Story of my Life

Well... I bit it this time!

I got home and went straight to my room. The sadness extremely visible on my face was heavy and kept me from speaking to my mom. It was a mess, and I knew that I fucked up! It wasn't right to go talk to him after finding out about Sev and Layla, and was the most manipulative thing I could have done.

Three weeks had passed and the whole time I was secretly hoping that Andy would call me, but I knew that he wasn't going to and I was right!
I mean it's not like I would have had time to talk anyways. I've been so busy with helping mom, cheer practice, and studying for tests, that I wouldn't have found time to look at my phone anyways.

I knew I had fucked up with Andy, and at this point I just wanted to apologize. Even if he didn't accept it, I just wanted him to hear me say it. Seven I still care about, but I'm hurt. He knew he was sleeping with Layla and didn't tell me the whole time, so I have no words for him and he shouldn't have any for me for a while.

I had spent so much time talking things over in my head that I didn't realize that it was the end of the day. Mrs.Fabrè had already gone over most of what she was talking about and was wrapping up her end of the day spiel.

"Remember Parent-Teacher is tonight, and extra credit will be given to the students who's parents show up. Kori come talk to me when the bell rings. That's it. Have a great rest of your day."

The class Oo'd and Ah'd at the teachers request to speak with me, and when the bell rang they rushed out leaving me to talk with her. "You wanted to chat?" The words came out harsh, and it made her look up at me quizzically.

"Yeah, I just wanted to ask you if you were ready for the good news? We got you approved to test out of these classes so that you can graduate with this years senior class instead of waiting an extra year." She finished typing something on her keyboard then faced me directly.

"Oh,... yeah,....... One hundred and eighty percent. I've been studying not that I need a whole lot of it, but I'm feeling great about it." I pulled my backpack up onto my shoulder and smiled lightly as Mrs.Fabrè tapped her ruby nail against the desk.

She nodded her head softly then pulled out a packet with my name on it. "Here are your guidelines for the tests and the date is written on the first page so be ready." She handed me the packet and turned back to her computer, letting me know that she was finished.

Calmly I walked to my locker and wrote the date on a couple of sticky notes, then attached them to all of my main course books. "Nothing is gonna ruin this for me!" I spoke the words to myself but somehow got a response back.

"Mess what up?" Her voice made my stomach curl, and something told me she knew it did. "I'd love to know what's got my new friend so determined."

"How about you play a game called 'Mind your Business' I think you'd hate it!I'd " I closed my locker and started to walk away, and she didn't stop me. Nino watched as I walked away, and secretly she wanted to see me squirm.

                      "That's no way to talk to your friend!" She shouted back. I disregarded her completely and as I stormed off, quietly trying to calm myself down. I felt a large and very familiar body collide against mine, making me look up and focus.

It was Andy! His hands were balled up tight and his jaw was clenched so tight he could break his teeth at any point. "Oh, great!" The words came out low and it hurt me to hear that, but I brushed it off and kept walking. I could hear the loud sigh he release and figured he was gonna keep going, but I was wrong.

"Kori! Wait!...... Come back." He started to follow after me, but stopped when I didn't acknowledge him. "Fine!" He yelled before rubbing his face in frustration.
