Chapter 10 - asking for help

I walked through town I had put the letter in my bag along with somehow the bear. I was thinking about the letter. Who is graham Humbert. I walked into " granny's" and ordered a milkshake and salad. It was my brain food. The waitress was a young girl named Ruby her grandmother was the owner of the restaurant. She wore a lot of red too.

Someone sat down across from me and I looked up to see someone I never expected to see.

" what do you want Neal" I hadn't seen him seen him sense he left me and Emma to get caught by the cops.

" Emma told me what happened"

" I'm not explaining myself to you Neal so just go away and leave me alone. " I snapped taking a drink of my shake" what happened to the funny little orphaned blonde that tried to take my car" he chuckled

I smirked" she grew up, found her brother, then lost him again."

" funny how our lives went down hill" he said looking at his hands

" down hill, my life started at the bottom of a hill" I stated with a sigh" Neal do you know someone by the name of Graham Humbert " I asked looking at him" yeah why do you ask"

Reaching into my bag I brought out the letter and the bear." I got a text message telling me to go to the dock, and I found this on the Pier," after reading the letter he looked at me with sympathy. I hated sympathy. I glared at him " don't give me that look you know I hate sympathy"

He raised his hands in surrender" I'm just saying Mia are you sure you want to go down that road. He's the man that abandoned you the day you were born.

" I just need answers. Why he only wanted me and not both of us and I have to do it soon"

He gave me a confused look" what do you mean" I looked at the table as I stuffed the bear and letter back in my bag" I saw my own death neal" said starting to cry now. I threw the money on the table and walked out. " wait Mia, you can't just run your whole life" I stopped and turned to him glaring now.

" running my whole life, Neal from the moment I was born I've been Chase's little sister. When Chase died I became the dead guy's sister. Emma has Henry and you and everyone else, who do I have" then I turned and walked away.

I some how ended up at the beach. I sat down on the sand and pulled the bear out. Then I thought of something getting up I walked over to a bench and sat the bear next me. I crossed my legs and faced it.

"I don't why he left the note with you but I intend to find out" I concentrated on the bear, I almost had it when I was interrupted by none other then the person I hit with a trash can

" sorry to interrupt your one eyed starring contest with the stuffed bear but Emma has been looking for you"

" tell her it's going to have to wait because I'm doing something very important here, and no I'm not crazy "

He was eye-ing my bear" touch the bear and I'll throw that hook so far off the dock you'll have to swim for it"

" its more important then that be-" before he could finish that sentence I had thrown ten feet away" tell Emma if she values our friendship she will leave me alone" I picked up the bear and started walking. Only to be stopped by Neal. " get out of the way Neal I don't want to hurt you too"

" please Mia listen to me your the only one that can help" I gave him a confused look

" help with what"

" help us find a bunch of missing people" with a sigh I put the bear in my bag and followed him to a pawn shop. Giving him a weird look I asked" what are we doing at an old pawn shop" he smiled and laughed

" gotta know all the answers don't you" I'm smirked and followed him inside. Standing in the shop were Emma, Regina,a man with a sword, a pregnant lady, Henry, a guy with a crossbow,Hook,Gold and Belle.

I didn't meet Emma's eye.

Regina was the first say something" how's she supposed to help us" I just stood there smirking.

" Mia is the only one of us that can find them" Emma pointed out Then turned to me" are you sure you want to do this"

I shrugged" not like I have a choice anyway, so who am I finding" the guy with the bow walked over to me" one my friends, his name is little john" I nodded" I need something of his and space to work."then I turned to Emma" Emma I know you were just trying to help but I've had control over it for years. I don't need help"
