Chapter 17: Freak

Sherlock

Sherlock really wished John would tell him what was going on. Maybe like the way he did at the cliff. But unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Sighing in frustration, Sherlock placed his hands in the pockets of his coat, thinking about John. Why couldn't John just tell him what was going on? Why the fuck was he acting like a retard around him? Even more than a retard. A fucking lovesick puppy.

"I hate everyone," Sherlock said.

"Good thing. I was worried you'd started to love."

Sherlock turned around and glared. "Mycroft?"

Mycroft simply smiled at him. And Sherlock knew, when Mycroft smiled, something bad was bound to happen.

"Have you seen John around? I really need to speak to him about... importantmatters." Mycroft looked around, trying to find the boy, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Around." Sherlock shrugged.

"Well," Mycroft checked his watch. "You might want to check Watsons. It's a drug store. There may also surprising people there."

Sherlock frowned as his brother left, trying to figure out what he just said. There were no drug stores nearby and he had never heard of a store called 'Watsons'. So what the hell did Mycroft mean?

Watsons=John?
Drug store=John is drugged??
Surprising people=he'll meet a surprising person???

It wasn't much but it was all he got. He decided to trust his instincts and try to find John; to see if he was safe and sound.

He saw Lisa and Joshua sitting on the bridge and decided to ask them for John's whereabouts.

"Hey guys," Sherlock slowly approached them, a small, sociable smile on his face. "Have you seen John around?"

"Sorry, no. But we did see him with some bloke," Lisa said.

Sherlock felt dread settle in him, feeling his stomach churn.

"What did he look like?" Sherlock asked.

"Slicked back hair- too much, I think," Joshua said. "Wore a suit and tie and well. He looked like trouble."

"Fuck!" Sherlock ran away leaving them without any kind of explanation. He just really needed to save John.

Someone put their hand on Sherlock's shoulder. "Sherlock? What's wrong?"

"Not now, Peter." Sherlock was too worried about John to realise that he was about to let his secret slip. "Just go away and make plans on how to get John to return your feelings."

Sherlock didn't realise Peter stumbled away from him with a horrified face.

"What did you say?" Peter whispered.

Sherlock looked at him, not able to resist the temptation of deducing out in the open.

"It's obvious. From the way you look at John, anyone can see you adore him. I mean, your pants should be a huge give away!" Sherlock said, daunting him.

"Why were you looking at my crotch, freak?!" Sherlock felt like someone had just punched him right in the gut. "I definitely don't have a crush on John and I am not gay! Maybe you have a crush on him!"

"Fuck off, Peter!" Sherlock said, trying to gain his confidence back.

"Oh no. Once the school knows about this, you're going to be ruined. Tomorrow, everyone will know that you're a freak!" Peter said. "Anderson was right. I shouldn't have gotten close to you."

Once Peter left, Sherlock felt dizzy. He couldn't breathe. Tears blurred his vision, but he didn't want them to spill openly. He couldn't face school tomorrow. He didn't want to face the whole ordeal.

All his life, he'd been called names, been a loner and a freak. And now, he had a fresh start. He had real friends he could rely on, but he just had to screw up. He just had to burst.

But gathering his thoughts, putting armour on again, he sorted out his priorities. First, he had to find John. He could deal with the freak thing later.

A/N: POOR SHERLY! HOLY SHIT I CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE THIS GUYS COME HUG ME OMG IT ACTUALLY COMES TO THE POINT WHERE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR HEART WAS STABBED BUT YOU DONT CRY! THIS IS AMAZEBALLS!
