* Holy crap this literally is the longest chapter I ever wrote, but this episode had so many scenes and dialogue*
Maya's pov
The sudden rumble of thunder woke me instantly followed by the flashes covering the room. Another night storm. I felt Carl's arms tighten around me and smiled turning to face me. He was handsome in his sleep with a small smile on his face likely from a good dream and little snores. I reached up combing a piece of his hair from his face slowly seeing him wake up with a brighter smile.
" I didn't mean to wake you." I whispered caressing his face.
" It's okay. I like waking up like this." He spoke, his morning voice deepening while his arms pulled me closer to him." Nightmare ?"
" No. I just heard the storm and woke up." I said seeing he nodded still staring at me." Why did you fall in love with me ?"
" You say it like it's impossible."
" Because it is." I whispered." People like me. They don't get a happy ending, but lately...I feel like I've been the happiest I'll ever be."
His hand slowly ran up my side," Three months after Woodbury came to the prison, I started having feels. I was confused and I asked my Dad only for him to tell me it was a crush. He said crushes are odd because either it's a fling or real feelings. He said I'll know if my crush on you is either or. I fell in love with you when we accidentally kissed back at the prison. It was suppose to mean nothing. Just an accident, but it felt real. It felt natural and if you didn't pull away so quick, it could of went on much longer."
I giggled lightly," So an accident caused you to love me ?"
He nodded his head," Then you got sick and it just enhanced. The fact that you were in there and I just couldn't do anything." He explained frowning." Actually, a lot of things enhanced it. The prison blowing up and I couldn't find you. When Joe's group attacked and Harley was hurting you. When Terminus aimed their guns at us both times. You leaving to Grady Memorial. When did you fall in love with me ?"
" Unlike you, I don't think mine is so romantic." I explained." I think I always had feelings about you, but I was too afraid of myself to admit it. It really came to me when you kissed me in Jessie's house. I felt loved for the first time."
Carl leaned forward giving me a deep kiss and I kissed him back quickly pulling him closer to me needing more. A moan escaped his lips and I smiled to myself flipping us over so I was on top and ran my hands through his hair. He sat up quickly holding both sides of my leg when one of his hands slowly ran up my leg and to my back chilling my spine with his cold touch.
We both came up for air breathing heavily and I knew we both had stopped knowing the three adults in the household that would quite literally kill us if we did go any further.
" You moaned." I teasing hearing us both let out a laugh at the same time.
" Can you blame me ? You're hot." He admitted and I laughed again staring into his eyes.
" I know one thing. I love you so much and I have never been this happy before in my life."
He leaned forward pecking my lips with a smile," Same goes here, Princess." He teased and I playfully rolled my eyes getting off his lap and heading for the door." Where you going ?"
