House Blessing
The house blessing started at 3:00pm and at around 4:30, the real party started. Loel made gathered all his friends, mga Valdez, Thirdy, all the staff of the Grid, some family relatives, and of course his family.
Everyone is enjoying the food by The Grid, Loel also planned an outdoor movie later at 8pm as an ending part of the party. Hindi naman mapigilan ang mga tanong kay Loel na "Where's Beatriz?" kahit mga staff ng The Grid was excited makita si Chef at Doc na magkita. Ever since Bea ate sa The Grid niloloko na ng staff si Thirdy about it.
"Sir, she looks so fine compared to the last time I saw her" Kristine telling her boss after Bea left that night.
"Why didn't you call me?" Masungit na sabi ni Thirdy
"Sir Loel texted me. So ayon" Tumungo nalang si Tine because alam niyang Thirdy is dying to see her.
The movie is starting already at hindi parin nadating si Bea. The movie is Remember Me, a 2010 American Drama film.
Loel's garden is aesthetically designed for this kind of activity. He prepared bean bags, outdoor sofas and even beds for this outdoor filmviewing.
While watching the movie, self service na ang popcorn and drinks para makapagpahinga ang staff ng The Grid. Noong naubusan si Mariane ng popcorn pinasa niya ang lalagyan kay Van and whispered "get me more" pero Van passed it to Thirdy and whispered "lagyan mo di ka naman nanunuod kakaisip kung dadating yung isa" napatawa si Thirdy because Van is right. He stood up and went to the table where the popcorn is located.
Loel went to him "Nagpopcorn ka? I thought you find popcorn corny" hindi kasi sangayon si Thirdy sa idea about outdoor film viewing.
"Hindi na siguro siya pupunta" Thirdy said finally nilabas niya yung nasa isip niya.
"Yea. Can't stop thinking about it ba?"
"About her bro" He corrected his friend
"I told you bro, show her na you get tired too. Don't say na okay lang na she left."
Thirdy just nodded and delivered Mariane's popcorn to the couple. Nagpaalam nadin siya kay Van.
"She won't come. Uwi na ko" Sabi ni Thirdy kay Van at tumango lang si Van kasi climax na ng movie.
Dahan dahan siyang umalis ng garden, hinahanap niya si Loel pero msyadong madilim na at hindi siya makita.
"Who you looking for?"
Thirdy was stopped hearing that voice. Dahan dahan siyang lumingon
"Owshit Tita Det. You sound like Bea" hawak hawak ni Thirdy ang dibdib niya bc of kaba.
"Chill Thirdy. Who are you looking for ba?"
"si Loel po , Tita. papaalam po ako. Medyo ramdam ko na po pagod eh I need to rest" explain ni Thirdy.
Det just smiled "Nasa loob siya ng bahay. Sa Living area. Go there."
"Okay tita. Bye!" at bumeso na siya kay Det at pumunta sa living area ng bahay ni Loel.
Thirdy is browsing his phone habang naglalakad papuntang living area.
"Bro"
napatingin naman si Thirdy sa tumawag sakanya "Loel, ano ba? Magina nga kayo ni Tita Det! papatayin niyo ko sa kaba."
Loel is laughing "Ganon ba talaga pag magjowa nagiging kapareha ng jowa sa level ng pagiging magugulatin."
"Excuse you, ex jowa" someone said from Thirdy's back. This time sure na siya that Bea is the one who said it. Hindi na niya kailangan tingnan. Thirdy didn't look back at tumingin lang siya kay Loel na natatawa na sa pinapanuod niya. Bea went to her brother and said
"Congrats, bro!" at bumeso sakanya
"Hello Chef, please tell me may leftovers. I'm starving" She said
sobrang casual ng pagkakasabi ni Bea, parang walang kaba, lungkot, or even kilig. Gutom lang makikita mo sa kanyang mata. Nakatingin lang si Thirdy sakanya habang sinasabi niya yon.
Loel is the one who break the silence "Wala ng leftovers pero I think Chef Thirdy can cook for you"
"Oh really?" Bea asked
this time Thirdy needs to wake up. "Uhm sorry. I can't. I have some stuff to do. Maybe next time, Beatriz" Thirdy said calmly trying to hide everything he feels. Trying to hide how hard it is to talk to her.
Bea just nodded and said "Oh okay! I'll go to Mom already! See you around, Thirdy!"
noong nakalayo na si Bea, Thirdy sighed
"Goood job" yakap yakap ni Loel si Thirdy but the guy didn't move. Kahit siya he can't believe what he just said.
"Uwi na ko, Loel" He said
"Okay ingat." Loel said and broke the hug
Palabas na si Thirdy sa gate when Loel shouted "Ingat sa drive wag tulala"
"Fuck you, Loel" Thirdy chuckled now
He went to his car opened his spotify play Way to Break my Heart by Ed Sheeran and cried.
