I woke up with a groan as the sunlight filtered through my window. I sat up in my bed and winced as a sharp pain coursed through my head. I reached for my hoodie because I was freezing. probably just a migraine, I thought to myself. I looked to my side to find Sam, but he wasn't there. must be downstairs. I got up and walked out of the room. the sunlight downstairs was much brighter than our room, so it only made my headache worse. I sat at the counter and Sam walked in from the living room all dressed for his day.
*"good morning. sleep well?" he asked as he walked towards the fridge.
~"yea. slept great." I mumbled as I put my hands over my face and sighed.
Sam turned around and walked over to me. he placed his hands on mine and pulled them away from my face.
*"what's wrong, love?" he asked as he kissed my knuckles and laced our fingers together.
~"headache..." I whispered.
he took one hand and pressed it to my head.
*"ok. you're warm. back to bed. come on." he pulled me up from my seat and back upstairs.
he walked into my room and let me climb back into my bed. he kissed my forehead and walked out.
~"wait. where are you going?" I whined to him.
*"I'll be back in a sec." he called back.
he walked in a minute later. he had changed into one of my hoodies he stole and a pair of joggers.
~"why'd you change?" I asked with confusion.
*"you're sick, silly. I'm staying here with you." he said as he pulled the covers off of me and climbed in next to me.
~"but you're gonna get sick." I told him as I scooted away from him.
*"I don't care. I would much rather be here with you and get sick than leave you here by yourself right now." he told me as he scooted closer to lay his head on my chest and reach up to mess with my hair.
I leaned into the touch, suddenly not caring if I got him sick, and kissed his head. between Sam running his fingers through my hair and the warmness radiating off our bodies, I drifted into a deep sleep.
