I rushed home with tears in my eyes. I was so happy that I rushed in and straight to my moms room.

"Mom! I made the cheer team!" I said opening the door. I didn't let my mood falter when she wasn't there. I just hurried to my room. I threw my bag into the corner and called Tia on FaceTime.

It rang for a couple minutes, so I hung up and called again. I waited for a bit this time, and when the call was answered it was Andy on the phone.

"What!" He asked blatantly. I stopped and just looked for a moment. "Are you gonna speak, cause if not I'm hanging up."

I sat for a minute and right before he hung up I spoke. "Wait! Is Tia there?" He shook his head sadly, and I couldn't help but feel bad. "Send me your phone number from her phone. I'll text you.

His expression started to lighten, but quickly shifted back. "Okay...........,ugh I gotta go." He hung the phone up and second later I got his text.

I saved his number and was debating actually texting him. As I sat staring at the empty message space, I realized this is the best way to talk to him.

"Hey, I'm sorry"

"I do like you, I just don't
think that I've been here
long enough to get into a
relationship."

We texted for a while and most of it was me explaining how I've been feeling lately. The more I apologized the better I felt, but he kept telling me I didn't need to apologize just let him know how I feel more often. I understand that, but telling him I've had wet dreams about him doesn't sound like it would help anything.

So despite my better judgment and fear, I invited him over. It took me a couple minutes to realize what I had just done, but when I did the panic set in. I frantically started to clean up the house, putting everything away as neatly as possible. It took me 20 minutes but I had finally cleaned up the whole house.

My phone vibrated from a text saying "Be there in 10" forcing me off the floor, and up the stairs. I rushed into my bathroom, stripped down and turned the shower on. My shower had taken just about 10 minutes, and as I was stepping out I heard the front door open.

"Kori!" My moms yelled, while letting my dad and Andy in. "We're home, and there's a boy here asking for you. Are you home?" She continued.

I finished drying off and flung my bedroom door open. "Ya I'm home tell him I'll be down in a minute." I closed my door and rushed to my dresser looking for anything decent to wear. I finally decided to just wear my way to big pink sweater and some short shorts.

I rushed down the stairs and around the corner, secretly hoping my dad hadn't said anything out of line to him, but when I stepped into the living room. They were all sitting quietly. "Hey." I said awkwardly.

"Hey! Uggh.... Kori," Andy shot up from the love seat and looked at both my parents with an awkward smile.

"Kori, aren't you going to introduce us to your friend?" My dad asked. I looked at Andy then back at my glaring father and sighed.

"Dad, Mom. This is Andrew, he's a friend from school." I lightly and unknowingly grabbed his hand pulling him towards the stairs.

My parents followed us to the stairs and as we reached the top my mom spoke happily. "I'm making grilled chicken for dinner. Is Andrew staying?" She asked while pinching my fathers arm.

"I would love to Ms.Nova." He spoke before I could say no and the anxious feeling I normally got around him amplified.

I pulled him into my room and shut the door as quickly as I could, hearing the argument start and then stop just as quick as it started.

"I'm sorry." I apologized lightly pushing off of the door. I turned around and was surprised by his lips. They were soft and his kiss was really light, there was a hint of cherry lip balm that made the kiss sweeter. Andy pulled himself back just a little so that our lips were still close, and I could feel his breath changing. Mine just followed after.

"No, I'm sorry." He laughed slowly putting his hands on my hips.

He pressed us against the door and my breath hitched in my throat. I looked up into his hypnotizing honey colored eyes, and part of me wanted to kiss him again. The other part wanted to create some space. He must have seen the first half because he came back in for another light cherry glazed kiss.

We stayed like this for what seemed like forever, until my shorts became tight then I separated our bodies. I looked down to make sure my large hoodie was covering my shorts, but he lightly lifted my head back up and kissed me one more time before walking over to my bed.

I took a couple deep breaths calming myself before I walked over to the bed. "Thanks for inviting me over. I was going crazy not seeing you." He laid back onto my pillow and folded his fingers behind his head.

"Why is that?" I asked quietly. He carefully rocked off the bed and walked around to me putting my vanity chair in front of me.

"Cause you're the only cool, non-thirsty girl that I hang out with. Every other girl just wants to smash, it's boring. I want a little adventure."

I must have looked at him weird, because he half smiled and scooted the chair closer. "That's weird. I thought that thirsty would be your type. You know football, jock kinda thing." I chuckled but it must not have been funny to him. He reached forward and lightly grabbed my hand.

"Naw, I'm not into girls like that. I like girls like you. Calm, confident and really just down to earth." He looked up at me and flashed his charming little smile, and my face started to feel hot.

"Is that why you're a virgin? You just don't want to sleep with a thot?" I asked turning my head away. He gave me a puzzled look and flipped the chair around lightly resting his chin against the back beam.

"I'm not a virgin." He stated. "Haven't been since sophomore year."

Now it was my turn to give the puzzled look. "I thought you said you were, remember the carnival." I sat further back on my bed looking more deeply at him.

"Oh, no. I said I was a virgin then. Why? Is that like a deal breaker or something?" He straightened up on the chair and before I could reply my dad came in.

"Hey, mom wants you washed up and down in 5." He glared at Andy, before he fake smiled as if we didn't see his malicious look. "Also keep this open when you have company over please." He left the door open and went back down the stairs.

Andy and I looked at each other and laughed for a moment before we washed our hands and went downstairs.

My mom had the table set and the food had already been placed so we all took a seat after mom opened a bottle of wine.
