Patton's P.O.V.
I stood in the dark hallway. It was cold. I was scared but tried to push away the feeling of hopelessness that surrounded me as I stopped in front of Deceit's door. The black and yellow gave me chills as I knocked a few times.
" Let me guess... Patton? " asked a groggy, extremely annoyed voice from the other side.
" Y-yes.... H-how did you know? "
" Let's just say it wasn't expected. " he said as he swung the door open. He waved me in and to a chair at a table. I sat down and he sat across from me. Boy, he looked tired. " So, out of experience, I'm guessing you don't want to make a deal to change who you are, or what you stand for, or your personality or something. "
I gulped. He was scary good at this. " Uh, y-yeah... " I couldn't keep the stutter out of my voice.
" So, what is it then. It's not four in the morning, I don't want sleep. Like, any, at this point. "
" I uhm... Well .... I.... I am the happy one, so I hate all my other emotions... I can't stand being unhappy, but it's so hard pretending. I want all those other emotions.... Gone. Is there anything you can do to help me? "
" No. No, I don't think so. "
I was upset at first, but then I realized he speaks opposite, so I breathed a sigh of relief.
He snapped his fingers, and I jumped seeing depression and the Duke - Remus - sitting next to him. He talked with them for a few minutes and I couldn't tell what they were saying, but when they turned back to me, Deceit was holding a.... contract? I think?
" Ya know, these aren't flying off the shelf these days. Here, all ya gotta do is not change your trait name, blah blah blah, I'm totally not getting tired of this conversation, it's not like I've had it four times over.... So, we gotta deal, or what? "
Wow, he must be REALLY tired...
" Okay... " I signed it and gave it back.
He told me to get out, so I left. He tools me the effects would be final when I woke up. Jeez, kinda pushy... Then again, we don't like each other, so....
I wonder who I'm gonna be?
