Later That Day
[E]

At the moment I'm sitting by the desk Spencer usually occupies in our dorm room. I had to borrow it from her since I've got tons of assignments to do until Monday morning. It's not like the desk is hers, but she's the one sitting there all the time so it just felt natural to ask if I could use it tonight.

''How's it going?'' Spencer spoke up, her legs dangling off the bed and with one hand holding up her head high enough so she could look me in the eye.

''Good.'' I finished writing the sentence I was in the middle of and then laid down my pencil. There was a tough pain appearing as soon as I opened my palm and the muscles started to relax. ''But I think I'm done for tonight. How about you?''

''Oh, Em. I finished everything before class ended.'' Spencer proudly said and exhaled an enormous load of air in toughness. When it comes to school, she's tough. Other than that.. not so much. ''Em..?''

I swung around the black office chair and leaned against the backrest with my hands formally locked in height with my ribs. ''Yes, Spence?''

''This might be out of range, but I have a feeling that Sarah is into you.'' Spencer uncomfortably expressed and gulped.

''Well, I haven't been able to avoid her curiosity about everything that involves me either.'' I politely replied with my British accent. It's not a good one, but I feel so powerful when I use it.

Spencer shot me a glare and folded her arms. ''I'm being serious here, Em! What are you going to do about it?''

''I'm not going to do anything.'' I shrugged and got up from the chair, then threw myself on my bed and pressed my face against one of my pillows.

''Shouldn't you tell her that you're not interested then? Isn't it wrong to lead her on and pretend that her feelings for you are mutual when they're not?'' Spencer questioned.

''Why should I even care about what she thinks about me? It's not like we know for sure that your theory is true?'' I pointed out. I don't want any girl after me, especially not here. I'm in enough trouble as it is while being involved with Alison in a way I shouldn't be. The last thing I need is drama that includes more than one girl.

''True, we don't. But it doesn't hurt to try, right? Wouldn't it be nice to have someone?'' Spencer asked uncertainty. Can't she hear herself? She's not even talking about me anymore.

''I interpret it as you have not tried to make contact with Aria yet?'' I said and went straight to the real issue here.

Spencer's mouth just dropped open. ''What? We're not talking about- I mean we are- It's so not- Ugh, fine.. No.'' She fumbled on the words. A classic mistake when you want to sound trustworthy.

''Why don't you just go and sit with her at lunch? I bet she'd love your company.'' I mentioned cheerfully. I need to help her. Spencer has no clue how to speak to girls in a romantic and flirty way. She sounds like chewbacca with a brain haemorrhage every time she tries to flirt. Trust me, I have witnessed it.

''God, stop making everything sound so easy! This is so far away from my comfort zone that I feel nauseated, pregnant and about to die at the same time!'' Spencer sounded extremely frustrated while expressing that sentence. I wonder if she was about to die while mentioning it as well.

''Alright!'' I exclaimed and began to change into my uniform. Only the top, since I don't want Spencer to get frightened by the sight of a monster. Not a big one, but still a monster.

Spencer eyed me suspiciously. ''And where do you think you are going?''

''I'm going to find out what dorm room Miss. Montgomery sleeps in and then visit her for a little chat.'' I smirked and put on my shoes and uniform jacket.
