The next day was the worst day of my life. Bukod sa natigilan ang ibang guest sa Hacienda ng mga Fuego dahil sa papalapit na bagyo, nabiktima pa ako ng malakas na ulan nang sinubukan kong ibalik ang kabayong nakatakas sa stables ng mga Fuego.

It was all fun and games riding the horse until it raised its body and dumped me on the mud.

Walang nangahas tumulong sa akin dahil sa lakas ng bagyo. Kahit ang mga trahabador na siyang dapat gumawa ng trabahong ginawa ko ay hindi nakatulong dahil masyado silang high maintenance at ayaw mabasa ng ulan.

They are actually pretty useful for the Hacienda but not the horses. Ang mga dapat mag-alaga ng kabayo ay nagpapahinga at ang iba naman ay nasa plantation pa. This horse got loose and I was the only one to save the vast land of Fuegos from destruction so I became the hero and fetch the horse only to be thrown on the expensive mud of the Fuegos.

"Couz, you look ugly. Ay panget ka pala talaga."

Dahil sa inis ko sa pang-aasar niya ay inangat ko ang saya at inahampas sa pantalon niya. It caused a stain on his pants that made me smile. Nawala lang ang ngiti na iyon nang makita si Calix at Tulips.

Be happy, Vivienne! You wanted it, right? Sinusunod lang ni Calix ang gusto mo tapos ngayon ay mag-iinarte ka?

"What's with the sudden gloomy day? It matches your frown, Vivienne."

Napatingin ako kay Lucas na ngayon ay dala ang mug na puno ng kape habang umiinom. I rolled my eyes and took his mug. I sipped on it and felt that my tongue almost burned because of the heat. Ibinalik ko agad sakanya ang kape habang nakahawak ang isang kamay sa bibig.

"Whatever, ugly man. Atleast I need to have a gloomy weather to look awful. While you, you do it every single day of your life that I've known you looking like a gorilla."

He raised his one hand as if surrendering before laughing.

"Your cousin doesn't look alright. Is it just me or did his mood change after the alleged kidnap?"

"It's not alleged, Lucas. He said he has an evidence. Besides, I donmt want to dwell with his problems. Let him be."

"You're a vicious cousin."

"No. I'm wicked."

"Parehas lang naman. You just wanted to click your tongue, you evil vixen."

Umirap ako sakanya. One of the maids finally thought of what's happening and gave me a towel. Nakasampay sakany ang isang kulay pink na robe. Kumunot ang noo ko nang dahil roon.

"May I have the robe instead? It's cold. And since I spared you the trouble of a feral horse, I might as well get the luxurious benefit, right, cousin?" Sabi ko sabay baling kay Archer.

"Right."

"Ay, pasensya na po Senyorita Eunice. Nakalaan na po kasi ito sa isa pang bisita. Kukuhanan ko nalang po kayo ng bago."

I nodded and followed where she went. Tila ba binuhusan ako nang malamig na tubig nang ibigay niya iyon kay Calix at isuot iyon ni Calix kay Tulips na hindi naman nababasa. They are putside the house but they are not as wet as me!

"Oh, that one's a confusing moment. I thought that Calliego's into you?" Biglang singit ulit ni Lucas. Inirapan ko ito. "I gave way for him and here I'll see him flirt with someone else? Ho-ho, not on my watch." Tumawa siya ulit.
