Maya's Pov
" What are you doing ?"
I turned around looking to Mr. Grimes before laughing to the two people balancing themselves on the train beams for a candy bar. We have been walking for already three days now and had to place some fun into it. It was beginning to be tedious walking all day on it and killing walkers here and there.
" Carl's winning a bet." I announced standing in front of Michonne and Carl eating a three musketeers since I beat Carl the last time.
" In his dreams." Michonne laughed.
"I'm still on." Carl said before almost falling.
I laughed." You spoke too soon, wise guy." I teased taking another bite out of my candy bar.
" This might go on a while. Maybe we can speed this up ?" Mr. Grimes asked walking over.
" Yeah, you're right. Shouldn't be fooling around. We should probably, Carl !" Michonne yelled trying to scare him, but fell herself off the beam. Carl laughed hopping off the beam and looking to her.
" I win. Pay up." Carl laughed while Michonne slowly reached in her pocket and pulled out the last two candy bars." Is that really the last Big Cat ?" Carl asked before reaching over and taking it.
" Oh, come on."
Carl laughed taking the Big Cat bar." Hey, but you said winner's choice." He pointed out.
" Go ahead, take it. It's yours. You won it fair and square." Michonne groaned placing the other bar in her backpack, but when she turned back Carl handed her a piece.
" Come on, we always share."
" Fork it over." Michonne said taking the piece and smiling once it was in her mouth.
Mr. Grimes laughed and started into the woods with us following. We made a small little camp sitting around the fire and cooking some beans we had found along the way. I looked down to the M necklace and smiled missing Daryl. I counted the days and I haven't seen him in a week and a half. I hoped the man was okay where ever he was and I hope he knew I was okay too.
" How hungry are you, scale of one to 10 ?" Mr. Grimes asked looking over to Carl.
" 15."
He looked next to me next with a smile." 18."
The last person was Michonne with a smirk on her face." 28."
Mr. Grimes nodded his head lifting the beans from the fire." Yeah. Well, it's been a while. I'm gonna go check the snares."
" Can I go with you ?" Carl asked eager to get up and move.
Mr. Grimes smiled back." Well, how else are you gonna learn ?" He asked.
" Maya." Michonne answered causing me to laugh and nod my head to the older man.
" It would have been faster if I did."
" Then come." He asked smiling." You too." Mr. Grimes added holding his hand out for her. She got up and we walked in the woods." We'll stay another day or two. Get some more rest."
