"Why didn't you tell me you're coming home? Edi sana tomorrow ko na lang ginawa yung anniversary party para andito ka," Thirdy said while they're driving pauwi ng house niya.
"Surprise nga, love eh," Bea said, rolling her eyes.
"Thank you for going home. Until when ka dito?"
"I don't know yet," Bea said sadly.
"Heyyy, ano ka ba? I'm okay. Sanay na. Don't worry about me. Natanong ko lang naman," Thirdy assured her.
Hinawakan nito ang kamay ng nobya at hinalikan ito.
Bea smiled at him.
"Thank you for staying, Thirdy!"
"Drama naman! Wait, may something sa kamay mo," Thirdy said habang tinaas ang kamay ni Bea at tinitingnan.
"HUH? What?"
"Wala pang singsing? Bagal naman ng boyfriend mo!" seryosong sabi ni Thirdy.
Bea slapped his arm at kinuha ang kamay niya while Thirdy is now laughing.
When Thirdy reached his house, bumaba silang dalawa ng kotse, kinuha nila ang luggage ni Bea sa compartment, at dumiretso na sa loob.
Thirdy's house is aesthetically pleasing. Very manly ang color scheme, and it is not that big. He'll always say na ayaw niya ng sobrang malaking bahay since lagi naman siyang magisa. Bea stays here kapag nasa Philippines siya, except na lang when Thirdy isn't around or nagaway sila. Manang and some helpers only go sa bahay ni Bei once a week to clean and maintain the house, pero hindi naman doon nauwi si Bei. It's too big for her now na naranasan niya tumira sa house ni Thirdy.
He opened his TV because usually Bea goes first sa bathroom, but today she told him,
"I'll rest muna before taking a bath. Una ka na and call me na lang pag done ka na."
Thirdy nodded at dumiretso sa room niya.
Bea opened her luggage and nilabas lahat ng cookies she brought for Thirdy and Det. She placed them in the refrigerator and then humiga siya sa sofa while watching TV.
After a few more minutes, lumabas si Thirdy. He went out ng room to call Bea, pero she's already snoring sa sofa while the TV is on.
"Aww. My sweetcheeks is tired."
He gave her a peck na kinagising naman ni Bea.
"Hey. You done? I'll take a shower na so we can sleep na," Bea said.
"Pwede naman kahit wag na. Change clothes na lang. You look so tired eh," Thirdy said.
"Nah. I need to. There are cookies sa ref," Bea said, which made Thirdy so excited.
His girlfriend just chuckled and dumiretso na sa bathroom.
While waiting for Bea to finish, Det called him.
"I heard that she's here?"
"Yes, Ma. She surprised me. Daan po kami dyan tomorrow. She bought us cookies."
"Yey! Finally! Is she asleep na?"
"No po. Naliligo."
"Huh? Bakit di kayo sabay?" Det jokingly said.
"Ma naman," sagot ni Thirdy na natatawa.
"Joke! I want apo na ah. Yon, hindi yon joke." Medyo paulit-ulit na tong sinasabi ni Det kay Thirdy.
"Pag tapos na po ng kasal."
"Ikakasal ko na kayo bukas."
Thirdy just laughed, and they said goodnight to each other.
Paglabas ni Bea, she saw her man na nakaupo sa stool sa bar area ng kitchen. Tumabi siya sa kanya at ipinatong ang ulo niya sa shoulder ng nobyo.
"Not yet done?" she asked.
"You don't want ba? Here's milk, oh! Dunk the cookie."
"Nah, nagtoothbrush na ko."
"Oh, okay."
Thirdy finished the cookie he's eating, at nung tumayo na siya to wash the glass sa sink, dahan-dahan niyang inalis ang ulo ni Bea.
"Hugas lang ako ng baso," paalam niya.
"Babe, where's Nike?" she asked nung naalala ang baby nila.
"Oh, I left him kay Manang. Kunin na lang natin tomorrow pag dala natin ng cookies ni Mommy."
"Oh, I missed him already," Bea said sadly.
After washing the glass and brushing his teeth, Thirdy went to her and kissed her hair.
"Akin ka lang muna tonight."
"Selfish." Bea smirked, at pumunta na sila sa room to rest.
Before they finally sleep, the couple will always pray together. They will hold each other's hands while their eyes are closed and talk to God nang naririnig ng isa't isa. Thirdy will go first, then Beatriz will follow.
After talking to Him, nahiga na sila in their usual positions, and Thirdy spoke.
"Goodnight, sweetcheeks! I love you."
"Night! Be quiet."
"Last question," pangaasar ni Thirdy.
"Fine, go."
"Wala pa bang go signal?"
Bea chuckled.
"I love you."
And Thirdy just smiled.
"She's still not ready," Thirdy thought.
