Mariane texted her saying that the boys are drinking.
"Should I go there?" Bea asked nung tinawagan niya si Mariane.
"No na, Bei. He's not ready ata to see you. Just give him time. You know naman Thirdy eh. Hindi ka matitiis niyan."
Bea sighed. "Sana."
"Nope. I'm sure. Tampo lang yan."
And Bea told her friend na tawagan agad siya if Thirdy gets crazy drunk at pinipilit magdrive. Mariane just agreed and put down the phone.
It was a silent inuman session.
Bea can't enjoy the movie that her family is watching because she can't stop thinking about Thirdy. By this time, she's already thinking,
"Aalis pa ba ko?"
But she knows that she needs to finish her papers in NY before coming back home.
It was 3am when he arrived sa bahay niya. He's not drunk, but he's a little tipsy, and as he opened the door, he's slightly hoping he'll see Bea waiting for him.
"Tanga. Aalis na nga siya mamaya, diba?" he disappointedly said to himself.
He changed clothes and started to type a message for her, but before he could finish and send it, he fell asleep.
His finger accidentally clicked send at 10am when he shifted his position sa kama. He continued to sleep soundly.

Thirdy woke up with tears in his eyes. He wiped them with his hand and saw that he had sent the message already. He read it a few more times.
"Ugh, so emotional, Ferdinand," inis na sabi nito sa sarili.
He checked the time, which made him jump in panic. It is already 11am.
Fuck.
He dialed Loel's number.
"Lasing ka na naman, no?" Loel greeted him.
"Shit, shit. Nakaalis na siya?"
"Yeah. Kanina pa. 10am ang flight, hindi 10am pupunta ng airport. Kainis to."
"Ughh."
"Anyways, nasakin yung singsing."
"Huh? I texted her eh."
"Oh, well, what time mo ba tinext? She turned off her phone around 8am, maybe."
Thirdy checked what time niya nasend yung message, and it says na 10am na nga niya nasend.
"Fuck. I'm such a failure."
"Hindi naman. OA neto. Kunin mo sa bahay ko yung singsing."
"Yeah, I'll get it in a few."
"Bring food, please."
But Thirdy ended the call bago pa siya hingian ni Loel ng kung anong pagkain.
When he arrived sa bahay ni Loel, Ate Joan opened the door for him.
"Salamat, Ate Joan. Saan si Loel?"
"Ay, nandon po sa kwarto ni Ma'am Bea. May hinahanap po ata."
Thirdy nodded and said, "Sige, Ate. Puntahan ko po. Pakidala na lang po sa kitchen."
Inabot niya ang pagkaing dala niya from The Grid.
He went upstairs and saw na bukas nga yung door sa room ni Bea. He went inside and called him.
"Loel?"
"Bro, wait. Nasa closet ako."
Thirdy sat on her bed. The smell of her room made him smile.
Loel went out of the closet na pawis na pawis.
"Bakit nakangiti ka magisa?"
"Bakit sobrang pawis na pawis ka?"
"Dad wants me to look for the titulo ng bahay ni Bea. She wants to sell it eh, pero di ko makita."
"Oh. Why daw?"
"I don't know. Inarte niya lang. Pag nagbati din kayo, hindi niya din ibebenta yon."
"Siguro wala na talaga siyang plans to be with me," Thirdy said sadly.
Tumayo siya at naglakad palabas ng kwarto.
"Tara na. Gutom na ko," he added before tuluyang makalabas ng kwarto.
Loel is quiet lang. He knows his friend is hurting, but so is his sister.
"Hindi ko kayong maintindihang dalawa," reklamo ni Loel habang pababa ng stairs.
"Makakahanap ka din ng girlfriend mo."
"So girlfriend mo pa din siya?"
Thirdy stopped and faced him.
"Loel, fiancée ko na siya. Okay ka lang ba?"
"She thought you broke up with her."
"I sent her a message. Mababasa niya naman siguro yon pag open ng phone niya."
"Oh, eh bakit ba kasi late ka nagising?"
"Uminom kami nila Van."
"Di nagyaya."
"Edi she'll know nasan ako."
Thirdy sat on the couch habang si Loel nakatayo lang sa harap niya.
"Chef, I'm not saying this kasi kapatid ko siya. I love the both of you, pero sa tingin ko you guys should talk. Masyado kayong overthinkers parehas. Kailangan niyong matuto magayos ng bagay kapag nasisira, hindi yung ganyan. Hindi pa nga sira, gusto niyo na parehas palitan."
"Hindi ko naman papalitan. OA mo, Loel."
"Ang akin lang, bago mo bitawan yung isang bagay o isang problema sa isang relasyon, pagusapan muna. Hindi yung sasabihin na okay lang kahit hindi naman. Pag may sirang bagay, kailangang icheck anong sira kasi baka pwede pa ayusin. Kayo kasing dalawa, pag nagaaway, konting lambing, okay na. Kaya ayun, kapag nagkaroon ng another problem, naiipon yung sama ng loob. Communication is the key, Chef!"
Thirdy knows he's right. He smiled.
"Ang daming alam. May jowa ka?"
"Wala. Seeing the both of you na ganyan? No thanks. I'm fine."
Thirdy giggled.
"Asan na yung singsing?"
"Ay, oo nga pala."
He went sa living area to get something sa table at inabot kay Thirdy ang singsing.
"Ang panget," Thirdy said, looking sa singsing.
"Gago, maganda naman ah. Bet nga ni Mommy."
"No. Ang panget kasi hindi niya suot."
"YUUUUCK. Tara na, kumain na tayo."
Loel cringed, but he smiled because he knows that Bea is blessed to have Chef Thirdy around.
He lied. Seeing both of them in love, even if they're having problems, makes him more hopeful about what will come for him in the future.
The two went to the kitchen and helped Ate Joan prepare the food.
