Chapter 6: Broken Arm
Sherlock
Sherlock fell to the ground, feeling his arm break. The pain didn't stop at the arm; it spread through his entire body, leaving the impression that the whole arm had shattered.
"Sherlock!" John ran down to the bottom of the stairs, kneeling beside Sherlock.
"Sorry! I'll call the Nurse!" Lestrade ran away to the direction of the infirmary, leaving the two boys.
"You know, you could've done the shooting somewhere else." John chuckled.
"I lost balance because you were making faces," Sherlock said.
"It's not my fault that I wanted to make you laugh!" John said, holding his arm.
Sherlock winced at John's touch, and pushed his hand away with his good arm.
"Sorry. Let me take a look at that." John helped Sherlock take off his black trench coat and rolled his sleeves up.
"It's fractured-stating the fact you were on the top. But your upper arm is just bruised," John said. "And it will probably take four to five months for your arm to heal- no need for surgery."
"I'm great at deductions, but you are fantastic at medicine. You'll be a great Doctor, John." Sherlock liked the way he said John. It rolled of his tongue in a perfect way without having to get disgusted of the human himself.
"I still need to find a good Uni and I don't know if my parents could ever support my schooling. I would need to get a scholarship," John said.
"Sherlock! What happened to you?" Nurse Williams ran to Sherlock, his face filled with worry and absolute fury.
"I fell down the stairs," Sherlock replied, his face masking his emotions.
Nurse Williams sighed and looked at John and Lestrade. "Help him walk to the top. He could have sprained his leg too."
The two obliged and watched Sherlock limp up the stairs, him being a man by acting cool about the pain.
"Okay. First, why did you even fall in the first place?" Nurse Williams inquired.
"It's a thing for Literature. I'm supposed to be Romeo," Sherlock said disgustedly. "Romeo was such a moron for lusting over a girl he'd just met."
"He couldn't control his dick," Lestrade said. "Juliet must've seen his boner and thought, if she sees a man's boner, it's true love."
Nurse Williams frowned and mumbled something about 'The Doctor met Shakespeare once', but Sherlock ignored it and didn't criticize the man about it.
"Then who's Juliet?" Nurse Williams inquired as he opened the door for Sherlock.
"Julie Watersons; she's fairly pretty, but not that much," Sherlock said. "Lin wanted to be Juliet, though. Julie won. So now, she's just a maid."
"She wanted to change it to seducing maid though," John reminded him.
"She would've been an amazing seducing maid then. I mean, she managed to sleep with Herald," Lestrade said.
"The asexual popular guy? Wow," John whistled.
Sherlock rolled his eyes as the two left the infirmary with a quick short wave. But he did admit, he would have appreciated company to keep him entertained.
"I'm going to need to bring you to a Hospital. Should I call your parents?" Nurse Williams asked.
"... Call my brother." Sherlock hated his brother, but he had no choice. His parents would just convince him to go back home, but Mycroft would understand. He hoped.
The Nurse just sighed and from his actions, Sherlock guessed he knew his brother.
"He already knew you fell and is on his way to the Hospital," Nurse Williams said. "Your parents won't know about this."
Sherlock almost sighed in relief. But then again, it was Mycroft.
