LUKE'S POV
The car ride home felt like a millennium. I drove as fast as the law would allow and then some, but we still weren't getting home as quick as I would've hoped. My mind was racing about as fast as my vehicle as I turned the last corner and pulled up in front of the house. Things had taken such an unexpected turn that'd I'd hardly had time to think.
Speaking of which, what the hell was going on? How did she go from yelling at me about shoes to coming onto me like it was no big deal? Had she been drinking? Was she even serious? Like, was this really going to happen? Then it hit me.
Oh, fuck. I'm still a virgin. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing! How did I not think of this before? Should I even tell her? No, probably not. But she'll find out when she observes that I'm about as skilled as an eggplant when it came to shit like this. I am so damn awkward and she's so beautiful and experienced and OH GOD she's touching my thigh.
Lucey leaned over and kissed my jaw, snapping me out of my thoughts long enough for me to remember to turn the car off. "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly.
"Of course," I lied. It's not like the only girl I've ever loved is about to find out I'm basically a plant when it comes to sex or anything related.
"Awesome," she grinned, and I knew that I was in way over my head. "Let's go."
She jumped out of the car and walked around to my side, opening the door, grabbing my hand, and rushing me up the front steps and through the entrance, straight into Calum. Oops. I guess I forgot he lived here too. Awk.
"Hey guys! How was shopping?"
No one spoke for about ten seconds. When I realized Lucey wasn't going to say anything, I cleared my throat and somehow managed a fluent sentence. "It was nice."
"Nice?" Calum knew something was up.
"Yep," I said, trying to explain to him with my eyes what was going on. We had that close of a friendship.
Finally his eyes widened and he cleared his throat. "Oh. That's good, then. I was just getting ready to, um, go into town for, uh, lunch? Yeah, lunch. Did you two want me to bring anything back for you?"
"No, I don't think so," Lucey jumped in, obviously anxious for him to leave. "Thanks though. Have fun!"
Calum, sensing her impatience, said a quick goodbye and was soon out the door. It was now just Lucey and I alone in the house.
"Thank God! I thought he'd never leave!" Lucey exclaimed, and before I could respond, she had me up against the living room wall. "I didn't think I could last another minute."
"You want to tell me what's going on right now, Lu?" I was honestly beginning to grow a bit concerned.
"What do you mean?" She asked sweetly before planting a kiss on my lips.
"I mean why are you acting, you know, so... feisty?"
"Do you not want this? I just assumed that--" I cut her off with a swift kiss.
"It's not that I don't want it, because I really really do. I just figured you'd want to take things a little slower since its like our first time together or whatever." I cleared my throat, feeling a little uncomfortable discussing this.
"Oh. Yeah. That's completely fine. I just didn't want to bore you, that's all." Lucey looked slightly embarrassed as she looked at the ground.
"You could never bore me, babe," I chuckled before scooping her up and carrying her to my bedroom, the one that we had once again begun to share.
