SAME NIGHT DIFFERENT FEELS
After letting tears take over him, he sighed. Pero maybe Loel is right, sobrang magugulatin na niya. He almost got a mini heart attack when someone knocked on his window.
Beatriz De Leon knocked on his window. Hindi niya alam if she saw him crying. He wiped his eyes before buksan ang pinto, and mabilis namang sumakay si Bea ng kotse niya. Thirdy is shocked.
"Uhm. Bakit?" he asked while Bea is putting her seatbelt on.
"Oh wait, do you want me to drive? I don't think sad people should drive," Bea said.
At nung aalisin na ni Bea yung seatbelt niya, Thirdy held her hand. It seems like their touch will always be something warm, something that you can't describe but has the power to command butterflies to go into their stomachs.
"I'll drive. Tell me where to," Thirdy said.
Bea just nodded, and they drove palabas ng village ng bahay ni Loel.
She's texting someone while they're driving. Sobrang curious na ni Thirdy.
"Maybe may bago na," that's what he's thinking.
"Don't look at me. Drive safely," sabi ni Bea while she's still texting.
"Sorry," Thirdy said nang mahina.
Bea is the one who's staring now.
"That's Manang. I told her we'll come and that maybe she can prepare anything," Bea explained.
"Oh, okay. Saaan tayo punta?"
"Actually, you know where it is na. You went there na."
"So san nga?"
"My house."
"Don't be silly. Hindi pa ko nakakapunta sa bahay mo," Thirdy said.
"You delivered Baked Crabs."
At napahinto sa pagdrive si Thirdy at tumingin sa kanya.
"What are you doing????!!!! Drive!" Bea exclaimed.
Thirdy followed and said, "Bahay mo yon? Tangina. I've been looking for you for the past month, tapos nagdeliver lang pala ko sayo ng crabs."
He said that nang mabilis, hoping that Bea wouldn't understand.
"Rapper?" she asked.
"Umaasa lang na masyadong mabilis para maintindihan mo."
"Hey, I'm good at Tagalog na!" she exclaimed.
Thirdy just chuckled.
Habang papunta sa bahay niya, Bea asked, "Kumain ka na ba? Do you want us to get food? I don't think Manang can prepare dinner pa eh."
"What do you want?"
"Is Manam still open?"
He smiled. "No, not anymore."
"Oh, okay. Jollibee?"
"Uhm, you know what? I'll cook for you. Punta na lang tayong grocery."
And Loel is right, that's a good thing to do. Remind her how love should taste.
Pagpasok nila ng house ni Bea, Thirdy is so amazed by how big it is.
"Magisa ka lang dito for the whole week?" Thirdy asked.
"Yep."
"Wow."
"I'll prepare the table, you cook in the kitchen?" she asked.
