The weekend was over, and I was dreading it. I hate introducing myself, I would much rather just slip in and become another face in the crowd of student. New schools are terrible, mainly because the first time you meet someone leaves an impact on them, the first moments with new people are always remembered and if you don't make a good impression it's all downhill from there.

Even still here I was! Standing infront of the large double doors that called to me, taunting me, slowly coaxing me into this building of judgement. As I went to open the door a familiar voice came from behind me.

"Hey, need some help? Sometimes the door can be tricky." Seven joked, yanking the door open and ushering me in. He laughed a little before slowly walking through the entrance.

"Is it weird that I'm nervous? Oh, god." I sighed before wiping the sweat off of my hands and looked up at &Sev anxiously.

"I get it, new school, new jerks, new adults who will assume you know nothing or everything. High expectations, but very low everything else." He flung his arm over my shoulder and walked with me towards the cafeteria. "Let me introduce you to some people."

I nodded my head and continued walking with him making mindless conversation that seemed to really make him laugh, until we walked to a table full of people all different in every way.

"Guys, this is Kori she just moved here from Calabasas, help her out when you see her around if you could." Seven took a seat next to a cute girl with freckles, and kissed her cheek. "Kori, this beauty here is Layla my girlfriend. That dingle berry over there is Kai. Spicy little asian girl next to Kai is Nino, and this handsome brooding Devil right here is Alec."

I smiled and waved to everyone taking in their features and memorizing their names, or at least trying to. "Yeah, I'm Tay'lin Kori'ander Nova but most people call me Kori. I lived in Cheyenne when I was like ten or eleven but we moved and this is my first time being back since then."
I looked over the whole table one more time noticing that Alec hadn't taken his eyes off me until I made eye contact then he turned and looked at everything else.

I smiled and waved walking away and heading towards the main office to get my schedule and my locker number. It only took me a couple minutes to get all of my stuff from the office, and I was excited that I had Baking first period and P.E right after on "A" days. I have a free period after lunch and then end with AP Calc last period. I went to my locker and somehow managed to put in my combination with no problems.

Things were going well and there was only 5 or so minutes left till class so I figured I would look around a bit more. As I walked down the P.E hallway three guys came out of the men's locker room cheering and making inside jokes with each other, until one of them noticed me looking at the large trophy case built into the wall.

"Bro. Who is that little hottie?" The guy pointed to me and all of them walked over to "introduce" themselves and by that I mean to pester me.

"You new here?" One asked leaning himself against the wood fraud part of the wall.

"Yeah, it's my first day!" I said taking a small step back from the wall.

"That's pretty cool. Do you like sports or something you were looking at our Trophy case pretty hard." The other said slowly looking me up and down.

"Not really, I mean I'm a cheerleading. That's about it." I went to take another step back because the first two boys got closer, but ran into someone else.

"You'd look real good in a uniform, are you gonna try out? I don't think I'd mind you cheering me on!" The last one said. I took a step to the side, so that I could try to walk away but was grabbed by the first one.

"Where are you going we're trying to talk to you?" He let go of my arm and stood directly in front of me.

"I didn't mean to be rude, I was just watching the time, I don't want to be late on the first day you know! Bad impression and all!" I pulled in an unsteady breathe and readied myself for what I assumed would be a punch, but was surprised when they all put their hands out to formally meet me.
I shook their hands one by one and after they introduced themselves they agreed to let me get to class. "Thanks, and it was nice meeting you guys." I said before rushing towards the Home EC region of the school.

Walking into the classroom, I found a nice spot that gave me a good view of the board up front but also kept me at a good distance in the back so that I wouldn't be noticed. When the teacher came in she did roll and at the end realized that I never said here!

"Excuse me young lady what's your name?" She walked from the front to where I was sitting and looked at her roster.

"Ugh... I'm Kori,....." she looked over the clip board with a puzzled expression before looking back at me. "Oh! sorry Tylin." I said quietly.

"No, it says right here my new student is.... Hold on one second." She looked at her roster one more time, then back to me. "My note says transfer student name is Tylin Kori'ander Nova." She looked at a note on her roster then walked over to her desk to check the notes she got this morning. When she finished reading them she smiled and quietly checked me off on her roster.

The day went on the same way. All of my new teachers were confused shocked by my presence and appearance. They weren't informed of my gender identity before hand so they would do roll, check in with the office, and I would move on to the next objective, after lunch I was tired of unwanted questions and persecuting eyes.

The very exactly thing I thought was going to happen did happen and that didn't really help make me feel more comfortable. Eventually the bell sounded, signaling the end of the school day and I was more than ready to go home.
I swiftly made my way back to my locker and put my new textbooks, supplies, and other class tools away grabbed my bag and started towards the large double doors. "Free, finally free." I exaggerated my exhaustion from the day, stretching my arms up, and starting my walk home.
