Habromania

55 9 28

The dark envelopes the light
And slowly the darkness wins
A new world is created
A world that's not in her control

Her mind is in chaos and she screams in agony
Her heart is shattered and her soul is torn
She was not herself anymore

She defended herself by forming another world
Stories with herself as different characters
Where she was happy and smiling

The longer she stayed the worse it became
Reality was soon disappearing and her world was more real
But she knew what she was doing
She liked staying away when all that waited her was pain

She enjoyed the slight tease of happiness
And would chase after it as much as she could
There were too many responsibilities
Too many painful memories
And not enough good ones that she made new ones

Everything around her crumbled but she wore a smile
Not because of her loved ones
But because of the people she created for her happiness
It was a beautiful bond she cherished
Because she knew people would leave
But her world was always there
To be opened and explored.

Habromania: delusions of being happy

Don't do it! It's really addicting, honestly, when you can force your happiness. I can do that and maybe it's a good coping mechanism, but I feel like it's not. Right now, I might know the worlds I create are not real but what if the line blurs you know, so just don't do it for happiness but only for fun.

Anyways, I really hope you liked the poem and thank you so much to all my readers for supporting me so much! I really didn't expect people to like what I write but you make me believe I'm good, so thank you.

Take care,

Anera
