"Meribella? You look terrible."

"Gee." I smiled at MJ.
"Thanks."

"Sorry but, you know how I am."

Everyone was already at our meet up spot to pack up the bus. I'd like to say that peter and I are cool now, but he and Ned didn't sit anywhere near me once we got on the bus. And Peter kept looking back at me then turning away.
I don't want it to be like this. It's my fault that it is like this though.

"Alright everyone let's starts practicing." Liz smiled at everyone and stood up tall. I know that I'd get all of these correct.

"The Words for DNA?"

I pressed my hands against the bell immediately and it rang through the bus.
"Meribella?"

"Deoxyribonucleic Acid."

"Correct. Nice one." She smiled at me.
I gave a smile back, but really didn't want too.
Ughhhh! I can't be upset with Liz when she's done literally nothing wrong! She's also insanely sweet.
It's not her fault that Peter likes her.

"Ya know happy, I gotta tell ya this is a total invasion of privacy... that's different."

I turned around and saw Peter and Ned trying to hide while Peter talked on the phone to.. Happy?
Why would he be talking to Happy?
"I'll call you soon." He smiled and hung up the phone.

"Why were you talking to Happy?"
I asked, scooting out of my own seat and sliding into one right in front of him and Ned.

"It was for the Stark internship. You know." He laughed, but it sounded nervously forced.

"How do you know Happy?" Ned asked.

Oh shit. I didn't think that through.
Peter and I both looked at each other with wide eyes...
"Uhh she."
"I..." we answered at the same time.

"She Met him once..."
He looked at me and signaled to play along.

"Yeah!" I jumped up quickly.
"I Uh, met Happy at an interviewing one time. I Uh, helped him find Mr.Starks sunglasses. He loves them."

Ned kinda looked at the two of us with a blank face, then he started nodding his head with a smile.
"That's so cool." He smiled.
I looked at Peter and we both started to laugh.
I can't believe we almost blew my cover.

Oh Ned, no one deserves you.

"Alright. I will go get our room keys. Everyone, pick your partner." Mr. Harrington said, walking over to the front desk.

"MJ!"
She wasn't far from me, but my excited behavior and her calm/sarcastic/blunt/realist behavior fits our friendship perfectly. It adds to our lives.
We are totally opposite, yet exactly what we both needed.

"You sure you don't want Peter as your roommate?" She smirked and nudged my shoulder.

"No! I want you."
She simply rolled her eyes as we grabbed our key from Mr.Harrington and began to walk to our room.

"This trip is exciting, are you going to go protest with me?"

Mmmmmm....
"I'd truly love to, but I think I've got enough politics in my life haha."
Thanks Sokovia Accords.

"Well, what are you gonna do?"
Even though her face looks like she couldn't care less and is extremely bored, that is actually her "I'm interested" face.
Very odd, I know. Very difficult to read, I know. But that is just what is so amazing about our friendship.

I'm actually incredibly happy that I've gotten to know MJ on a deeper level.
She says the same, since she doesn't exactly have any friends.
She's been the person I go too for everything know, and I her.
