KIEFLY Wedding
Thirdy is not the type of person who cries, but he is a person who fights.
His family has been in Amsterdam for the past 12 years. Siya lang yung nanatili sa Pinas because he believed that his career would be successful in the PH, and he's not wrong. His restaurant will open next week kaya uuwi din ng Pilipinas ang mga Ravena.
Today is his brother's wedding. Aly and Kiefer have been in a relationship for almost 10 years, and everyone in the family knew that they were the ones for each other.
Dani is the one who picked him up.
"Kuya! I missed you!" Dani shouted when she saw Thirdy.
"I missed you, twin!"
"Weh, parang unhappy naman."
"Basted eh."
"Oh, Kuya Van told everyone already that you went to see someone in Africa. She sounds so kind and heroic, though."
"She is."
"Drama King. Kwento while I'm driving ah."
Thirdy went inside his sister's car and nagkwento habang papunta sila sa wedding venue.
"Everyone is doing their makeup and getting ready. Dun yung room ng groomsmen." Dani pointed sa room on the left side.
"I wanna see Ate Ly and Mom."
"Oh, okay. Let's go. Iwan mo na luggage mo outside our room ah."
Everyone's dolled up.
"My Thirdy!" his mom shouted and hugged him. Thirdy hugged her so tight and kissed his mom's hair.
"Hmm, you owe us a lot of kwento. Did you bring her?"
"Basted siya," Dani shouted for everyone in the room to hear.
"Wow, thanks, twin ah."
His mom stared at him.
"I love you, Kuya," she whispered to her son.
"Enough drama. Where's the beautiful bride?"
Thirdy went to his Ate Ly and teased her.
"You look weird. I like you with no makeup on," Thirdy said.
"I hate you. You're late! Bihis na!" Ate Ly said habang nakayakap si Thirds sa kanya.
"Okay, fine. I'll dress up na."
He said goodbye to the people in the room and closed the door.
"Try to be happy and forget about the pain muna," Thirdy said to himself.
He opened the groomsmen's room and saw that everyone was still not dressed.
"Hoy. Late na kayong lahat."
They all shouted, "THIRDY!" "BRO!"
He smiled at them widely and hugged his brother and his dad. The boys were watching football kaya hindi pa sila nagbibihis.
"I'll shower muna and you guys should seriously get ready," paalam ni Thirdy.
The boys just nodded at him.
After he showered, he wore his suit and tie and went back to the living room. The boys were now dressed up as well.
"What's up, lover boy?" Van greeted him.
"Negative, pre."
"Weh?" Natatawang sagot ni Van.
"Mangaasar pa."
"Akala ko kasama mo na dito eh."
"Akala ko din eh."
"Wag sumuko, pre. She'll come around."
"Nope. Will never give up on her."
The wedding is already starting. Everyone's so excited for Kiefer and Aly. I Found You by Kina Grannis and Imagine Future played as Aly walked towards Kief. Everyone is sobbing now.
Alyssa is indeed beautiful in that white gown. Everything is magical.
At the reception, everyone is now having fun. The sun is slowly going down. There are people dancing. He's watching the couples on the dance floor while the colors of the sky are doing their magic.
"You'll find your person too, Kuya," Dani said, surprising Thirdy.
"Found her already, pero hindi niya pa ko kayang paglaban."
"You're not sure about that."
"Ikaw ba, may boyfriend na???" Thirdy asked na nakataas ang kilay.
"Nah. Busy sa med school," Dani said.
"She's a doctor too."
"Ahuh." Dani smiled because her kuya sounds so in love.
"And she smiles so bright when she sees crabs."
"Go on," Dani said.
"But she doesn't want me to get hurt."
"Huh?" Dani asked.
"She told me that if she allows me to be beside her, she'll only end up hurting me."
"But Kuya, love will always hurt. The only thing you can do is choose someone who'll go through the inevitable pain with you and love them even more."
"Well, I guess sometimes, the people you choose won't choose you back."
They both chuckled, but Thirdy felt tears forming in his eyes again. He wiped them immediately.
"I should be happy, but it really hurts, Dans." He hugged his sister. Dani hugged her kuya to comfort him.
Always Been You by Marie Hines played and Dani squealed.
"I love this song, Kuya! Dance with me."
Thirdy chuckled and danced with his sister. They found their parents on the dance floor.
"Hindi ba masakit paa niyong dalawa?" Dani teased their parents.
"Palit partners. I miss Kuya," Mozzy said, so they did.
The wedding is full of laughter, kilig, and love.
When Thirdy got tired of dancing and pangungulit sa lahat ng tao, he got a glass of champagne near the buffet area and Van went near him.
"Akala ko ba wala kang date?" Van asked.
"Wala nga. Nangaasar ka na naman. Eto, champagne! Masarap."
"Mas masarap tingnan yung view ko. Look."
Thirdy stared at his friend but followed what he said. He turned around to look at where Van was looking.
There she is.
His Angel.
He gave Van the glass of champagne he was holding and went to her.
"I'm a party crasher. Damn it," she whispered to him.
Thirdy just stared at her.
"Nanaginip ba ko?"
Bea chuckled and hugged him.
Then Down the Aisle (Acoustic) by Issa Rodriguez started playing.
"We have to dance. This is a cute song," Bea whispered while they were still hugging.
Thirdy and Bea went to the dance floor.
Everyone was smiling while watching them.
They didn't even realize that they were the only ones on the dance floor.
