My Dear Friend

The people you love
The people you care about
Why do you push them away?
Why do we push each other away?

I know you care as much as I do
Cause you told me you would've left otherwise
Yet we are both stuck on a seesaw together
Close yet so far away, hurting alone when we could heal together

You changed my life and I changed yours
We talked for hours, lost in the world we created
There was not a single thing we didn't say yet you told me that you kept yourself hidden

Everytime you pushed me away I knew it
I could tell with a single text how you were doing
I could feel when you were sad, your emotions engraved in my heart

I know you are not used to this much care as you have mentioned to me multiple times
But I'll still care for you, as you do
Because I pushed you away too
Secret words of help we created to help each other yet we still couldn't use them
Because as I was a broken soul, you were one too

You told me to replace you each time you thought you hurt me, claiming there was someone better for me
But you make me the happiest
You cannot be replaced
I wish you would understand that I'll stay until the very end

My dear beautiful friend
Our story won't end
It's just a beginning for me and you
A healing between two friends lost in this big world

I might not know much as I'm still young but I know one thing
A friendship between ours is rare
To give your all to someone and to receive all back
People like those exist no more
Lost in their selfish desires but my dear friend
You proved me wrong when you cherished me more than I ever felt

I'll give you hand for you to hold
I'll give you my heart for you to feel
I'll give you my eyes for you to see
Ill make you believe you belong not just in this world but in my heart
