture and post it on instagram
"baby wake up your neck is gonna be sore if you sleep like that" i say moving hair out of her face. she makes noises moves up into my chest without a word. i turn off the light and chuckle
"goodnight my sleepy baby" i say kissing her forehead
"night" she mumbles before falling into dreamland.
