My mom and I pulled and slid boxes out of the truck for only a couple of minutes before the neighbors came over to help. It was a boy about 17 or so and his younger sister who looked to be about 16.

"Howdy neighbors? Are you guys new here?" The young girl with blonde curls said cheerfully.

Before I could even answer mom was on top of it. "Oh, heavens no, we lived here what was it Kori like 5 or 6 years ago? Ugh it has been a bit huh. I'm Karra Lai'lin Nova. This is my daughter Kori!"

"Hey nice to meet you guys." I said reaching my hand out to shake the young girls.

"My name is Tia and this is my brother....." Before Tia could say her brothers name he cut her off so he could introduce himself.

"Hi, I'm Jeremy. But most people call me Seven." He reaches for my hand, shaking it lightly then turned to continue talking. "Would you guys like some help?"

"Fuck yes! I'm literally killing my arms with this box of kitchen shit." I said while pointing towards the box that was barely out of the truck.

"Kori'Ander Nova watch your mouth. Please!" Mom scoffed before carrying another box into the house, I laughed because she's know for cursing like a sailor.

Jeremy and his sister started helping right away and before we knew it we were almost done. Mom and I were pretty tired from the drive and unloading so we sat on the porch while Tia and Jeremy tried to pull what was left out of the truck.  We watch for a moment not saying anything, but then mom broke the silence.

"So.... Jeremy's quite the looker right?" She looked at me wiggling her eye brows suggestively, then made a face when I waved her off. "What is he not your type? Do you think you're his type?" She laughed at her comments that I didn't find amusing, then nudged me. "You wanna invite them to eat with us?

"Ugh..... yeah, sure! I can do that." I stood up and dusted the dirt from the porch off of my pants and took a step down.

"Wait that wasn't clear were you saying yes to the food or to him?" She shouted then laughed as she went inside.

"I swear I could kill you sometimes!" I shouted back while walking towards them.

"What was that about?" Tia asked smiling brightly.

"Oh, ugh... She wants to know if you guys wanna stay for dinner. Most likely pizza." I looked over at Jeremy locking eyes for a second before we looked away quickly.

"I'm starved! I would love some pizza." Jeremy said pulling the last box out of the truck, then wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Cool I'll let her know, any preferences or dislikes?" I said walking away.

"Naw we both like pineapple, and Canadian bacon." Tia said following me in with a box of my clothes. "Do you know which school they are going to send you to?" She asked putting the box down in the living room.

I couldn't even answer the question before mom came out the kitchen. "I'm done with the Kitchen and some of the living room! I feel like going out for pizza, dine-in sound good right?" She gave the thumbs up to Tia and I, so we both shook our heads to let her know it was fine.

"... They said I'm going to,.... uhmm, Central High for my last year and a half." We shared a look with each other and she giggled in excitement.
We talked for a brief moment before she realized she had to call and let her mom know that they're going to get pizza with a new friend.

As she walked away to call her parental figures, Jeremy, "aka... Seven" came in with a heavy looking box. I walked over and watched him put it down gently, earning myself a coy and somewhat sexy half smile.

"So....Why is your nickname Seven?" I asked nervously moving to the opening for the kitchen. "Is there like some kind of righteous story behind it or?"

"Oh, it's a pretty embarrassing story. I don't know if you'd want to hear it!" He laughed and rubbed his neck to try and ease his awkwardness. "It's also a little gross." He laughed to himself.

"I can handle it! I survived road side diner food. What could be worse?" I said helping his chuckle.

"So when I was about 5 or 6 years old I was being a trouble maker and was messing with some of my moms smaller pearls. I had put the string of pearls up my nose and when I pulled them back out exactly 7 were stuck inside my nose." We both started to laugh before he continued. " yeah, I couldn't breath and my mom rushed me to the hospital, and when they finally got them out it was 7 o'clock at night. The doctor called me Mr.Seven and it's been my nickname ever since."

We laughed a little more at his story and some of his antics since that incident, causing the mother bear to wonder what we were doing. "Everyone ready to go? " She said walking past me and quote unquote secretly pointing at Seven.

"Your mom is kinda hilarious!" He said mimicking her actions then following her out the front door.

"Please don't encourage her, she already thinks she is one of us, and she doesn't need any more ego." I said jokingly.

"Whatever all your friend back in Cali said that, I'm lit AF!" She shouted in excitement the same way famous wrestler Rick Flair does earning honest laughs from Tia and Seven.

"How extremely embarrassing do you plan on being?" I said planting my face in my hands.

Another minute had passed before Tia came up to the truck. "Well there is good news and bad new. Bad news is mom wants us to bring her something back, and the good news is we can go!" She said jokingly making her brother worry for a second.

"Then what the hell are we waiting for! Let's get this show on the road!" I said happily.
