after a lazy day at home with connor, my boyfriend of 3 years, we decided that its time to get ready for tonight. we are attending a party together at one of my best friends houses. connor doesnt know many people but his close friend sam should be there so im not too concerned. im a very outgoing person and connor is a very reserved guy so i want him to branch out and make him a bit more comfortable with people. this year, connor and i have decided that connor is going to be a football player and ill be a cheerleader. i know, very original of us but it was last minute.
"baby lets get out of bed" connor says rubbing my side in attempt to get me out of bed
"noo what time are we leaving?"
"around 6 cause theres gonna be so much LA traffic" he says. i check the time and its 4:40.
"shit connor you shouldve told me!" i yell frustrated because its going to take me so long to get ready.
"oh im sorry" connor sighs
"no dont worry bubs its okay" i say reassuringly while squeezing his cheeks with my hand and kissing him
"im gonna jump in the shower" he says hugging me
"okay ill start my hair and makeup" i say
i start my makeup and listen to some music from ruel. im swaying my hips until i see connor turn the corner with his towel around his waist and his hair all wet and smiled at me
"i saw you silly" he says coming up behind me and kissing my temple. i laugh
"you have a good voice babe" connor says randomly while hes putting on pants.
"thanks" i smile and start to blush
we eventually get ready in time and put on our costumes.
"damn girl you lookin good" connor says teasingly as i walk out into the living room to see him on his phone, as always. i sarcastically pose dramatically
"you dont look to bad yourself" i say leaning my head up to kiss him
"lets get going" he says putting his shoes on
we get to the party and i see my best friend right away
"STELLA" i say running up to her while letting go of connors hand
we hug and i feel connor come and put his arm on my hip
"hey connor" stella says trying to start a conversation
"hey stella hows it going?" he says giving her a side hug. weve all hung out many times but connor is still getting used to everyone
"why dont you go find sam im sure hes wandering around somewhere. and remember to control your drinking cause youre driving"
"okay baby ill see you later" he says kissing me and disappearing in the crowd of people
after a while of drinking and dancing, i spot connor with a group of guys laughing but connor is just standing there looking at his cup. i decided to walk over
"hey everything okay?" i put my hand on his bicep
"yeah" he says. i can tell hes not having the time of his life so i decide to take him to my group of friends.
"loosen up bubba and dance with me" i say and kiss him immediately feeling him relaxing a bit
after some time connor has fully let go and we are all standing outside just talking.
"you guys look so good tonight" sam mentions and everyone agrees
"aw thank you" connor and i say at the same time.
eventually the party decreases by a lot and connor and i are just helping clean up around the giant house.
"thank you guys for helping you didnt have to" stella says hugging us both. we say out goodbyes and walk to the car that is pretty far because parking was horrible.
"my feet hurt so bad" i say. connor picks me up on his back and we walk to the car. by the time we are there, im falling asleep
"baby were home" connor says opening the door on my side and unbuckling my seatbelt. i make some sleepy noises and connor chuckles.
"lets get you to sleep" he says carrying me to our flat in LA. he takes off my shoes and wipes off my makeup. he changes my shirt and takes my skirt off. he takes off his shirt and puts on a pair of basketball shorts
"goodnight sweetheart i love you" he says scooting over to spoon me
"goodnight love you handsome" i say quietly before drifting off to sleep
