I walked into school with the poster in my hands. the lunch bell was going to ring in about 2 minutes, which means everyone will be in the courtyard. including Colby. we aren't dating, but we both admitted our feelings for each other a few days ago. and Prom is right around the corner, so this is perfect timing. I looked down at my watch. 1 minute. I took a deep breath and stood in the spot I planned. everyone in school was in on my promposal idea. the trail of roses led to a curtain. someone was going to blindfold Colby and walk his down to the curtains. along the way, he would be handed a single rose of every color from different people. then, he would stop and someone would take his blindfold off. I would step out from behind the curtains and show him the poster. the poster said, "flowers are the second most beautiful thing. can I take the first to Prom?" the bell rang and I took a deep breath. everyone walked out of the cafeteria doors, Devyn guiding Colby with his blindfold on, and stood in their places. Devyn led Colby down the trail to the curtains. he took each rose and they made a bouquet by the time he reached the end. they stopped directly in front of the curtains. Devyn removed his blindfold and whispered something in his ear. he looked at the curtains and smiled. I stepped out and held up the poster. he took a second to look over it and looked back to me. he broke into a smile and threw his arms around me in a hug. he leaned back and kissed me. I can't describe the feeling I felt. I leaned back and hugged him.
*"is that a yes?" I asked.
~"fuck yea, it's a yes." he laughed and kissed me again.
he pulled away. then placed his chin on my shoulder.
~"now all that's left is for you to ask me to be your boyfriend." he said in my ear.
*"well then... will you escort me to prom as my boyfriend?" I asked loud enough for everyone to hear.
~"of course." he smiled.
